Gu Xi chuckled, "Overcoming fear here is better than actually facing it on the ocean. In that case, it won't be ice anymore; it'll be playing with your life."
The man and the fish exchanged a knowing smile and walked away from the battlefield that was about to become a "nightmare." Tomorrow, those merchants would be about to experience something unforgettable.
Early the next morning.
Gu Xi stood on the deck, looking at the anxious merchants gathered there. Her gaze swept over each face, a faint smile playing on her lips.
"Gentlemen, I'm sure you're all confused by my summons so early," she said, her voice calm yet authoritative. "To help you better adapt to the upcoming arrival of the Deepsea Clan, we've prepared a special experience."
Luhmann, standing to the side, added, "This will be a rare opportunity for everyone to experience the atmosphere of the deep sea in advance."
The businessmen looked at each other, and one of them couldn't help but ask, "Sister Xi, what exactly is this 'u0027 experience'?"
Gu Xi didn't answer directly, but turned around and pointed to the foggy area behind her: "Come with me, you'll find out soon enough."
Although the merchants had their doubts, they followed Gu Xi out of trust. However, when they stepped into the area shrouded in an eerie mist, they all gasped in shock.
The scene before me was horrifying.
The ice sculptures of various eerie creatures stand tall, with details so fine that even their sharp teeth and scales are carved out.
"What...what kind of place is this?" a merchant exclaimed in terror, turning to run away.
However, the octopus had been waiting for a long time.
Its tentacles stretched out like lightning, pulling the merchants who wanted to escape back one by one and forcibly stuffing them into the battlefield.
"Chirp chirp!" (This looks like fun!) the octopus chirped smugly.
Ais sensed that the merchants had entered the battlefield and immediately used his mental power to seal off the entire area. He turned to Gu Xi and whispered, "Pururu, ready."
Gu Xi nodded, looking at the merchants trapped on the battlefield, his voice calm and firm: "Everyone, this is the world you are about to face. Adapt to it. Only by overcoming your fears can you survive in the true deep sea."
The merchants were terrified by the sudden turn of events. Some looked around in panic, some huddled on the ground trembling, and others tried to break through the invisible barrier, only to be bounced back.
"Let us out!" someone shouted.
“This is insane!” another person screamed.
"We're here to participate in the trade fair! Not to experience this!" "Gu Xi! You crazy woman!"
Just then, several ice skeletons suddenly came to life, their movements stiff yet strangely fluid. They slowly approached the merchants, exuding a chilling aura.
The screams of the merchants rose and fell, and some were so frightened that they collapsed to the ground.
Gu Xi watched coldly, thinking to herself: You can curse me, curse me all you want. It won't hurt me to say a few words. It's better than losing my life in the real ocean.
Ais stood to the side, her eyes sparkling with excitement, "Puru, they'll definitely adapt quickly."
In the simulated battlefield, fear and chaos are spreading.
The merchants were forced to confront their deepest fears, and this was merely the beginning of the deep-sea world they were about to face. (This chapter is now complete. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
