The already turbulent sea churned up even more massive waves at night, with flashes of lightning occasionally piercing the sky, bringing a brief glimmer of light. Each flash was followed by a deafening clap of thunder, as if to tear one's eardrums apart.
At the dinner table, Luman kept her head down, mechanically poking at her food with her fork, barely touching it. Her mind was preoccupied with what Gu Xi had said.
"Luman, you should go back and rest. Don't worry about the ships; we'll take care of that together tomorrow."
Gu Xi spoke, her voice calm, but Lu Man could tell that she no longer had the doubts she had just had.
Luhmann breathed a sigh of relief and hurriedly got up to leave.
Shortly after Luhmann left, Ais entered the restaurant.
"Pululu? Is there anything else?" Aisi leaned closer, her eyes full of doubt.
“I anticipate a surprise attack by the Human Revival Society tonight. Be prepared,” Gu Xi said seriously.
"Plulu?!" Ais was somewhat surprised.
“If they had ulterior motives, they would definitely have remained inactive during the day. However, since they came here following Luhmann, they must be looking to gain something.
