Chapter 349 I Heard You Were Looking for Me (1/2)

"Ais, now is not the time to play around."

Gu Xi quickly stopped her, "We don't know what this 'Human Revival Society' is all about, or what they want to do. Taking action rashly might alert them and be disadvantageous to us. Come back first, and we'll discuss this further."

"Pulu~ Okay~" Ais was just saying it on a whim; he didn't really intend to give the Human Revival Society a frozen gift package.

Following Gu Xi's command, Ai Si quickly swam back.

Shortly after Ais left, a figure quietly emerged from the bottom of a ship.

It consisted of only a skull, but the bones glowed with an eerie black light, and a Tal Spirit Orb was embedded within its skeleton. Its eye sockets gleamed with a scarlet light as it stared intently at the Human Restoration Society's fleet.

If Gu Xi or Ai Si were here, they would recognize it at a glance as the escaped Deep Sea Bone Clan member.

This deep-sea skeleton originally lurked here, intending to take advantage of the fact that more people would gather during the human revival event, and then launch a surprise attack when they were off guard.

However, it just felt a powerful mental energy fluctuation suddenly sweep across it, causing its head to tremble and making it hold the Tar Spirit Orb in its mind even tighter.

"This...this is...S-rank mental power?!" The Bone Clan member was utterly shocked. It quickly concealed its aura, hiding itself even more deeply. It recognized this mental power; it belonged to the human named Gu Xi! How could she be here?

Before it could recover from the shock, another, even more terrifying aura approached—an extreme cold that seemed capable of freezing even the soul.

The member of the Bone Clan trembled with fear, having no doubt that if it made the slightest move, it would be completely swallowed up by the cold.

"Damn it! How could this happen?!" The member of the Bone Clan was filled with frustration. It had thought this was a sure thing, but it never expected to encounter such a terrifying enemy.

Now, it's a dilemma.

Give up this spot? It was really unwilling; the ships of these deep-sea humans were too tempting for it.

But if it stayed here, it worried about its safety.

It stared at the fleet before it with a conflicted expression, the red light in its eyes flickering uncertainly.

Ultimately, it decided to wait and see.

"Hmph, I don't believe you can stay here forever!" it gritted its teeth inwardly.

After muttering harsh words to himself, the skull disappeared into the water.

The wind howled, like a giant beast breaking free of its shackles, raging across the sea.

The already turbulent sea churned up even more massive waves at night, with flashes of lightning occasionally piercing the sky, bringing a brief glimmer of light. Each flash was followed by a deafening clap of thunder, as if to tear one's eardrums apart.

At the dinner table, Luman kept her head down, mechanically poking at her food with her fork, barely touching it. Her mind was preoccupied with what Gu Xi had said.

"Luman, you should go back and rest. Don't worry about the ships; we'll take care of that together tomorrow."

Gu Xi spoke, her voice calm, but Lu Man could tell that she no longer had the doubts she had just had.

Luhmann breathed a sigh of relief and hurriedly got up to leave.

Shortly after Luhmann left, Ais entered the restaurant.

"Pululu? Is there anything else?" Aisi leaned closer, her eyes full of doubt.

“I anticipate a surprise attack by the Human Revival Society tonight. Be prepared,” Gu Xi said seriously.

"Plulu?!" Ais was somewhat surprised.

“If they had ulterior motives, they would definitely have remained inactive during the day. However, since they came here following Luhmann, they must be looking to gain something. In addition, given their superior numbers, they probably want a quick victory. A night raid would be most advantageous for them.”
