Chapter 674 The Event Begins! Lone Wolf Chen Ping?

The countdown above the passageway was like a urging drumbeat, making hearts race with every passing second, and filling the air with tension and anticipation.

As the countdown reached its final minute, everyone's nerves were on edge. They knew that once they stepped into the event venue, they had to be constantly vigilant, for unknown challenges and dangers lurked there. A single oversight could mean being among the first to be eliminated, leaving behind only regret.

Chen Ping stood in the crowd, seemingly detached from the hustle and bustle, maintaining an extraordinary calmness.

He stared at the countdown that was rapidly approaching the finish line, his eyes gleaming with a deep light, as if he had already projected his thoughts onto the battlefield that was about to unfold.

Soon, time returned to zero, and the already dim passage instantly turned pitch black, so dark that you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. This made Chen Ping want to complain. During the teleportation process, it was either extreme black or white, making it impossible for anyone's eyes to see anything clearly.

The dark night comes quickly and goes quickly; in less than a second, the whole world is bright again.

Chen Ping immediately looked around and discovered that he was actually on a floating island? Moreover, everyone from the previous passage was here; Chen Ping had thought they would be scattered.

Just then, staff from the Death Arena appeared in the air and began to introduce the event venue.

The event venue was meticulously designed as a vast and complex maze called "The Enchanted Realm." It was more than just a physical space; it was a marvel that blended divine magic with technological marvels.

The maze consists of countless floating islands connected by invisible bridges. Some bridges only become visible under specific conditions, while others require solving puzzles to pass through.

The island is filled with ever-changing environments, including dense primeval forests, desolate deserts, deep glacial canyons, and turbulent volcanic areas, each harboring unknown creatures and traps.

What's even more unique is that the maze features a "time distortion zone," where the flow of time will fluctuate wildly, presenting participants with an unprecedented challenge.

Furthermore, hidden in the center of the maze is a core area known as the "Heart of Truth," where key clues and powerful equipment that could change the course of the game are concealed, but it is also the most dangerous place, guarded by powerful and ancient creatures.

Finally, the staff announced: "That concludes the basic information about the event venue. We welcome all challengers to trigger more content within the venue! Alright! The event is now open!"

As soon as the staff member finished speaking, the entire floating island trembled violently as if responding to a call. Then, the island began to disintegrate, turning into countless fragments of rock that rushed toward the surrounding floating islands.

Chen Ping's senses were exceptionally sharp. He noticed the island's initial tremors and sensed an energy fluctuation from the level of a creator god. It was a gentle yet irresistible force that ensured everyone's safety, firmly securing them to the soon-to-be-separated rubble.

He remained calm and made no unnecessary movements, knowing this was part of the event. Sure enough, as the floating islands shattered, the people, assigned to different rocks, landed safely around their respective islands. This process was both spectacular and orderly, marking the official start of the event.

The rubble landed smoothly, and Chen Ping steadied himself. Looking around, he discovered that each floating island carried different participants; some had already begun exploring, while others were organizing their thoughts and preparing for the challenges to come.

In the sky, the once complete afterimage of the floating island gradually dissipated, replaced by a series of scattered yet interconnected scenes, foreshadowing an upcoming battle of wits and survival centered around the rule of "wrongful killing".

......

Seeing this, Chen Ping also began to act. He looked up at the nearest floating island, then at the scattered fragments floating in the air, and jumped over directly.

After leaping a few times among the rubble, I landed steadily on the floating island. Looking at the dense forest surrounding me, this must be the primeval forest in the activity area.

Looking at the forest ahead, Chen Ping stroked his chin and chuckled, "Hey, I wonder what my hidden identity is? I'm a little curious."

After glancing once more at the dense forest ahead, Chen Ping began to walk forward.

Nothing happened as we walked into the forest, which is normal; they can't give us a high-difficulty challenge right from the start, can they?

After walking for a few minutes in the forest, Chen Ping suddenly saw a huge cave entrance. Judging from the dark scene inside, it must be quite deep.

Upon arriving at the cave entrance, Chen Ping looked around and found no trace of the cave entrance. Clearly, it was an ordinary cave, just perhaps a little bit deeper.

Chen Ping stroked his chin, intending to go in and take a look. After all, a cave with no homework would just appear out of nowhere, right?

Chen Ping stood at the edge of the cave entrance, scanned the surroundings to make sure there was nothing amiss, and then stepped into the cave. The cave was dimly lit, with only a faint glimmer of light from the outside world allowing for barely any vision. The stone path beneath his feet was rugged and uneven, requiring him to proceed with extreme caution with every step.

The air was filled with a damp, earthy smell, accompanied by the faint sound of dripping water in the distance, adding to the mystery of this deep cave.

As they went deeper, the cave gradually widened, and the light became increasingly dim. Chen Ping took out a small lighting artifact he carried with him, and a soft light illuminated the path ahead, revealing the strange sights inside the cave.

On the cave walls, naturally formed stalactites and stalagmites are arranged in a well-organized manner, with various shapes. Some look like swords hanging upside down, while others resemble ancient tree roots, creating a beautiful scene of nature's artistry.

Just as Chen Ping was immersed in admiring this natural wonder, his gaze was suddenly drawn to a faint light deep within the cave. The light was not dazzling, but it stood out remarkably in the dim cave.

A thought struck Chen Ping, and he quickened his pace toward the source of the light. As the distance decreased, the light gradually became clearer, and what finally appeared before him was a small natural pool. In the center of the pool, a clear spring was slowly flowing, radiating a warm and gentle light—the very "Fountain of Resurrection" that everyone had been dreaming of.

Chen Ping was somewhat surprised; this was undoubtedly an unexpected delight. Ancient runes were carved on the stone walls surrounding the spring, seemingly proclaiming its sacredness and extraordinary nature. He slowly approached, reaching out to touch the warm water, a sense of indescribable peace and strength welling up within him.

A system notification sounded.
