"Pfft?" Flame Scale tilted its head in confusion.
"Pluh?" Ais swam closer, clearly curious about the name.
The tentacles of the Netherworld Algae Beast curled slightly: "Why is it called that?"
"Because you're really amazing," Gu Xi explained with a sly smile. "Where we're from, 'cow' means something extremely powerful. Plus, there's seaweed on you, so we call you 'cow-cow grass.'"
"I see!" The tentacles of the Netherworld Algae Beast danced joyfully. "I like this name!"
"Pfft~" Yan Lin was confused and just nodded blankly, "It really suits you."
The smarter Ais immediately understood. He wanted to laugh, but he held it in.
The newly named cowgrass happily rolled around on the deck, its body covered in seaweed that formed a ball.
Gu Xi shook his head helplessly. Well, now there's another crew member with a distinct personality.
Watching her departing figure, the Abyssal Algae Beast nodded in satisfaction, "As expected of a deep-sea creature that even the Ice Shield Fish regards with respect."
"Plop..." Ais walked away silently, remaining wary of her new "roommate".
Although the other party is an SSS-class sea monster, its origin is unknown and its behavior is so strange. Although there is no indication of malice so far, it is still best to be careful and not let it disrupt the peace on the ship.
Flamescale followed behind Ais, muttering to itself, "Should I give it less fish food?"
"Pfft~" Ais shook her head, indicating that there was no need to be so stingy. Anyway, it's good to have another helper on the ship, especially since he's an SSS-rank.
After the Youyuan Zaogu beast settled on the ship, the whole ship became lively.
It always pestered Aisi with questions, from the Ice Shield Fish's living habits to the techniques of using mental power, as if it wanted to drain Aisi dry.
"Hey, Ais," the Abyssal Algae Beast poked Ais, who was lost in thought, with a curious glint in its eyes, and asked expectantly, "Tell me, why is your freezing ability so strong? None of the Ice Shield Fish I've ever seen are as powerful as you."
Ais turned around, deliberately turning her face away, closing her eyes tightly, and pretending not to hear.
The Abyssal Algae Beast wasn't about to give up easily. It moved even closer, almost touching Ais's ear, and said loudly, "Stop pretending, I know you're awake."
"Pfft! Aren't you annoying?!" Flame Scale couldn't help but interject, "Ais already said she doesn't want to talk about it."
The Netherworld Algae Beast pouted, "I was just curious."
As it spoke, its tentacles quietly reached towards Ais's hair.
"Bang!" A streak of blue-purple flame flew past the tentacle.
"Ouch!" The Netherworld Algae Beast retracted its tentacles. "You little firefish, you've got quite a temper."
"Pfft!" Flame Scale puffed out his chest. "I'm warning you, don't even think about hitting on Ais."
The Netherworld Algae Beast narrowed its eyes. "What, you want to fight me?"
Seeing the two sea beasts about to clash, Gu Xi spoke up in time to stop them: "That's enough, both of you behave yourselves."
Suddenly, the sky cleared up, the dark clouds that had been as black as ink quickly dispersed, and the sunlight shone unobstructed on the sea, making it sparkle.
The raging storm gradually subsided, and the waves, no longer surging, gently lapped against the ship's side.
This change immediately stopped the two fish that were about to fight, and they both looked up at the sky.
Gu Xi stood at the bow of the ship, feeling the sea breeze gradually soften from a howling gale, her hair fluttering in the wind.
She took a deep breath of the sea-smelling air and said thoughtfully, "The storm is weakening; it seems the disaster is almost over."
Sure enough, after a few hours, the violent weather gradually returned to normal.
No more lightning strikes the sea. The once turbulent sea is now as calm as a giant mirror, reflecting the blue sky and white clouds.
The fierce winds subsided, leaving only a gentle sea breeze.
At that moment, the sound of the game also rang in Gu Xi's ears.
[The disaster has ended; the total number of survivors in the affected area is 56,939,213.] This chapter has been completed. (Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
