She doesn't even need to look to know that her affinity with the intelligent race and her friends in the fish-raising system have definitely increased significantly.
"You seem to be having a lot of fun counting your money!"
Hearing the sound, Gu Xi looked up and saw Luo Lin smiling at her.
"Hey! Long time no see. You're here! Why are you so late?"
Lorraine replied helplessly, "It's not that I'm late, it's that you were surrounded by those deep-sea creatures."
Gu Xi touched her nose sheepishly, then introduced Lorraine to Ai Si and the little chubby boys.
The little chubby balls had a high affinity for humans, so they greeted them cheerfully.
Ais, however, was not used to interacting with other creatures and simply nodded.
Lorraine responded to them amicably, and then, speaking in astral language to Gu Xi, he said, "That Ais just took up a spot..."
“It’s a sea monster,” Gu Xi added.
"Alright, sea monster, why did you decide to bring a sea monster along?"
Gu Xi said mysteriously, "It's not taking up a spot, it's a bodyguard, a bodyguard!"
Lorraine exclaimed in surprise, "He's so amazing!"
"He's incredibly capable. As long as he's around, we'll be able to escape unscathed!"
Seeing that Gu Xi was unwilling to say more, Lorraine wisely gave up.
Just then, three representatives of the fish-man race rushed over aggressively.
The leader of the fishmen had dark green scales and held a sharp fishbone spear in his hand.
Their eyes, like those of a poisoner, were fixed intently on Gu Xi and his group, as well as the fish.
Gu Xi was confused and couldn't figure out what they were up to. Given the already plummeting goodwill towards humans and fishmen, Gu Xi immediately summoned spikes.
128 sharp spikes hung horizontally in the air, and although they weren't pointed at them, their presence made the fishmen stop in their tracks.
The merman leader roared, "I recognize it! It's a sea beast! The sea beast that made a bet with one of our tribe's fish!"
The fishman pointed his bone spear at Ais, but Ais didn't even blink and froze the bone spear instantly.
And so, the bone spear was reduced to dust before all the deep-sea creatures.
The surrounding deep-sea creatures, seeing the conflict unfolding, began to whisper amongst themselves.
"Something's happened over there!"
“It must be a hostile group. I said the Deep Sea Clan meeting was unacceptable, but the Sea Ghost said it was very important. I thought about how several skeletons had appeared in our clan, so I came anyway.”
"That must be a deep-sea human, right? The fish food she sells is really delicious."
"I think the deep-sea human race is quite friendly. It's just that the fish-men offend fish everywhere. So what if a new race appears in the ocean from time to time? Isn't that normal?"
"Arrogant, truly arrogant. Is it because the meeting was held on the giant sea turtle that they are so arrogant?"
"What? The deep-sea giant turtles are just too lazy to bother with them. With their strength, they're nothing but trash in the ocean."
...
The surrounding audience enjoyed the lively scene, but their comments implied that they didn't think highly of the fishman, which made the fishman very unhappy.
It pretended to have its brain plugged, unable to understand what those deep-sea creatures were saying.
Now it wisely talks without taking any actual action.
"What? Your deep-sea human race is so trashy that you can't even find a decent mental power user? You have to rely on sea beasts to fill the positions!"
"How could you allow a sea monster to enter this place? This is a desecration of our fish-men race and the entire Deep Sea Clan Council!"
Its eyes were fixed menacingly on Gu Xi and Ai Si, but its ears were listening outwards, hoping to gain the support of other deep-sea creatures.
Gu Xi noticed the subtle details in its movements.
