Gu Xi briefly recounted the events of the auction.
Ais: "Pfft~ Of course there are. Poisoning? Skin ulcers? Mental blockage? Could it be an ancient virus?"
Ais wasn't quite sure; his previous memories were too distant, and they were somewhat hazy.
Gu Xi asked in confusion, "Didn't those fish carcasses you blocked in the distant sea earlier have the same symptoms?"
Ais felt a little wronged. "Plop! All that's left is white stuff. How would I know? Besides, mental energy isolation only works if all living beings have mental energy."
Gu Xi had only heard about the situation from Ai Si before; she had never seen it with her own eyes. Now that he said it was just some white stuff, she couldn't help but imagine all sorts of rotting white lumps of flesh.
Gu Xi: "Hoo~"
Ais: "Puru~ What's wrong with you?"
Gu Xi: "It's nothing, just don't let me see them."
After saying that, Gu Xi thought for a moment and refined the scope of "them" further, "whether it's fish carcasses or white things."
Ais: "Plop plop~ I don't want to see this either."
Both the human and the fish vehemently rejected those things, but Gu Xi seemed to have thought of something and asked, "Aren't you a sea creature too? You won't be poisoned, will you?"
Ais seemed to think for two seconds, then quickly replied, "Pfft~ No! I'm very healthy."
Gu Xi didn't believe her. "Didn't you say you don't remember anything? Think again, and answer carefully!"
Ais: "Pfft! Really! If I get poisoned, I can freeze myself! I'll be fine after a long time!"
Gu Xi: "Wait! You just said to freeze it?"
Ais nodded.
Gu Xi looked at him incredulously, "How many fish know about this method?"
Ais: "Puru! Many sea creatures and deep-sea creatures know this. When faced with an insurmountable problem, we freeze ourselves before the situation gets worse. Once the crisis is over, we find an opportunity to thaw."
Gu Xi's eyes widened. "Are there many others like you in the sea, frozen and locked up somewhere?!"
These words made Ai Si a little unhappy.
Ais: "Plop! How is that possible? There aren't many fish in the sea as powerful as me."
Gu Xi: "What about those deep-sea creatures or fish that freeze themselves?"
Ais: "Plop~ How would I know? Maybe it died for some reason or the ice melted accidentally and then it died."
Gu Xi suddenly had a guess, "Those... ice blocks that suddenly appeared..."
She had a hidden meaning in her words but didn't say it all, but fortunately Ais understood.
Ais: "Plop! Yeah, it might contain some deep-sea creatures or sea monsters."
"Ha...haha..." Gu Xi chuckled dryly, "So it's very possible that those ice blocks floating everywhere last time contained those deep-sea creatures or sea monsters carrying the virus? And then the virus got into the sea along with the melting ice blocks, or their corpses?"
While it sounds far-fetched, it's certainly a possibility. Furthermore, various viruses mixed together might even evolve into a supervirus.
The origin of the virus is not easy to trace, but the groups that suffer from it are clear.
The world clearly lacks the means to combat this type of virus, so how can we solve it?
Gu Xi asked Ai Si about her doubts.
Ais: "Plop! What else can we do? The ocean is so big, and not all sea areas have the virus. Let the ocean handle it!"
Fish's choice is to give up. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
