"Speak properly!"
Gu Xi exerted force with his feet, but the octopus could not pull its owner. So it eagerly raised its tentacles and pointed in a specific direction.
"Is there something there?" Gu Xi looked in the direction of its tentacles, a sense of curiosity rising in his heart.
Octopus jumped excitedly a few times on the spot, then quickly leaped in the direction it pointed, occasionally turning back to signal Gu Xi to follow.
Gu Xi followed closely behind, filled with suspicion.
After turning a corner, the scene before her eyes was breathtaking. There was a jumble of random, disorganized items piled up haphazardly.
Then she saw the octopus leap to the top of the pile of items, its eight tentacles tightly binding them together.
Gu Xi understood its actions. It was showing off, flaunting its spoils.
"You fished that out?"
"Chirp chirp!"
A pet that works hard deserves praise. So Gu Xi generously gave it a pile of fish food.
The octopus, having received the fish food, used all its tentacles to gather it in a corner and hide it away.
Its behavior surprised Gu Xi once again. Previously, the octopus would eat as much fish food as there was. Now it was actually hoarding food!
The matter was far from over. Gu Xi saw the octopus grab several bags of fish food right under her nose, jump to the side of the boat, and beckon the Shark King to come up.
The shark king slowly rose from the water, its enormous size pressing against the side of the boat.
Then, the octopus threw the fish food into the shark king's mouth, and it chirped every now and then.
The two fish looked like best buddies, as if the days when the octopus was played with like a ball never happened.
Seeing this, Gu Xi sighed: The world of fish is so simple. They just go through a few disasters together and they are as close as fish.
After seeing that the octopus was unharmed, she put away the things the octopus had scooped up.
I don't know if it's because the octopus became stronger, so its skills were upgraded as well.
It now produces far more items than before. The octopus used to only be able to collect a dozen or so pieces of Star Steel per day, but now it can collect dozens.
Looking at the fruits of its labor, Gu Xi couldn't have been happier. However, her joy was short-lived, as the octopus encountered another unpleasant situation.
Of course, this time the octopus wasn't at fault; in fact, it was the victim.
After packing her belongings, Gu Xi resumed training her mental strength. But not long after, she heard a loud bang, as if something had fallen onto the deck.
There was no red light overhead, so it wasn't an enemy attack. She quickly went downstairs to check the situation. She found a fish four or five meters long struggling on the deck.
I initially thought it was another fish caught by an octopus, but instead, I discovered that an octopus crawled up from underwater. The funniest thing was that its tentacles had become strange, like they had grown some kind of small bumps.
Before she could even look, she saw the octopus extend its tentacles, grab a large fish from the deck, and throw it into the water.
Immediately afterwards, the extended tentacles slapped the large fish repeatedly. After the waves subsided, she discovered that many similar fish had surfaced near the boat, some nearly ten meters long, others two or three meters.
After whipping the fish carcass, the octopus retracted its tentacles, and the small bumps on its body became red and swollen.
Could it be poisoning?
Remembering her previous poisoning experience, Gu Xi quickly opened the fish-raising system. She then discovered the special markings indicating infection on the octopus.
She turned on the marker, and the fish-raising system gave her a prompt.
[Fishkeeping tip: New information discovered: Your octopus is allergic to red-spotted fish.]
...
Okay, now she knows why the octopus whipped the fish carcass.
I never expected that fish could cause allergies! What a strange premise! (This chapter is now complete. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
