Chapter 9 Island Adventure 2

Chapter 9 Island Adventure 2

Luo Qing stood under the ancient oak tree, his gaze fixed on something on the tree.

It was a huge beehive, almost half his height, hanging on a tree branch several meters above the ground, exquisitely crafted like a work of art.

The surface of the honeycomb is covered with countless tiny hexagonal holes, each hole being a source of life, nurturing a life yet to be born.

Luo Qing held his breath and concentrated. He could hear a faint buzzing sound coming from inside the hive, the sound of thousands of bees working hard.

This oak tree was enormous, and its root system was naturally very extensive. Even if Lu Qing dug for eight hours straight, he still wouldn't be able to dig it out.

So how do you move such a large beehive from the tree into your own space?

Luo Qing's eyes lit up; he had an idea.

After upgrading the raft, she had 16 pieces of cloth left.

Luo Qing used a quarter of a piece of fabric to combine five pieces of fabric into a huge curtain.

She gently spread out the cloth and slowly approached the hive. Once she was sure she was close enough to the hive without disturbing the bees, she quickly covered the hive with the cloth.

The feel of the fabric made her heart race; she could feel the vibrations of thousands of bees below.

She gripped the four corners of the fabric tightly, then took a deep breath and used all her strength to lift the fabric and the honeycomb together, quickly throwing them into the space.

Luo Qing separated the flower field and beehive area in the space with a barrier to prevent bee stings when entering the space in the future.

As soon as the cloth was removed from the hive, the bees swarmed out, trying to find out why the hive had just shaken.

Luo Qing glanced at the time and realized it was almost time to meet her teammates. She quickened her pace and retraced her steps.

Sure enough, the other three had already arrived. Each of them had a smile on their face, clearly indicating that they had all had a very good haul.

"Let's go," Luo Qing said, leading the other three into the dense forest.

The dense forest was obviously much more dangerous than the outside world.

Luo Qing took out a knife and held it in her hand, then cautiously walked into the dense forest.

The other three also took out their self-defense weapons.

"I'll lead the way." Mo Ming took the initiative to walk to the front of the group, while Fang Tai stayed at the back.

The two of them positioned themselves at the head and tail of the body, protecting Luo Qing in the middle.

She didn't refuse their kindness, as her fighting skills were indeed a bit lacking.

The four walked several hundred meters forward, and the surrounding trees became increasingly dense and tall. Their roots intertwined, forming protrusions on the ground.

Suddenly, a rustling sound broke the silence, and they immediately stopped alertly, their eyes searching around.

Luo Qing's heart raced. She gripped the knife tightly, ready to deal with any potential danger at any moment.

The sound grew closer and closer, and Luo Qing finally saw the source of the sound—a huge wild boar covered in hard scales was rushing out of the bushes.

Its eyes were fierce, its fangs were bared, and foul-smelling saliva dripped continuously from the corners of its mouth. It was clearly disturbed by their arrival.

Mo Ming reacted quickly, immediately stepping in front of Luo Qing, gripping his iron bar tightly, ready to confront the wild boar. Fang Tai, meanwhile, circled around from behind to the side of the wild boar, looking for an opportunity to attack.

The wild boar roared and charged at Mo Ming. Mo Ming quickly swung his iron bar and engaged the boar in fierce combat.

The iron rod struck the wild boar's scales, producing a crisp metallic clang. The scales were as hard as iron armor.

Fortunately, Mo Ming was incredibly strong, and each strike made the wild boar roar in pain. Fang Tai and Mu Qimeng also joined the attack from the side, relieving his pressure.

However, the wild boar's hide was thick, and although the group's attacks caused it pain, they couldn't inflict fatal damage. After several minutes, its health bar had only dropped by less than 100 points.

Luo Qing took a deep breath, staring intently at the wild boar, searching for its weakness. She knew that this wild boar's scales were extremely hard, and ordinary attacks would hardly harm it; she had to find its opening.

She noticed that the wild boar's eyes and mouth were its only weaknesses.

"Attack its eyes and mouth!" Luo Qing shouted. She took a deep breath, gathered all her strength, and hurled the kitchen knife in her hand at the wild boar's eyes.

Unfortunately, the wild boar turned its head and dodged it.

Taking advantage of the wild boar turning its head, Mo Ming stabbed the boar in the eye with a stick.

Upon seeing this, Luo Qing, Fang Tai, and Mu Qimeng immediately seized the opportunity and launched a frenzied attack on the wild boar's mouth and other eye.

The wild boar writhed in agony, trying to fling the stick out of its eye, but its hard, iron-like scales became a hindrance, making its movements incredibly clumsy.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Fang Tai smashed the wild boar's head with his stick again. The powerful force made the wild boar's head shake violently, and a look of confusion appeared in its eyes.

Luo Qing seized the opportunity and, together with Mu Qimeng, stabbed an iron rod into the wild boar's head.

This blow pierced right through the wild boar's head.

The bloodied wild boar collapsed to the ground, barely clinging to life. It looked as if it was about to breathe its last.

At that moment, Mo Ming shouted, "Quick, hide!"

Before they could ask why, the group quickly hid behind a towering tree.

Just as they managed to hide, the wild boar spat out a golden bubble containing immense energy, which slammed towards them with a loud bang.

In an instant, a powerful shockwave and blinding light swept over them, and the group quickly dropped to the ground.

The explosion was deafening, and Luo Qing felt her heart leap into her chest as if it were about to jump out.

She clung tightly to the ground, gripping the soil around her with both hands to prevent herself from being swept away.

At the epicenter of the explosion, a blinding golden light shot into the sky, illuminating the entire dense forest. Luo Qing couldn't help but squint, peering through her fingers at the radiant center.

Dust and debris swirled in the air, like a scene from a magical world. The blasted fragments traced streaks across the sky like shooting stars.

Gradually, the light and dust dissipated, revealing the aftermath of the explosion. Luo Qing cautiously raised her head and saw that where they had stood was now just a huge crater. Around the crater, trees were snapped by the shockwave and lay scattered on the ground.

She brushed the debris and dust off her clothes and got up from the ground.

She glanced at the group of people around her, all with messy hair and looking equally disheveled, and chuckled, "Is everyone alright?"

Upon hearing Luo Qing's question, the three shook their heads to indicate that they were unharmed. Mo Ming patted the dust off his clothes and gave a wry smile, "This wild boar's last-ditch counterattack was really fierce."

Mu Qiming stared wide-eyed at Mo Ming, "Mo Ming, how did you know that wild boar would spit out golden bubbles?"

Mo Ming blinked and scratched his head. "Actually, this is the first time I've encountered this kind of wild boar. But I've encountered monsters of the same level in the game before, and they have a powerful attack before they die. So, I guessed that this wild boar might have a similar skill, and I was right."

Upon hearing this, Mu Qimeng's eyes flashed with admiration. "Mo Ming, you are truly amazing. We can't match your keen insight."

Luo Qing nodded, "Yes, thanks to you, otherwise we would definitely have gotten hurt."

Mo Ming said apologetically, "I was just lucky and guessed right, it's nothing. Let's go check on the wild boar."
