Chapter 11 Island Adventure 4
The next second, the mysterious array beneath the four people's feet suddenly lit up with a dazzling light.
Immediately afterwards, four beams of light of different colors shot toward the bird's nest in the tree canopy.
The beam of light gently enveloped the four enormous bird eggs, slowly lifting them up before gently descending in front of the four people.
Luo Qing reached out and gently hugged the bird egg that had landed in front of her. She felt a warm power coming from the egg, as if it were communicating with her in some mysterious way.
At the same time, the other three also each held a bird egg, their eyes becoming unusually serious and solemn.
Bathed in light, the figures of the four people and the bird eggs complemented each other, creating a harmonious and mysterious scene.
After the light faded, the group quickly hugged their bird eggs to prevent them from breaking.
[Ding—Congratulations to players Luo Qing, Mo Ming, Mu Qimeng, and Fang Tai for signing a pet contract with the Blue Spirit Bird Egg.]
Watching the player's cautious movements, the Blue Spirit Bird finally closed its eyes in peace.
Its form gradually dissipated, turning into a gentle blue light, which then split into four and merged into the foreheads of the four people.
[Ding—Players Luo Qing, Mo Ming, Mu Qimeng, and Fang Tai have received the blessing of the Blue Spirit Bird and gained the Blue Spirit Song skill.]
[Blue Spirit's Song - Restores 1% of the user's health each time, with a 30-minute cooldown. Can be upgraded.]
The four of them were surprised by the unexpected joy.
Fang Tai kissed his bird egg and suggested, "It's really my little darling, let's name it together."
Luo Qing gently stroked her bird egg. "How about we name it 'Peace and Joy'? Mine is called 'Luo Ping'."
“Okay, then my name will be Fang An,” Fang Tai was the first to respond. “Brother Mo, your name will be Mo Xi.”
Mo Ming smiled, glanced at him, and nodded.
Mu Qimeng also smiled and said, "Then mine will be Mu Le, which sounds pretty good."
After putting the bird eggs back into his pet space, Mo Ming climbed up the big tree again. "I just saw something else in the nest."
"I want to go too." Fang Tai climbed up as well. "Sister Luo, do you want to come with me? I'll pull you up."
Luo Qing shook her head. Going up is easy, but coming down is hard. She decided to give up.
"Wow, there really is something inside." The two put the huge bird's nest into their backpacks and slid down the tree.
"Quick, let's see what it is!" Fang Tai couldn't wait any longer.
Mo Ming did as instructed, taking a few steps back and releasing the bird's nest.
In the afterglow of the setting sun, a huge bird's nest made of golden branches lay quietly before them.
Level 3 Blue Blood Tree is the favorite food of Blue Spirit Bird chicks.
Luo Qing took a deep breath and gently reached inside, as if exploring an unknown treasure. His hand touched a hard and smooth object, which emitted a faint golden glow in the setting sun.
She carefully took the object out and discovered that it was a strangely shaped metal piece.
The metal sheet is engraved with intricate patterns, as if it contains some ancient power.
Fang Tai and Mu Qimeng also gathered around, their eyes filled with surprise and curiosity.
The metal sheet was passed from hand to hand, and everyone felt its faint warmth. They seemed to hear the whispers of history and feel the passage of time.
What secrets does this metal piece hold?
"Sister Luo, here, take this." The three of them finally decided to hand over the mysterious metal piece to Luo Qing.
After dividing up the bird's nest as food for their own pets, they took another step forward.
"We only have 3 hours left, let's speed things up!"
Facing the midday sun, the four quickened their pace.
The four walked through a dense forest, and suddenly the ground beneath their feet became hard and smooth. They stopped and bent down to examine it closely.
Under the sunlight, the rocks on the ground show a special texture and seem to reflect light.
Luo Qing reached out and gently touched the rock, feeling a cool and steady force coming from her fingertips.
Mo Ming squatted down and used his long knife to scrape away the surface dirt and moss, revealing a piece of ore that shimmered with a metallic luster.
Fluorite can be used to make medicine and weapons.
The group excitedly dug away the soil beside them.
Under the sunlight, the ground looked as if it had been sprinkled with a shimmering galaxy.
The glow of fluorite was everywhere.
"This is a mineral vein!" Luo Qing exclaimed.
"What incredible luck! It's just too good!" Fang Tai exclaimed.
Mu Qimeng glanced at Luo Qing subtly, feeling that all of this must be related to her.
Luo Qing took out the hoe she had used to dig up the tree, which was still covered with bits of soil from the previous tree.
Luo Qing took a deep breath and raised her hoe high. She aimed at a particularly shiny piece of ore and swung the hoe down forcefully.
However, unexpectedly, the shovel did not dig into the ore as easily as expected. Instead, it seemed to hit a hard iron plate, making a dull echo.
Luo Qing felt a tremendous force of recoil travel along the hoe to her arm, making her entire hand numb.
She stared in surprise at the hoe in her hand. The tip of the hoe had dented where it had touched the fluorite, and sparks had even sputtered out, as if warning her that the ore was harder than she had imagined.
"No wonder it's a ore used to make weapons, it's really hard." Luo Qing smiled helplessly and shook his arm, which had been numb from the shock.
"What are we going to do? We can't just sit here and watch. We found the mine but can't dig it up. I'll be so angry I'll wake up in my sleep!" Fang Tai plopped down on the ground, looked up and asked, poking the ground with the bird's nest he had just broken off.
"Wait, Fang Tai, it seems you've poked it in." Luo Qing looked down and noticed something was wrong.
The ore in Fang Tai's hands was as fragile as tofu under that small twig. It was riddled with small holes and shattered beyond recognition.
"I've always heard that there's an antidote within a hundred miles. Does this count as an antidote?" Mu Qimeng joked.
"Of course it counts, why wouldn't it?" the others replied with a laugh.
“Since this branch makes mining so easy, how about we just use it to make a shovel?” Luo Qing suggested.
"The method is fine, but I don't know how to make it up," Fang Tai said, rubbing his head.
“I don’t know either,” Mo Ming added. The two looked up at Luo Qing.
"Don't look at me, I don't know either."
"Let me do it, I know a little bit," Mu Qimeng offered.
Mu Qimeng squatted on the ground, took out a branch, and her fingers deftly moved between the branches, as if performing a silent dance. Every pull and entanglement seemed so smooth and natural.
His eyes were focused and bright, as if the whole world had frozen in that moment.
Before long, a practical shovel was born in his hands.
Its shape is irregular, but it reveals a primitive and wild beauty.
Mu Qimeng gently patted the shovel and smiled with satisfaction. Then, he stood up and handed the shovel to Luo Qing, "Try it and see how it goes."
"It's so well-made, there's definitely no problem." Luo Qing casually scooped up a piece of blue fluorescent ore, just like scooping tofu with a spoon.
