Chapter 359 Merchants' Visit (1/2)

As time went on, more and more merchant ships arrived near the Future.

On the 127th day of the maritime calendar, all the merchants scheduled to arrive finally gathered together. Luhmann led this group of enthusiastic merchants on a tour of the Future, showing them the layout of the facilities.

“Please follow me, everyone. We’ll take a look around the stadium and ice rink area first,” Luman said, leading the way while reminding everyone, “Remember, whatever you do, don’t go near the main building, the laboratories, or the power bay. Those areas are easy targets for sea monsters.”

These words immediately caused a stir among the merchants.

"Sea monster attack? What the hell? Why would there be a sea monster attack?!" A short, stout merchant frowned. "We went through so much trouble to get here. On the Future, isn't Sister Xi going to protect us?!"

“Yeah, that’s outrageous!” another tall, thin man chimed in, his eyes gleaming with dissatisfaction.

Although these people used rather strong language, others didn't take it seriously.

"Sea monsters attack people who pry into other people's secrets. If you just stay out of trouble, you won't have to worry, right?"

"My goodness, she can raise so many sea creatures? Sister Xi is really amazing!"

As Luman listened to the cacophony of voices, his face darkened.

She stopped, turned to face the crowd, and warned them sternly, "I'll reiterate: you must respect the sea creatures. They are not exhibits, but legitimate crew members of the Future. The sea creatures on the Future are extremely powerful, so you'd better not get any funny ideas."

The merchants instantly fell silent.

Some people turned pale and kept swallowing; others just pursed their lips, looking completely unconcerned.

Luhmann's gaze swept over the crowd, and he sighed inwardly. These people really wouldn't shed a tear until they saw the coffin, and they wouldn't give up until they were completely defeated.

“Let’s go, let’s continue the tour.” Luhmann turned and led the way.

Luhmann led the merchants on a tour, when suddenly a rhythmic patting sound came from behind them.

When everyone turned around, they saw the familiar octopus, after all, everyone had drunk a cup of "scare tea" from the octopus.

At this moment, the octopus was following behind the group, with one of its tentacles slapping the ground from time to time, making a "slap slap" sound.

"Chirp chirp!" (I am the housekeeper octopus, don't be afraid!) The octopus chirped happily, but the merchants obviously couldn't understand its language.

They followed Luhmann with tense, shuffling steps, their nerves on edge.

They hadn't gone far when a beautiful figure appeared before them. It was a mermaid with an elegant figure and shimmering scales.

"Wow! How beautiful!" the merchants exclaimed. "And who is this...?"

Luhmann introduced, "This is Ariel, a full-fledged crew member of the Future."

Just as everyone was still captivated by Ariel's beauty, a strange, small creature suddenly emerged from the corner. It was covered in dusty gray, a stark contrast to Ariel.

"Uh... what is this thing again? It's so ugly," a merchant muttered under his breath.

"Chirp chirp!" (Who are you calling ugly!)

Upon hearing this, the octopus became displeased and slapped the ground even faster.

The merchants were startled by the sudden noise and immediately shut their mouths.

Luman shook her head helplessly. She wanted to remind these people to watch their words, but since this was a public occasion, she could only explain, "This is Keima, a full-fledged crew member."

Halfway through the tour, a businessman suddenly asked, "Hey, why haven't we seen Sister Xi yet? We've come all this way, and she hasn't even shown her face. Isn't that incredibly rude?"

“Exactly,” another merchant chimed in, “shouldn’t they at least come out and say hello?”

Several businessmen nearby also began to whisper and point.

Just then, a clear laugh came from behind them.

"Pfft."

Everyone turned around abruptly and saw a young and extremely capable woman standing there with a faint smile on her lips.

Are you talking about me?

The newcomer didn't need to say much; the merchants present immediately understood.
