Although Gu Xi's words were a bit irritating, she was telling the truth.
Catching the fruit is much easier than picking it.
However, the monkey, which couldn't understand human speech, suddenly became agitated. It dropped the solidified fruit in its hand, jumped left and right, and after a few leaps, it climbed down the tree and ran into the depths of the forest.
Seeing that the monkey stopped provoking him and turned to run away, Gu Xi hesitated for two seconds before chasing after it.
Monkeys can be aggressive, but who knows, they might lead her to something even better?
Gu Xi followed the path the monkeys had taken, leaping between the trees.
When she was standing on the water-condensing tree, she thought it was deep in the forest, but now that she was in it, she realized that it was just a patch of grass.
Along the way, there were all sorts of strange and unusual flowers and plants, none of which she had ever seen before.
The monkey was in front, and Gu Xi followed closely behind.
After chasing for some distance, they vaguely heard a rumbling sound.
She stopped and searched for the source of the sound.
As they approached the source of the sound, the booming noise grew louder and louder.
After walking a few dozen meters further, a silver waterfall cascaded down from a low cliff with a thunderous roar.
Although the cliff is not high, only a dozen meters high, the waterfall has such a large volume of water that it crashes into the pool on the ground with tremendous force.
Even standing by the waterfall, Gu Xi could feel its coolness.
A moment later, she approached the pool, which was not very deep, with a solid boulder at its bottom.
The sudden waterfall and the strange monkeys made Gu Xi think twice.
Who knows if this monkey just popped out of some rock, found a cave, and made its nest there?
To test his hypothesis, Gu Xi threw an iron spike toward the center of the waterfall.
The iron spikes plunged into the waterfall without making a sound of colliding with the mountain or falling down.
Her first guess had come true; there might really be a hidden cave or something inside. So she decided to rush behind the waterfall to take a look.
The waterfall has a large volume of water and is very powerful; she needs to be extra careful if she wants to get to the back.
Shedding her excess clothes, Gu Xi waded into the water. Finding a crevice where the current was weaker, she slowly made her way forward, using an iron spike as a support.
When she reached the waterfall's cascading point, the rushing water lashed against Gu Xi, causing her pain.
Fortunately, her defensive and resistant capabilities have improved considerably, otherwise she might have been swept away by the waterfall.
A large amount of water splashed onto Gu Xi, causing her to close her eyes tightly.
Slowly passing through the waterfall, the thunderous sound of the water recedes into the distance; just a hair's breadth away, all the water is left behind.
Gu Xi wiped the moisture from her face with her hand. The moment she opened her eyes, she was stunned by what she saw. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
