As she disconnected her mental energy from the filaments, a strange feeling welled up inside her. For some reason, her heart started racing, and she felt as if she had lost something.
Only after the feeling completely disappeared did she begin to ponder with lingering fear. Was this what it felt like to have one's mental energy severed?

After her spiritual power dissipated, the broken key remained suspended in the air. Then, she saw specks of golden light emerge from the original cracks. Because the original key was so badly damaged, the golden light eventually enveloped the entire key completely.
After the key was enveloped in golden light, a colorful, transparent halo began to rotate around it.
Gu Xi reached out and gently touched it. But before her hand could touch the key, a game notification sounded.

Upon seeing the prompt, she unconsciously pursed her lips. The tutorial in the Book of Greed hadn't mentioned that she needed to repair the stitches afterward. She had originally thought that it was as simple as patching something up, and once it was fixed, it would be usable. It seemed she had been too narrow-minded.
Fortunately, the wait wasn't too long. She couldn't go to the island today, but she had to make the most of her time tomorrow.
Gu Xi put the matter of the key aside for the time being, and then opened the personal attribute panel.
During the sewing process, she discovered that her mental strength had greatly improved, and now it was time to test the results.
The freezing weather has lasted for 18 days, and her mental strength has remained at the B level for quite some time.

Since she had to get to the island early today, the octopus acted as an alarm clock, dragging its tired owner up from the ground.
Gu Xi, sporting two large dark circles under her eyes, got up from the ground.
She didn't have much time to change her clothes, so she could only eat a few bites of food hastily under the octopus's insistence before preparing to head to the island.
As soon as Gu Xi stepped outside, a biting wind lashed her face. The chill immediately sobered her up considerably.
