The fear and battle they had just experienced still lingered in their minds.
"Phew... So the deep-sea creatures aren't so scary after all." The bespectacled businessman wiped the sweat from his brow. "The key is that we have to get past our own mental hurdle first."
“Yes, the key is your own heart.” The young businessman patted his companion on the shoulder.
"After overcoming our fear, we all worked together and were able to deal with even such a large ice skeleton."
The octopus twirled happily in the air, "Chirp chirp! (You guys are awesome!)"
Unfortunately, the merchants still remembered how the octopus had thrown them into the simulated battlefield, and now they found it very displeasing.
However, the culprit behind this whole thing was that woman.
Someone quickly stepped forward, his face grim. "Gu Xi, what do you mean by this? Are you making fun of us?"
"Exactly! You almost scared the hell out of me!" The fat businessman's face turned red. "Who do you think you are? You think we can do whatever we want with you?"
Other businessmen echoed his sentiments, their angry gazes fixed on Gu Xi.
Their fear turned into anger; they felt their dignity had been insulted.
Gu Xi looked at them expressionlessly. "You think this is too much? Then the reality in the deep sea will only be more brutal. Today is just to let you get used to it in advance."
"This..." The merchants were speechless, but their dissatisfaction was still evident in their eyes.
Ai Si said to Gu Xi with some disappointment, "Pfft~ They still don't understand your good intentions."
"It doesn't matter if you don't understand." Gu Xi turned and left. "Those who survive to the end will naturally understand."
The businessmen watched Gu Xi's retreating figure with mixed feelings.
They knew Gu Xi was right, but being subjected to this kind of "special training" was really unpleasant.
The young businessman clenched his fist and whispered, "Just you wait and see, we will definitely become the best deep-sea merchants. I won't stop until we've secured business with ten or eight deep-sea tribes!"
The octopus hopped and skipped along behind, chirping, "Chirp chirp!"
This unusual "experience class" ended amidst complaints from the businesspeople.
Gu Xi returned to the main building and sighed deeply, "It's really not easy being a bad person!"
Just then, Luhmann walked over hurriedly, looking slightly nervous.
Gu Xi noticed her unusual behavior and raised an eyebrow, asking, "What's wrong?"
Lu Man pointed outside and said, "Sister Xi, Sun Yiming is here."
Upon hearing this name, Gu Xi's eyes sharpened instantly, and a complex expression flashed across her face, a mixture of anticipation and hidden worry.
She suddenly stood up. "Let's go!"
As Gu Xi walked, she frowned and said to Lu Man, "Sun Yiming didn't come yesterday, nor did he send a message. I thought he wasn't coming at all. I wonder if something happened to him that he suddenly appeared this time." (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
