Oh my god! Fire!
Gu Xi looked at the burning wooden crate next to her with disbelief. She quickly asked Octopus to get some seawater to put out the fire.
Just as she was frantically trying to gather the energy, the energy ball finished and shot off towards the target with a whoosh. This time, it was full of firepower, and it whooshed away under the propulsion of the heat wave.
Wherever the fireball passed, water vapor rose, and this ball of energy left its mark on the sea surface with its firepower.
Upon seeing this, the octopus carrying the bucket was so startled that it dropped the bucket into the water.
Under the witness of Gu Xi and the octopus, the energy ball crashed directly into the giant ice floe. This time, it stirred up a little water, but it was not caused by the energy impact, but by the giant ice block that was instantly melted and fell into the water.
Both the person and the fish stared blankly into the distance, completely forgetting to react. Gu Xi, in particular, hadn't expected the Fire Element Cannon to be so powerful after being artificially modified. She had only used four pieces of Fire Element Essence so far; imagine what would happen if she used a dozen or twenty!
[Warning, warning! The Future is on fire! Please extinguish it immediately!]
A game warning suddenly sounded, instantly snapping Gu Xi out of her shock. She slapped her forehead, utterly annoyed. How could she have forgotten! Her boat was on fire!
She and the octopus were just putting out the fire, stunned by the power of the Fire Cannon. Now is not the time to marvel at the Fire Cannon.
Although the Fire Elemental Cannon has a heat-insulating and fire-resistant ash crystal base, the high temperature accumulated before the Fire Elemental Cannon was fired first caused the trash wooden box to burn, and then the flames continued to spread to other places.
Although there were few obstructions around, the high temperature of the splash damage to the Future's base was considerable. Furthermore, since it was a splash from a fire elemental cannon energy cluster, the damage was even greater.
"Quickly, put out the fire, cool it down! Octopus, summon the water jet!"
The deck beneath her feet was scorching hot from the intense heat, and even though the weather was cool, she still couldn't stand firmly.
The octopus spouted water jets, but the small jets were no match for the high temperature. The octopus could only spout even more powerful jets of water imbued with spiritual energy.
As a result, the area around the ship was a mess, and then Gu Xi saw various notifications of the ships being damaged.
Gu Xi: ...This is really a dilemma – putting out the fire is one thing, but not putting it out is another.
After a chaotic scene, the man and the fish finally managed to put out the fire.
Although the fire was extinguished, the ship's deck was severely damaged. It was only thanks to the houses built with ash crystals that the fire was contained.
Gu Xi looked at the mottled ground and couldn't help but sigh.
Forget it, forget it. Even with a dozen or twenty Fire Essences to increase firepower, the energy from just these four Fire Essences is barely enough to overwhelm her ship. If she had actually placed a dozen or twenty Fire Essences down there, her ship would probably have turned into a fire pit.
If we want to increase firepower, we should solve the fire problem first. Indeed, one shouldn't be too greedy; one must know how to exercise restraint.
The fire cannon's effectiveness has been tested, and there's no need to worry about the sea freezing over and being unable to move forward. So, shouldn't she remodel the ship?
Gu Xi glanced silently at the deck, which was damaged but still intact due to the effect of the Heart of Solidity.
Although it was a fire, the good thing is that she didn't have to dismantle the damaged parts again; instead, she could directly lay a deck made of new materials.
As the saying goes, "A loss may turn out to be a blessing in disguise," meaning you never know whether something will turn out well or bad until the very last moment. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
