Chapter 3: Salvaging the Wooden Crate and Making a Hammer (3/3)

[To be made]

After the production was confirmed, a hammer appeared on the raft after 3 seconds.

Gu Xi picked up the hammer and weighed it in her hand. It wasn't heavy, and both men and women could use it.

She opened her backpack and checked the supplies.

The original fibers were all used up, leaving an empty space.

The quantity of all other items, except for fish food, has become 1.

She closed her backpack and picked up her fishing rod again.

Now that she has a hammer, she's lost interest in even catching fish; all she wants to do is quickly expand the raft.

If the expansion fails today, she'll have to sleep standing up tonight.

She didn't want to sleep standing up, after all, this skill was not easy to master.

[Game Hint: To expand the raft by 1*1 meters, you need 10 wood and 2 iron nails]

With only one piece of wood and zero nails, Gu Xi silently gripped her fishing rod, for reality demanded that she succeed and not fail...

If she's not lucky enough to find any planks in the boxes, she'll have to salvage five boxes to get ten pieces of wood.

At the current pace, it takes about 40 minutes to retrieve one box, which means it would take 200 minutes. Even without any mishaps, it would take nearly 4 hours.

Moreover, she still hasn't seen a trace of the other material used for expanding the raft, iron nails.

Gu Xi glanced at the time; it was almost 11 o'clock.

If she takes a short break at noon, she can't achieve her small goal until around 3 pm.

Gu Xi looked at the sun overhead and decided that she should think less and work more for now.

More than an hour later, Gu Xi successfully retrieved the two boxes.

The contents of the package include 1 x 550ml mineral water, 3 x fiber, 2 x iron nails, and 1 x 500g toast.

This time we harvested 2 iron nails and dismantled 4 pieces of wood, bringing us one small step closer to our goal. Congratulations!

"Coo coo"

By noon, Gu Xi's stomach was growling with hunger, having only eaten one apple.

Before this, she thought she was the type who didn't get hungry easily, but who would have thought that was because she usually lay down too much and didn't expend much energy.

She did manual labor all morning and was incredibly enthusiastic about it without anyone calling her to eat.

Besides, she had no idea when she arrived at the survival game. Judging from her hunger, the patrol must have been yesterday, and she didn't know if the people in Zhushi Lane had noticed.

Gu Xi shook her head, clearing her mind of all the random thoughts. The most important thing now was to survive.

She took out a bottle of water and a steamed bun. Gu Xi broke the steamed bun into small pieces, swallowed it with difficulty, taking a bite of the bun and half a mouthful of water.

Honestly, these steamed buns aren't bad. They're soft and fluffy, and they'd definitely be bestsellers in any steamed bun shop in Zhushi Lane.

But a steamed bun is still just a steamed bun; it has no taste! Gu Xi felt that if she ate like this for a few more meals, she would collapse from exhaustion and die.

Although she was very hungry, she only ate most of the steamed bun. With food in short supply, she couldn't waste the rest, so she put it back into her backpack.

After a short rest, she prepared to begin the afternoon's salvage work when suddenly, a familiar crackling sound rang out.

Gu Xi sneered and picked up the fish food. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
