This pleasure overflowed from his body, leaving Gu Xi in shock.
"Yes...don't you have them too?"
The Sea Ghost receptionist sighed, her tone tinged with envy, "Boats are very expensive; only the super-rich can afford to own one."
Thinking about the materials and effort required to build the ship, Gu Xi nodded unconsciously.
Once the conversation started, Gu Xi found the sea ghost in front of her quite pleasing to the eye, so she decided to ask more about the ship.
"You seem to really like the idea of a ship, so do you know what materials are best for a propulsion system?"
"I'm an expert at this! The best raw material is, of course, Abyss Crystal!" the Sea Ghost receptionist said mysteriously.
Gu Xi repeated, "Abyss Crystal?"
The Sea Ghost receptionist excitedly replied, "That's right, this is the highest grade of fuel. Aside from being expensive, it has no downsides!"
Gu Xi's eyes darted around. "What are their advantages?"
Sea Ghost Receptionist: "Its biggest advantages are its speed and durability."
As she spoke, the Sea Ghost receptionist pointed to her finger.
"A piece the size of your finger, sir, could power a ship for 30 days and nights!"
Gu Xi opened her mouth in surprise, then she took out her finger and gestured in front of the Sea Ghost receptionist, "How many gold coins is this big?"
"100 gold coins! Although that's the price, the larger the abyss crystal, the higher its value."
Gu Xi immediately shut her mouth. She thought it would be much more expensive! It wasn't that much money! She had quite a few Abyss Crystals in stock, so using them as fuel wasn't extravagant. The only thing to consider was the source.
The Sea Ghost receptionist was somewhat puzzled as she recovered from her shock.
Sea Ghost Receptionist: "Super, incomparably, and most distinguished guest, are you not satisfied?"
Gu Xi slightly parted her lips, then closed them again, before saying, "It was just a bit unexpected. Thank you, Sea Ghost, I've decided to use it as fuel!"
"Young man?"
The inexplicable address caused the Sea Ghost receptionist to crash.
Ignoring the shock of the Sea Ghost receptionist, Gu Xi turned to talk to Ai Si.
"Ais, do you know a mermaid?"
"Puru~ I've seen them once. Their tails can turn into legs. Their hair is dark blue and very long. They can sing, and it sounds beautiful."
"Did you forget to mention one? They are very beautiful."
"Plop plop~ That's not important."
"How can it not be important? It's very important! Do you like fish-men?!"
Upon hearing Gu Xi's words, Ai Si couldn't help but picture the two creatures in his mind, and the comparison made him freeze.
"Right!"
Gu Xi's tone was slightly raised, as if he had won a small victory.
Soon after, the auction finally ended. Gu Xi swiped his Hisense card and led the imprisoned mermaid back to the ship.
On the way back, Gu Xi joked with Ai Si that high-end auctions are really generous. She bought a mermaid and ended up getting a 50-square-meter mobile space as a bonus.
Although the space is small and not very useful, it would be a good choice to use it directly as the mermaid's room later.
After a series of actions, it was already late at night. Gu Xi didn't wake the sleeping mermaid, but instead put a lot of fish food in.
