The sea was no longer calm; its original tranquility was broken, replaced by an unsettling restlessness.
Tiny bubbles surged out of the water, bubbling and gurgling like boiling water.
A member of the Revival Society stopped in his tracks, his gaze fixed on the churning water. A chill ran from his feet to the top of his head, making him shiver.
"Why did you stop?" another person urged, their voice filled with doubt.
The former raised his hand tremblingly, pointing his fingertips to the water's surface, his voice trembling almost imperceptibly: "Look..."
The latter looked in the direction he was pointing, his pupils suddenly contracted, and his face turned deathly pale.
The once calm sea surface is now filled with countless bubbles, so densely packed that it makes one's scalp tingle, as if something is about to burst out of the water.
The bubbles churned and burst, making eerie sounds, as if some creature was stirring underwater, sending chills down one's spine.
Fear spread rapidly among the Revivalists like a plague.
"Attention! Something's up!" someone suddenly shouted in terror, breaking the silence. The sound echoed across the empty sea, sounding particularly jarring.
As if waking from a dream, everyone gripped their weapons tightly, formed a circle back to back, and warily watched the surrounding sea.
A frantic heartbeat and rapid breathing enveloped their stiff bodies, and an invisible pressure weighed heavily on everyone's hearts.
Suddenly, a stark white skeleton leaped out of the water and landed on the deck with a thud.
A ghostly blue light flickered in its hollow eye sockets, and it exhaled stale air as it opened and closed its mouth. In its hand, it held a strange bone blade, which, illuminated by the lightning, exuded a chilling and sinister aura.
The members of the Revival Society stood frozen in place, motionless for a long time. A solidified fear gripped their throats and stuck to their bones.
Their trembling lips tried to utter the words "Deep Sea Bone Clan," but they were rendered speechless by extreme fear.
More bones emerged from the water, carrying a nauseating stench, and surged onto the deck like a tide.
Those skeletons seemed to possess some kind of strange power, with black liquid flowing from each bone.
Each bone seemed imbued with an evil will, pouncing intently towards the Revival Society members.
Their movements were perfectly synchronized, like a well-trained army, and every action exuded murderous intent.
These skeletons come in various shapes and sizes, including fish bones, human bones, and the skeletons of various unknown creatures. They are combined to form bizarre and terrifying monsters.
One stepped on another, one got tired of another, and layer upon layer, they actually formed a giant pyramid.
At the top of the bone pyramid, a massive skull slowly emerges, larger than the surrounding bones, its surface pitted and scarred by time. At the center of the skull, a sphere emits a faint glow.
As the light flickered, two will-o'-the-wisps suddenly lit up in the skull's eye sockets, like two ghostly lanterns, scanning the terrified crowd on the deck.
Its jawbone creaked and groaned, producing a chilling, grinding sound, like a whisper from hell.
"Insignificant scum..." The skull spoke with a surge of spiritual power, its voice hoarse and hollow, each syllable carrying the aura of death, "Your fear will become the source of my power!"
Before the words were even finished, the skull suddenly opened its gaping maw, the spirit orb shone brightly, and a black beam of light shot into the sky, piercing straight into the clouds. A gale arose, the waves surged, and lightning flashed through the clouds, creating a deafening roar.
