Chapter 349 I Heard You Were Looking for Me (2/2)

Gu Xi explained, picking up the water glass on the table, taking a small sip, her eyes deep.

"Even if they have no ill intentions, if they approach the Future at night to gather information, we will have enough reason to retaliate."

"Plulu..." Aisi nodded thoughtfully.

As night deepened, a gentle sea breeze swept by, bringing a touch of coolness.

Inside the cabin of the Dream, Luhmann lay on the bed, wrapped tightly in the blanket, breathing evenly, seemingly fast asleep.

In the small garden on the third floor, Gu Xi stood quietly, her clothes fluttering in the wind, outlining her slender figure.

The lightning shone on her face, reflecting her resolute gaze.

She raised her hand to check the time, and then her mental energy spread outwards like an invisible net, sensing everything around her.

"Reporting, Brother Wang! The ship that met up with Luman is huge and luxurious!" A man rushed over, his voice filled with barely concealed excitement.

Upon hearing this, a glint of light flashed in Wang Ba's eyes, and a cruel smile curled at the corner of his mouth. He stroked his chin, as if he could already see that luxurious ship becoming his spoils of war.

"Hehe, looks like we've caught a fat sheep tonight!" Wang Ba licked his lips, his eyes filled with greed. He waved his hand and ordered, "Prepare for a surprise attack!"

Upon receiving the order, those around immediately sprang into action, and the atmosphere instantly became tense.

Just then, something unexpected happened.

Outside the large ship, a ball of blue-purple flame appeared out of thin air, followed by one, two, three… the flames multiplied rapidly. The entire fleet of ships belonging to the Human Restoration Society lit up. In the blink of an eye, all the ships were completely surrounded by this eerie circle of flames.

This sudden turn of events left everyone stunned.

Wang Ba's smile froze instantly, replaced by a look of terror. His eyes widened as he stared intently at the eerie flames, as if trying to see right through them.

"What, what the hell is this?" Wang Ba's voice trembled slightly.

Some people stared wide-eyed in horror, some instinctively backed away, and some opened their mouths wide but couldn't utter a sound.

What... what's going on?

At that moment, a blurry figure flashed into view amidst the thunder.

The figure looked extremely eerie under the lightning.

Wang Ba and the others looked up at the sky without prior arrangement.

On the sea, ships, like toys on the waves, churn and roll.

Wang Ba finally managed to steady himself and strained to look up before he could lock onto the figure in the sky.

Suddenly, another flash of lightning appeared, and he vaguely saw that it was still a woman. A woman flying in the sky.

A thunderclap swept by, startling Wang Ba into a state of panic.

"Who are you!"

Wang Ba's loud voice could be heard even amidst the raging waves.

Gu Xi stepped on the spikes and arrived at the Human Resurrection Conference.

She stood on high ground, slightly raising her head, her chin pointing towards the largest and most luxurious ship, and casually asked with her spiritual power, "I heard you were looking for me?"

A commotion broke out among the crowd on the ship, and all eyes were drawn to the woman who had suddenly appeared.

Wang Ba was greatly alarmed, and he immediately shouted, "Who exactly are you?"

Gu Xi's lips curled slightly upwards, a hint of disdain in his eyes: "You're looking for me, asking who I am?" (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
