At some point, the chubby little balls joined the battle.
They turned their plump bodies, spewing out streams of ice blades from their mouths.
The ice blade sliced through the air, striking at the frozen lightning.
With the help of the fish, the incoming lightning bolts were shattered one by one.
The Future also took the opportunity to accelerate forward, attempting to break out of this lightning zone.
The ship rocked gently, and reports of breaches in its defenses came from time to time.
The sea breeze howled, and lightning flashed. Finally, the dark clouds in the sky gradually thinned, and the lightning became almost invisible.
But the gale did not stop; instead, it became even more violent. Torrential rain poured down, and the waves on the sea grew even more turbulent.
The Future was violently rocked by the wind and waves. Gu Xi frowned. She originally thought that 5,000 square meters would be enough, but she did not expect it to be rocked so violently!
Indeed, the deep sea is much more dangerous than the shallow sea.
Without hesitation, Gu Xi immediately took out the materials she had stockpiled.
It's been too short since the last expansion, and she hasn't received enough fusion materials yet. The situation is urgent, so she has to use other materials for now.
"You want to expand?"
Seeing Gu Xi's solemn expression, Ai Si could roughly guess what she was thinking.
Gu Xi nodded almost imperceptibly. "The wind and waves are too fierce; relying solely on the defense system is not a solution."
"Plop! No need. This is the abyss layer. The strong winds and waves are due to turbulent currents. Once we leave the abyss layer, the winds and waves will be much smaller."
"Should we turn back?"
Although Gu Xi was reluctant to turn back, the current situation was urgent, and turning back was the wise move.
But what about the exploration?
As Gu Xi hesitated, she inadvertently noticed that the defense system had blocked another wave of wind and waves over a hundred meters high, and the deafening roar completely woke her up.
"Puff puff~ If you..."
"No, let's go back. There will be plenty of opportunities for exploration; there's no need to rush. Besides, we just got some results! It's not too late to go back when we have more results."
After saying that, Gu Xi immediately told the octopus to set off and leave the abyss.
The Future quickly turned around amidst the raging storm and sailed into the deeper ocean (1000-6000 meters).
Just then, Ais handed her a photo stone.
"Purr. Here's what you asked for earlier."
Gu Xi took the stone and poured her mental energy into it, and an image appeared.
The image shows a dark space with various star maps and Tal-era text floating in the air.
Gu Xi packed up her things, said goodbye to Ai Si, and went straight to the bedroom.
Back in her bedroom, she immediately handed the photo stone to Lorraine.
Luo Lin was somewhat surprised to receive the gift from Gu Xi. Although he had made an agreement with Gu Xi beforehand, he did not expect her to deliver the gift so quickly.
Lorraine took out the recording stone, a hint of doubt flashing in his eyes.
But when he channeled his mental energy into the recording stone, his expression instantly became excited.
“This, this is…” Lorraine’s voice trembled, his eyes filled with fanaticism. “These are images of relics from the Tar era!”
He gripped the photographic stone tightly, as if he were holding the whole world in his hands.
"Great! Great!" Lorraine exclaimed excitedly.
In his excitement, he immediately gave it to Gu Xi.
Lorraine: Thank you for providing the materials. You're amazing!
After receiving Lorraine's message, Gu Xi could feel his excitement even from a great distance.
With matters in Lorraine temporarily put on hold, Gu Xi's thoughts immediately focused on the Sea Ghost.
The Sea Ghost was the key to her contacting other deep-sea creatures. Now that her task of collecting data from the Tar era was complete, she should visit the Sea Ghost. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
