Chapter 385 The First Line of Defense (2/2)

The intense light instantly dispelled the surrounding gloom, illuminating the sea as if it were daytime.

The light, like a sharp blade, pierced through the eerie fog, making the entire battlefield clear.

The next moment, countless beams of energy poured out, engulfing the entire sea area in a devastating barrage of firepower.

Each energy cannon shot was enough to annihilate an S-class target, and the dense firepower covered every inch of the sea surface outside the square ring.

The moment the skeletons surfaced, they were torn to shreds by the barrage of fire and blasted into tiny fragments.

With the first line of defense in place, the Bone Clan, despite their strong regenerative abilities, found it difficult to get close to the frozen, raging sharks.

Amidst the roar of artillery fire, Gu Xi stood on the rooftop, his eyes fixed on the distant sea.

The beam of the Fireball Cannon swept across the outer sea, tearing the surging Bone Clan to shreds.

However, her sharp eyes quickly caught something unusual.

“Something’s not right…” Gu Xi murmured softly, her brows furrowed slightly.

On the sea surface, the shattered remains of white bones began to writhe strangely and slowly gather together.

The broken bones seemed to be pulled by invisible threads, moving rapidly in the water and connecting with each other.

In the blink of an eye, enormous skeletons took shape on the sea surface, even larger and more ferocious than the previous skeletons.

Gu Xi's pupils contracted slightly, and her heartbeat quickened involuntarily.

Despite a slight unease rising within her, she remained calm and quickly adjusted the attack mode of the Fire Elemental Cannon.

Gu Xi waved his hands rapidly in the air, controlling the fire elemental cannon to concentrate its output in one direction.

The density and intensity of the artillery fire suddenly increased, and the sea surface was instantly filled with light, as if the sun had fallen into the sea.

However, despite being hit by artillery fire and having half of their bones shattered, those massive skeletons continued to advance slowly and steadily.

Gu Xi's brows furrowed more and more tightly.

As she watched the skeletons swaying in the gunfire, yet never falling, alarm bells rang in her mind.

She hadn't expected that the Bone Clan would find a way to break through a single line of defense so quickly.

She now has to come up with a new solution!

Gu Xi's mind raced, her eyes scanning the surrounding environment quickly, searching for a possible breakthrough.

Just then, a huge skeleton broke through the barrage of fire and charged toward Fang Huan.

Gu Xi's eyes narrowed, and he immediately mobilized 128 weapon spikes, aiming them straight at the skeleton.

Spikes pierced the skeleton, pinning it in place. However, the skeleton continued to writhe, attempting to reassemble itself.

Just as Gu Xi was locked in a stalemate with the giant skeleton, a blue-purple flame suddenly shot out from behind her.

Flame Scale opened its massive mouth and spewed out a jet of scorching flames, which struck the enormous skeleton directly.

The flames, like living creatures, coiled around the bones, instantly engulfing the entire skeleton.

The bluish-purple flames burned ever brighter, as if they were about to ignite the entire sea. The once indestructible skeleton gradually crumbled in the flames, turning into a pile of charred remains.

Seeing this, Gu Xi was overjoyed and shouted, "Flame Scale, you've come at the right time!"

Flamescale, tail held high, unleashed another burst of fire and water on the large skeleton beside it.

Gu Xi's eyes gradually regained their composure.

She cannot panic now; any wrong decision at this moment could lead to total defeat.

The actions of the Bone Clan were beyond her expectations; they were constantly evolving, so the defenses had to be upgraded.

Her gaze swept over the frozen, raging shark, then at the ever-approaching army of the Bone Clan, and another plan formed in her mind.

She quickly adjusted her strategy and ordered, "Don't stop the attack!"

Immediately, she called Yan Lin over and said, "It's time to set up the second line of defense." (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
