Chapter 72 Accidentally Entering the Misty Sea (2/2)

Gu Xi sighed again, marveling at how useful the Fire Essence was; she would definitely collect more if she encountered it in the future.

As long as she has Ember Crystals, she's not afraid of fire. Besides, the whole house is built with Ember Crystals, so it won't burn even if there's a fire.

Gu Xi placed the frying pan on the stove, poured a layer of oil on the bottom of the pan, and after the charcoal fire heated it, the oil temperature rose, and the oil that was originally at room temperature began to sizzle.

Judging that the temperature was right, Gu Xi poured the beaten eggs into the frying pan.

The egg sizzles the moment it hits the hot oil, releasing its aroma.

Gradually, the egg liquid turned into fluffy egg bubbles, and the pale yellow egg bubbles gradually turned caramel color. She likes to eat eggs that are a little caramelized.

It's about time to add the tomatoes.

Naturally ripened tomatoes, after being diced and placed in a bowl to sit, will release a lot of tomato juice.

Before it even hits the pot, the aroma of tomatoes already blends with the fragrance of wild eggs.

Gu Xi put the tomatoes and ginger into the pan and stir-fried them together. The two aromas blended even more wonderfully under the influence of the temperature.

The aroma filled the air and drifted to the other end of the boat.

"Giggle..."

As Gu Xi stirred the food, the sizzling sounds grew louder and louder.

Add some chopped scallions to the pan, stir-fry for a few seconds, add salt and a little pepper, and a plate of red and yellow tomato and egg stir-fry is ready.

"Giggle..."

The pheasant let out a long cry; it was unclear whether it was expressing its desire to eat or making a final lament for the wild eggs that had perished.

Regardless of which one it was, Gu Xi felt that it would only make her more hungry.

She ate a bowl of soft, sticky rice, a bite of tomato and egg, and then another bite of rice, thoroughly enjoying it.

The sauce from the tomato and egg stir-fry is a perfect match with rice.

After eating and drinking to her heart's content, Gu Xi tidied up and then returned to her room to continue training her mental strength.

Now, this is something she does every night before bed. She treats it as a lullaby, just like how she studies math and English to sleep well at night.

Time flew by, and Gu Xi slept soundly through the night.

On the 23rd of the maritime calendar, the noise outside had subsided considerably. Gu Xi guessed that the sharks that had been chasing them had given up.

She stretched, got out of bed, walked to the window, opened it, and breathed in the fresh air.

However, all that came into view was a vast expanse of white.

"What's going on?!"

Gu Xi was completely bewildered. If it weren't for the seawater nearby, she would have thought she had arrived in a completely new place.

She rushed to the third-floor awning, trying to look into the distance, but the white fog completely blocked her view.

However, with only the sea in sight and no reference points, she found it difficult to estimate just how thick the white fog was.

From a distant view to a closer look, she looked at her own planting room.

The fact that the planting room is still clearly visible indicates that the fog is not very strong.

Gu Xi relaxed, and then she opened the fish-keeping panel to check on the fish.

After one night, some sharks perished, but not many; there are now 152 sharks remaining.

Gu Xi looked around the boat and felt much more at ease after finding traces of sharks.

Immediately afterwards, she went upstairs to collect the shark-shaped boxes, only to find that there were very few. She had only managed to bring back a little over 50 boxes all night.

Considering that the sharks were pulling the boat forward at high speed yesterday, it's not surprising that they weren't pushing the box.

Having found a good reason for the sharks to come up with, she was inadvertently drawn to the white mist again.

This is probably just ordinary sea fog.

Gu Xi thought this to herself, yet, for some reason, a vague sense of unease crept into her heart. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
