Recently, he noticed a lot of dead fish. At first, he could only see a few every few days, but later he could see many every day, and now these dead fish have started to appear in piles.
These fish carcasses varied in size, some less than the thickness of a finger, while others were a meter or two long.
Large groups of dead fish floated on the sea with the waves, eventually colliding with ships due to the currents and wind. Meanwhile, as the number of dead fish increased, many had climbed over the ship's side and lay dead on the vessel.
He didn't want his boat to become a burial ground for fish carcasses, so he had to clean and sweep it regularly every day.
This job was recently created; it's useless and a waste of his energy. He is very dissatisfied with this new job.
After cleaning up the fish carcasses, Lorraine examined the filth in her hands before replying to Gu Xi's message.
Lorraine: I had something to take care of earlier, but I'm free now.
Gu Xi waited for his reply until Luo Lin sent her a message, at which point she finally dialed his number.
Gu Xi: "We haven't been in touch for quite a while. I have some inside information about the Deep Sea Clan. I wonder if you'd be interested?"
Deep-sea creatures?
Lorraine was somewhat intrigued by Gu Xi's key point. Before coming to the New World, he was a naturalist, so he was naturally very interested in understanding new species.
When he first arrived in this world, he had to struggle to survive, so his interests had to be put aside. Now that he had the opportunity, he was naturally very interested.
For once, Lorraine's reply to Gu Xi sounded somewhat excited.
Lorraine: "Of course I'm interested. Can you tell me more?"
Gu Xi looked at the key points she had written down on the paper and began to explain them to Lorraine.
Gu Xi: "I plan to use the New World magazine as a medium to absorb information about the deep-sea race that humans have learned about through the magazine, and eventually build a database of information about the deep-sea race."
Gu Xi didn't explain the ultimate purpose of establishing the database, but Lorraine knew Gu Xi's personality well and knew that she probably had personal reasons for saying this, and at the same time, it was to improve the human survival rate.
Collecting this information is not easy, but the key is how to use it after it is collected.
Unfortunately, due to the pressure of survival, there is not much time left to assess various risks.
After a moment's consideration and drawing a line in his mind, Lorraine replied, "If I join, what do you need me to do?"
Gu Xi: "Investment in materials and money."
Lorraine: "Will Li Ruoyang accept the investment?"
Although they all knew Li Ruoyang through Gu Xi's introduction, knowing each other and having a relationship is one thing, but dealing with such an important matter is another.
Gu Xi: "You don't need to worry about that. I'm already a major shareholder of 'New World.' Although Li Ruoyang currently has all the operational rights, he won't object to the Deep Sea Clan information."
What Gu Xi didn't say was that even if Li Ruoyang had objections, she had ways to resolve them. After all, she could find the sea-seal stone resources he needed most through auctions and other means, which was her negotiating power.
Luo Lin thought it made sense that Gu Xi was the investor behind "New World," and he felt more confident about his next move to negotiate conditions based on his ideas.
Lorraine: "Okay, let's talk about what's next."
Supplies? Money? And ultimately, profit?
His ideas are far from mundane! (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
