During lulls in the battle, Yan Lin's gaze would always unconsciously drift toward Gu Xi's figure as she calmly moved through the enemy ranks.
Its fish eyes were filled with indescribable awe and almost fanatical worship.
However, Gu Xi did not feel the slightest bit of relaxation or joy despite the overwhelming victory on the bottom battlefield.
Her mental power, like the most sophisticated radar, still covered the entire vast battlefield, clearly reflecting every subtle energy fluctuation and every change in the emotions of every living being in her mind.
She could clearly sense that the Deepsea forces responsible for feinting attacks on the Crimson Gaze, located on the island's outskirts, were emanating an extremely abnormal and violent aura.
Those deep-sea creatures that relentlessly attacked the Scarlet Gaze had eyes that had turned a terrifying blood red.
Their roars were no longer simple battle cries, but were filled with primal rage, bloodlust, and destructive desires, devoid of any reason.
They completely abandoned defense, attacking the island's energy shield with a frequency and intensity several times higher than at the start of the battle.
Some of the relatively weaker deep-sea creatures, unable to withstand the enormous reaction force of such a reckless and violent impact, were instantly shattered to pieces.
However, their deaths did not seem to cause their companions to back down or feel any fear. Instead, it seemed to add fuel to the fire, arousing their deeper rage and violence.
“This emotion…is wrong, very wrong.” Gu Xi frowned slightly. This pure, amplified negative emotion made her feel uneasy.
Meanwhile, several miles away, at the temporary command center of the Deep Sea Clan alliance, the jellyfish and blacktip reef sharks were extremely agitated, as they were receiving intermittent feedback from the chaotic situation at the front.
"The bottom attack force... has all lost contact?" Blackfin Shark's voice was filled with disbelief and a slight tremor.
It abruptly stopped moving and stared intently at the communication conch shell.
"How is that possible! That was our most elite main force, led by three powerful SS-level experts and dozens of S-level predators! How could they be completely wiped out in such a short time, without even a decent message coming back?!"
"The feint attack force is so unstable! They're like a pack of mad dogs!" The jellyfish's tentacles tightened further, and its voice became shrill. "They're completely out of control. Their attacks are utterly chaotic; they just charge and crash recklessly! This isn't a battle; it's suicide!"
"Could it be that damned red light that's causing this?" The Blackfin Shark's massive head turned towards the direction of the Crimson Gaze. Even from a great distance, it could sense the energy fluctuations that were luring it there.
"I originally thought it was just some kind of powerful alarm device, designed to attract our attention and distract our forces! I never expected... I never expected it to have such a eroding and impactful effect on individuals with weak willpower!"
"It's not just about attracting attention!" The jellyfish's voice carried a hint of barely perceptible fear. "It's igniting! It's igniting the most primal, savage, and bloodthirsty desires deep within the hearts of those lower deep-sea creatures!"
"This emotion...this emotion is contagious! Like a plague! If we let them run rampant like this, they will completely turn into madmen who only know how to kill and destroy, and they won't even distinguish between friend and foe!"
The appearance of the Crimson Gaze was something the Illusion Jellyfish hadn't anticipated; now that it had witnessed it, how could it not be devastated? (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
