Chapter 358 The Merchant Arrives (1/2)

After finalizing the dates for the exhibition, Lu Manyi, having calmed down, took care of Xi and provided design drawings. Working day and night, they rushed to produce a batch of sample garments. These sample garments were well-tailored, retaining the characteristics of the deep-sea tribe while incorporating novel design elements, making them truly eye-catching.

After dinner, Gu Xi called a meeting with the fish and Lu Man. She sat at the table, her gaze sweeping over every face.

"With the exhibition and sales event just around the corner, we are pressed for time and need to divide the work and cooperate." Gu Xi's voice was clear and powerful, and his words were firm and resolute. "Yan Lin and Ai Si, you are responsible for security. If you do not wish to meet strangers, you can also provide support from behind the scenes."

Gu Xi looked at the two of them and said in a slightly gentler tone, "Octopus, Ariel, and Keima, you will assist me in handling all matters related to the exhibition and sales."

Sanyu nodded in agreement, his expression serious.

"As for receiving guests..."

Gu Xi turned her gaze to Luman.

Luman volunteered, "Sister Xi, let me handle this task. I'm human, so I can communicate with these merchants better."

Gu Xi nodded slightly.

"Very good, then let's each do our part and give it our all!"

After the meeting ended, the fish dispersed and went about their own business.

On the 126th day of the maritime calendar, a merchant ship slowly sailed into the sea area once ravaged by the White Bone Clan.

Merchant A stood at the bow of the ship, gazing into the distance, his heart filled with unease.

Although the place was now empty, a chilling atmosphere still seemed to linger in the air.

He gripped the amulet he had brought from Earth tightly, his palms glistening with sweat.

"I hope... everything will be alright."

Merchant A muttered to himself, his voice trembling slightly.

Suddenly, a huge ship came into view, like a moving island at sea, magnificent in appearance.

Merchant A stared wide-eyed, utterly shocked.

"This...this could be Sister Xi's 'Future'?"

His excitement at that moment was beyond words.

As the merchant ship approached the "Future," Luhmann stood at the bow, smiling, and waited quietly.

Upon seeing this, Merchant A's eyes lit up, and he quickly stepped forward to greet them warmly.

"Sister Xi! I've long admired your name! Meeting you today, I can confirm that your reputation is well-deserved!"

Luman was taken aback for a moment, then realized what he meant and smiled.

“You’ve misunderstood. I’m not Sister Xi, I’m Luman. Perhaps you’ve heard of me.”

Merchant A looked embarrassed and apologized repeatedly.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I was being presumptuous. I've heard of Luhmann, of course, but I didn't expect you to be Luhmann."

Luman nodded slightly and explained, "Sister Xi is busy communicating with the Deep Sea Clan. This is a trade fair, and I'm in charge of receiving the merchants."

Upon hearing this, Merchant A felt slightly disappointed, but he quickly composed himself.

“I see. Then I’ll have to trouble Miss Luhmann.”

After exchanging a few pleasantries, Merchant A couldn't help but ask a question.

“Miss Luhmann, aren’t you afraid to be here all alone? This place was, after all, once…”

He hesitated, his eyes revealing worry.

Luman was taken aback. She hadn't expected that a grown man would ask this as his first question. She then smiled and said, "Afraid? How could I be afraid? There's no safe place on the high seas."

No sooner had the words left his mouth than a huge bolt of lightning suddenly appeared in the sky above the previously turbulent sea. The lightning ripped across the sky, and the roar resounded throughout the entire sea area, as if it were about to devour the whole sea.

Merchant A turned pale with fright, and his body began to tremble uncontrollably.

"This, this..."

He was terrified and incoherent.

Seeing this, Luman gently patted his shoulder and comforted him, "It's been so many days of storms and thunder, how come you still haven't gotten used to it?"

Although her words seemed like a joke, compared to her attitude, Merchant A suddenly felt like a frightened chicken.
