Chapter 61 The Cave
Luo Qing and the others immediately stopped, held their breath, and listened intently.
As the singing grew closer, they saw a huge cave ahead, its entrance covered by vines and moss, appearing ancient and mysterious.
Deep inside the cave, the melodious singing still echoed, as if a beautiful fairy was singing in the cave.
A glint of excitement flashed in Fang Tai's eyes, and she whispered to her companions, "It seems we've found that mysterious cave!"
Luo Qing frowned slightly; she had a feeling things weren't that simple. She looked around and noticed a faint mist in the air, giving it an air of mystery.
"Everyone be careful," Luo Qing warned. "This cave looks a bit strange; we need to be vigilant."
Muki also said, "I always felt that it wasn't that easy to find."
Mu Qimeng nodded in agreement, gripping his bow and arrows tightly, ready to respond to any unexpected situation. Qi Ru and Fang Tai followed closely behind, and the five of them slowly walked towards the cave.
They ventured deeper into the cave, and the light grew dimmer. Suddenly, a cold wind blew through, dispersing the mist within.
To their surprise, they discovered some strange patterns carved on the walls of the cave.
The patterns looked ancient, their colors faded and blurred. Luo Qing leaned closer for a closer look and discovered that the patterns seemed to depict a mysterious ritual.
A thought suddenly struck her: could these patterns be related to the Flowing Light Harp? Could it be that they had actually found a real cave?
They carefully made their way through the cave, the stone steps beneath their feet slippery and steep.
A peculiar fragrance permeated the surrounding air, both refreshing and mysterious, captivating the senses.
Suddenly, four forks appeared ahead, each pitch black, as if leading to different worlds.
Luo Qing stopped, her brows furrowed. She looked around, trying to find clues, but the cave was silent, with only their soft breathing echoing in the background.
"Which way should we take?" Fang Tai asked in a low voice, her voice tinged with nervousness.
Qi Ru and Mu Qimeng also came over. They looked at each other and fell into deep thought for a moment.
“Luo Qing, you’re the luckiest, you choose.” Mu Qimeng turned her gaze to Luo Qing, her eyes sparkling with trust and expectation.
He knew that Luo Qing had an extremely high luck factor, and perhaps at this crucial moment, she could lead them to the right direction.
Luo Qing took a deep breath, feeling the heavy responsibility on her shoulders.
She closed her eyes, trying to feel the atmosphere and energy within the cave. Her heartbeat gradually slowed, and everything around her seemed to disappear, leaving only her and the mysterious cave.
When she opened her eyes again, her gaze held a newfound determination. Pointing to one of the dark forks in the road, her voice was crisp and resolute: "We'll go this way."
Upon hearing this, everyone's spirits immediately lifted.
They followed closely behind Luo Qing, stepping onto that unknown path.
The cave was pitch black, as if it had swallowed up all the light.
They took out their night vision goggles and put them on; instantly, the world before their eyes became clear.
Inside the cave, beams of dim light shone through cracks in the stone walls, like stars twinkling in the darkness.
Luo Qing led the way, carefully making her way along the narrow passage. Though her steps were slow, each one was firm and powerful.
They ventured deep into the cave, and before they knew it, quite some time had passed. Suddenly, Luo Qing stopped, her expression turning serious.
She looked up and saw four forks in front of her, exactly the same as before, each one as black as ink, as if leading to an endless abyss.
"What...what's going on?" Fang Tai exclaimed in surprise, her voice echoing loudly in the empty cave.
Mu Qimeng frowned. He looked around, trying to find some clues, but apart from the four dark forks in the road, there was nothing else around.
Qi Ru gripped her weapon tightly, a wary glint in her eyes.
"Are we back again?"
Luo Qing and Mu Qimeng looked around carefully and shook their heads. "No, we've reached a new fork in the road."
“Look here, there’s an oval stone, which wasn’t there before.”
So Luo Qing once again chose a path based on her intuition and led her teammates in.
Next, they kept encountering crossroads with four branches, each one like a dark vortex, swallowing all the light.
Each time, Luo Qing would close her eyes tightly, feel with her heart, and then firmly choose a path.
They lost count of how much time had passed and how many intersections they had crossed.
With each step they took, their hearts sank a little deeper, as if the endless darkness was about to wear down their will.
Luo Qing gritted her teeth and led her teammates forward.
Finally, this time, when she opened her eyes, she pointed to the leftmost path, which seemed to be the most secluded.
She sensed a strange fluctuation along the road, as if something was drawing them in.
Following behind Luo Qing, the group cautiously stepped onto this unknown path. The surrounding air seemed to grow heavier, as if an invisible force was pressing down on them.
Suddenly, a cold wind blew from ahead, carrying an indescribable chill. They unconsciously quickened their pace, wanting to escape the darkness as quickly as possible.
The five huddled together, their breathing unusually clear in the darkness. They quickened their pace, eager to escape the suffocating darkness as quickly as possible.
Just then, a faint light suddenly appeared in the darkness ahead.
The light flickered, as if it might go out at any moment. But they could still clearly see that it was a stone door, with intricate patterns carved on it.
They approached the stone gate cautiously, and Luo Qing reached out and gently touched the patterns on the gate.
She sensed a subtle energy fluctuation emanating from the stone gate, as if the patterns held some kind of secret.
Luo Qing took a deep breath, feeling her heart racing, as if she were resonating with the energy fluctuations on the stone gate.
She closed her eyes, placed her palm on the stone door, and tried to use her heart to perceive the secret hidden behind the patterns.
Suddenly, the patterns on the stone gate began to glow, and the light grew brighter and brighter until it illuminated the entire stone gate.
Luo Qing felt a powerful force coming from the stone door, and her body seemed to be drawn by this force, involuntarily leaning forward.
Just then, the stone door slowly opened, revealing a dark passage.
A mysterious atmosphere permeated the passage, inspiring awe in those who couldn't help but feel in awe.
Luo Qing took a deep breath and led her teammates into this unknown passage.
