Chapter 45 Misty Forest

Chapter 45 Misty Forest

"Luo Qing, you come first," Mu Qimeng said, and the others followed suit.

Luo Qing nodded gently. She walked to the transparent bubble, took a deep breath, and then reached out to touch it.

The bubble trembled slightly when Luo Qing touched it, then slowly burst, turning into a soft light that enveloped the five people.

After the light faded, a weapon appeared in front of everyone.

Before Luo Qing was a dagger that gleamed with a cold light. A sapphire was inlaid in the hilt of the dagger, shimmering with a mysterious light.

Mo Ming then received a long sword, its blade slender and exuding a sharp aura, as if it could cut through any obstacle.

Fang Tai received a pair of iron gauntlets, covered with sharp spikes, making them a force to be reckoned with.

Qi Ru received a slender whip, its blade gleaming with a silver light, looking both agile and dangerous.

Mu Qimeng, on the other hand, received a bow with an elegant curve and a faint scent of wood, clearly a finely crafted bow.

The five men looked at each other, all stunned by the sudden appearance of the weapon.

Luo Qing was the first to come to her senses. She carefully examined the dagger in her hand, trying to feel its connection to her.

The dagger seemed to have a life of its own, trembling gently in her hand, as if it were cheering that it had found a new master.

Mo Ming also picked up his longsword. With a light swing, the blade made a crisp sound, and the sword energy surged, making it impossible for anyone to look directly at him.

Fang Tai put on his iron fist gloves, the spikes on his fists gleaming in the sunlight, making it clear at a glance that he was not someone to be trifled with.

Qi Ru brandished her whip, the blade tracing silver lines in the air, as agile as a serpent.

Mu Qimeng, on the other hand, drew the bowstring taut, the bow bending into a perfect arc, as if ready to unleash a deadly arrow at any moment.

Luo Qing held the dagger, feeling a strange connection between herself and the dagger, as if they were one.

She tried swinging it, the dagger flashing through the air and bringing with it a gust of cold wind. Luo Qing nodded in satisfaction.

The five men formed a circle, showing off their weapons to each other.

Their faces were filled with excitement and anticipation, as if these weapons were their guarantee of survival in the other world.

Seeing everyone's excited expressions, Luo Qing's heart was also filled with anticipation.

She knew that these weapons were not just equipment they had acquired, but also symbols of their unity and friendship.

It was already past midnight, and the five of them sat around the campfire, enjoying a rare moment of peace. The firelight reflected on their faces, making them appear exceptionally warm and serene.

"It's getting late, we should rest. We have a match tomorrow," Luo Qing said softly, her voice sounding especially gentle in the night.

Everyone nodded and found a comfortable spot to lie down.

"I'll take the night watch," Mo Ming offered.

Luo Qing felt that although he appeared taciturn, he actually had a very kind heart.

"No, you and Fang Tai have already kept watch overnight, I'll do it today," Luo Qing said.

“Then I’ll do the first half of the night,” Mu Qimeng chimed in.

"You guys are moving too fast. It seems I can only do it tomorrow," Qi Ru said helplessly.

Mo Ming smiled and nodded without refusing.

Bathed in the light of the campfire, their faces appeared serene and happy, as if they had forgotten the dangers and excitement of the day.

The campfire crackled and flickered. Luo Qing lay in bed, her heart filled with anticipation for the future.

All three of them fell into a deep sleep, their breathing rising and falling, creating an exceptionally peaceful atmosphere.

Luo Qing gently closed her eyes, feeling the tranquility of the night and the warmth of the campfire.

After an unknown amount of time, a gentle breeze blew by, stirring the campfire and ruffling Luo Qing's hair.

She slightly opened her eyes and saw the firelight dancing on Mu Qimeng's face, illuminating his resolute features.

In this unfamiliar world, having these companions by her side made her feel incredibly safe and happy.

She smiled gently, her heart filled with warmth and gratitude. "Go to sleep, it's my turn."

She stood up gently, stretched her stiff limbs, then walked to the campfire, took the wooden stick from Mu Qimeng's hand, and began her night watch.

In the darkness of night, all was quiet except for the crackling of the campfire, which seemed to tell of the adventures and excitement of the day.

Luo Qing stared at the flames, her heart filled with vigilance. She knew that in this world full of unknowns, any negligence could have fatal consequences.

She looked around to make sure there was nothing unusual happening.

The next day, Qi Ru was the first to wake up. She gently rubbed her eyes and then sat up. She stretched and enjoyed the freshness and tranquility of the morning.

Mu Qimeng and Mo Ming also woke up one after another. When they saw that Luo Qing was already up, they both smiled.

Fang Tai was still fast asleep, emitting soft snores.

Mo Ming leaned forward slightly, placed his hands gently on Fang Tai's shoulders, and gently rocked him.

"Atai, Atai, wake up." His voice was deep and gentle, like the rustling of leaves in the morning breeze.

Fang Tai's brows furrowed slightly, as if he were wavering between a dream and reality.

Then, he slowly opened his eyes, revealing a look of confusion.

Seeing Mo Ming's face so close to his, Fang Tai's eyes gradually cleared. He rubbed his eyes and then sat up.

"What's wrong? Is it dawn yet?" Fang Tai's voice still carried a hint of sleepiness. He looked around and saw that everyone else had already woken up, so he scratched his head a little embarrassedly.

Luo Qing and the others, who had already finished getting ready, were having breakfast when they saw him wake up. They teased him, "Fang Tai, you're such a lazy pig. The sun's already high in the sky before you get up."

Fang Tai scratched his head and chuckled, "I was just too tired last night. You all got up so early without even waking me up."

Luo Qing waved her chopsticks and laughed, "Alright, alright, I know you've worked hard. Come and have breakfast. We still have a competition to continue today."

Upon hearing this, Fang Tai immediately perked up, quickly walked to the dining table, and his eyes lit up when he saw the sumptuous breakfast on the table, his appetite was whetted.

He ate his food in large mouthfuls and mumbled, "We must win this competition and show the other teams our strength!"

It was only 6:30, and the sky was just beginning to lighten with the first hint of dawn, when the system's voice suddenly rang in the ears of the five people, saying in a cheeky tone...

I'm sure everyone had a great time yesterday. Today is the second match, and the location is—the Misty Forest!

Players, please leave and head to the Misty Forest to receive your quests.

Upon hearing this, the five people immediately perked up. The Misty Forest—the very name sounded mysterious and unknown.

Luo Qing was curious, wondering what surprises and challenges this competition would bring.

A beam of white light appeared in front of Luo Qing, who took it and it transformed into a map.

They quickly finished breakfast, packed their gear, and set off for the Misty Forest.

The moment they stepped into the forest, the world around them seemed to be instantly shrouded in thick fog, and visibility dropped to less than five meters.
