Chapter 146 Fish Farming in Groups, Sea Beast Nests (2/2)

Sea monster...nest?

Gu Xi went through the words in her mind before she belatedly realized it.

"So sea monsters have nests!" she exclaimed, especially when she thought about the octopus she was raising and the sea dragon she had killed before. She felt like she had missed out on a billion dollars.

If the game had a lair, why didn't it warn her sooner? If she had known the sea monsters had a lair, she would have raided it long ago!

Her mournful gaze fell upon the octopus, which had shrunk again. For some reason, she thought of the octopus craving fish food.

At this moment, the image of the octopus's dilapidated nest flashed through her mind, and she no longer seemed to want to go.

Although the game hinted at the existence of sea monster lairs to explore, it didn't specify where the lairs were located, leaving her to search for them on her own.

Gu Xi recalled every detail she had encountered in this sea area. Suddenly, she remembered that the ship had been attacked inexplicably, and then the Crimson Gaze emitted a red light.

There must be a reason for the disordered order. Could that be the lair of a sea monster?

Having a clue is better than having no clue at all, so Gu Xi decided to go there and take a look.

However, the sea before her was like an endless expanse of ink, and directions and location became blurred in the darkness. She couldn't even distinguish east from west, let alone return to where she had been.

She now faces two options: one is to wait until the manta rays are successfully tamed, and then use telepathy to have them lead the way; the other is to have the octopus lead the way.

She recalled the octopus's tentacled movements as it tried to retrieve something, which must have angered the manta rays, leading to their attack.

Moreover, the sea monster's nest is, after all, the home of the Radiant Ray. It seems a bit unfair of her to send the fish to raid the nest with their owner.

So Gu Xi still let the octopus lead the way.

The octopus, which had barely had a chance to rest, was thrown back into the water by its owner and was left to fend for itself on the dark sea.

Gu Xi also had the sharks pull the boat, following the octopus towards the sea monster's lair.

About half an hour later, the octopus stopped at a spot on the surface of the sea. It transformed back into a small fish and chirped and chattered with Gu Xi on the deck.

You're saying the sea monster's lair is down there?

"Chirp chirp!"

"How did you find it?" Gu Xi was really curious; she couldn't understand how these marine creatures could determine direction.

Then, Gu Xi saw the octopus start waving its arms and legs.

It waved its tentacles, making a retrieval motion, then the long tentacles seemed to touch something, and then the tentacles paused, unleashing a super-miniature water jet that struck a board that it had found from somewhere.

Then it used its tentacles to pull the board aside, and began a chase with the manta ray.

After it demonstrated its operation, Gu Xi understood.

"So, you were the one who sprayed the water jets before, right?" Gu Xi clasped his hands together and stretched his muscles.

The sudden jet of water nearly capsized the boat, and she thought something terrible had happened.

Now, although she knows that this was the octopus's way of keeping its distance from the ray, if it hadn't scooped up another fish's nest, why would that other fish have been chasing after her and trying to capsize her boat?

"Chirp chirp!"

The octopus froze, vehemently refuting the accusation.

However, resistance was futile, and Gu Xi threw it into the water again. Then, using his mental power, he spoke to it, "The nest is down there; I can't go down. Go and retrieve the things for me!" (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
