Chapter 262 Betting, The Vanished Flame Fish Beast (2/2)

"Puff puff~ They're so noisy, can I freeze them?"

“Ai Si! They’re all just cabbages and radishes,” Professor Gu Xi said, employing a form of self-consolation.

"Plop plop~ What are cabbage and radish?"

"Uh..." Gu Xi then remembered that, due to the limited land in the planting area, she had not planted any radish and cabbage seeds after obtaining them.

Her previous plan to establish a space farm has been delayed again.

"It's nothing, just a vegetable! I'll have Octopus grow it when we get back!"

"Plop plop~ But the octopus still needs to train."

"Then let the Flame Fish Beast plant it."

The Flamefish Beast, which had not yet become a domesticated fish, was completely unaware that it had already been assigned a job. At this moment, it stared at the Ice Shield Fish walking down the ice steps and hissed.

Ais withdrew her mental energy and looked at the Flame Fish Beast in front of her.

He remembered the first time he saw the flame in the water; that huge purple flame melted a large chunk of hard rock in the sea.

That rock was the stone he used to rub his back; that rock was the back-grinding stone he found after a lot of effort!

When he saw his stone melt into a pool of lava, he desperately wanted to beat up the culprit, but after searching around, he couldn't find who had spewed the flames.

He had always thought it was a naturally formed fire, but he never imagined it was actually spewed out by a sea beast called the Flame Fish. Now that he thinks about it, that ball of fire had traveled quite a distance.

Thinking of the past, Ais glared resentfully at the Flame Fish Beast. What a twist of fate! Today, he would avenge himself for his grinding stone!

"Plop plop~ My back-grinding stone."

"?" Gu Xi heard this sentence out of the blue.

"?" The Flamefish Beast tilted its head and looked at its opponent.

The two sea beasts stopped, and suddenly a white light shone on the huge circular arena below. Now all the deep-sea creatures could see the arena clearly.

Can you...see clearly?

What the hell!

The arena below was transformed into an ice-covered space, with the icy surface reflecting the surrounding environment.

"What?! What are you looking at?!"

"Referee, didn't I break the rules?!"

"Referee, you haven't called 'start' yet!"

...

The Sea Ghost Judge had to say under immense pressure: "According to the mental energy detector, no large-scale use of mental energy was detected."

As both are SS-rank, if a battle were to begin, the large-scale use of mental energy would be unavoidable. The fact that the mental energy detector isn't reacting can only mean that the battle hasn't started yet.

The Sea Ghost commentator began his dutiful explanation: "This is the first time everyone has seen the Ice Shield Fish Sea Beast. This must be its unique fighting style. It uses its innate skills to create an environment favorable for itself in battle. Such examples are not uncommon, for instance..."

Gu Xi listened to the explanation and smiled. It was truly reasonable and well-founded; if she hadn't known the truth, she would have been convinced.

She knew exactly what had happened inside, and the situation was completely different from what the sea ghost had explained.

Seeing that the ice surface remained unmoved, the referee, Sea Ghost, had no choice but to declare the challenge open.

The deep-sea creatures in the audience lowered their voices and all looked down at the arena.

Suddenly, with a loud crash, the entire ice surface shattered. Only one ice shield fish with hair that dragged on the ground stood on the platform.

"What?! The results are in?! Where's the Flamefish Beast?!"

The sea ghost commentator was about to show off its skills, but it took the sea ghost by surprise and didn't react for a moment.

The referee looked around the entire stage but couldn't find the Flame Fish Beast.

"The winner is Ice Shield Fish!"

"impossible!"

Before Gu Xi could react, she heard a shout from the merman opposite her. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
