Chapter 88 Collecting Shark Pearls, Octopus Attack (3/3)

As expected of a master author, the plot design is superb. It's just a bit too short; she's really looking forward to a longer serialization!

After reflecting on it, Gu Xi sent Li Ruoyang a message.

Gu Xi: That's really well written!

Li Ruoyang replied very quickly.

Li Ruoyang: Sister Xi, what about the investment?

Gu Xi: No problem, just give me the investment list. We'll split it 40/60, I'll take 40%. I won't be involved in any of your operations, but you'll be responsible for all platform matters. I'll only look at the final accounts.

Gu Xi's offer was much better than what he had expected regarding June 4th. So he agreed immediately.

Gu Xi: If there's no problem, I'll go to sleep now.

After replying, Gu Xi pulled the covers up again, closed her eyes, and began to meditate.

On the other end, Li Ruoyang was so excited he almost shouted out loud.

That's great, he didn't expect things to go so smoothly.

Indeed, life needs some spice, and entertainment is a good way to do that.

Li Ruoyang chuckled, pondering what kind of investment he should secure for himself.

However, just as Li Ruoyang was getting excited, the sharks attacked again.

He sighed. Even with investment from a big shot, the dangers would still be there. He decided to deal with the shark first.

**

Gu Xi was training her mental strength with her eyes closed. She originally planned to fall asleep like this, but unexpectedly, another accident happened.

Suddenly, the entire ship began to shake violently, as if it were about to be torn apart. Outside, a bright red light shone.

She had never experienced such intense shaking before.

It's important to know that modern ships have a wave resistance rating of 278. Unless there are large waves, the ship won't rock at all.

The intense shaking now indicates that she has encountered a formidable enemy.

Gu Xi quickly sat up and began walking downstairs while releasing his mental energy. In an instant, his mental energy locked onto a colossal object near the ship.

This is a giant octopus, as big as a mountain. Its main body alone is over ten meters long, and its waving tentacles are probably over 30 meters long.

At this moment, the octopus's tentacles lashed out at the ship, and the sharks, already in defensive mode, all gathered around it.

Mental constraints

Just as the octopus was about to hit the ship, Gu Xi used his mental restraint to stop the octopus's tentacles in mid-air.

Then, the sharks grabbed the octopus's other tentacles and dragged it away. It took all the sharks working together to barely pull the octopus's dangling tentacles out of the boat's reach.

Seeing this, Gu Xi breathed a sigh of relief.

Even if the ship doesn't break when that octopus's tentacle hits, it will still be enough for her to repair later.

But she let her guard down too soon; in just a few dozen seconds, the octopus broke free of its mental restraints.

It waved its tentacles, smashing the sharks so hard they flipped over.

Gu Xi was greatly surprised. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
