Chen Ping, Lucifer, and their companions stood on a scorched earth on the border of Hell, gazing at the distant horizon.
That place, once a glorious battlefield of paradise, has now become a symbol of terror and the unknown—a gigantic black hole, as black as ink, is slowly rotating, greedily devouring all the light and matter around it.
At the edge of the black hole, light is distorted into bizarre arcs, as if the laws of nature have lost their binding force here.
But none of these things shocked them. What shocked them was...
They were countless tentacles extending from the depths of that black hole, like creatures with their own consciousness, twisting and dancing, attempting to break through the boundaries of that endless abyss.
These tentacles are enormous, their surfaces covered with strange patterns that shimmer with a faint light, each one enough to instill in the viewer an indescribable fear and unease.
As they were still in shock, a whisper that seemed to come from another world quietly crept into everyone's ears.
The sound was beyond words and did not belong to any known language, yet it could directly touch the depths of the soul, bringing an indescribable sense of oppression and panic.
The whispers seemed to carry some ancient and evil will, attempting to invade their minds, probe, tempt, and even control them.
Chen Ping and the others frowned. The influence of this whisper was even stronger than that of the Lord of Heaven after he became nameless! Clearly, the owner of this giant tentacle was even more powerful than the Lord of Heaven after he became nameless!
The whispers, like an invisible wave, instantly engulfed everything that was watching the black hole and the tentacles.
Because of their earlier battle with the indescribable form of the Lord of Heaven, Chen Ping and Gabriel had developed some resistance to this type of mental attack. Although they felt uncomfortable, they were still able to maintain their senses and support each other, building a defensive line with their firm will.
As for Lucifer and Angelica, needless to say, they had already experienced the whispers in the abyss, not to mention the indescribable whispers of the Lord of Heaven that they had just experienced.
In contrast, the demons of Hell were not so lucky.
Many of the demons who had not undergone such a spiritual test quickly collapsed under the onslaught of the whispers. They writhed in agony, their skin glowing with an eerie light, and their bodies gradually mutated.
They transformed into monsters similar to the previously unnamed Lord of Heaven. These newly born unnamed monsters began attacking indiscriminately on the battlefield, further escalating the already chaotic situation.
Upon seeing this, Lucifer immediately took action. He spread his black wings and transformed into a streak of shadow lightning, traversing the battlefield. Each strike was precise and deadly, eliminating the demons controlled and mutated by the whispers one by one.
His cold and efficient actions seemed to declare to all demons: the order of hell cannot be broken.
"Everyone, retreat to hell! That's an order!" Lucifer's voice echoed across the battlefield, a mixture of authority and unquestionable authority.
Although the demons were terrified, they turned around and scrambled to escape this dangerous place at the command of the Lord of Hell, fearing that they would become the next victims to be devoured by the whispers.
Under Lucifer's cover, Chen Ping, Gabriel, and Angelica quickly organized themselves, assisting Lucifer in clearing out the infected demons while providing shelter for those demons who had not yet completely lost their minds, guiding them to a safe retreat.
As time went on, the influence of the whispers seemed to reach its limit, and the black hole began to shrink, as if some force was pulling it back into the unknown abyss.
Those tentacles that struggled to break through were ultimately forced to retract as the black hole closed, disappearing unwillingly from sight.
As the black hole disappeared, the terrifying whispers also diminished until they vanished completely, as if nothing had ever happened.
But everyone who remained on the field, whether it was Chen Ping and his group or the surviving demons, knew the shock and lessons this encounter had taught them.
......
As the clamor of battle subsided, Chen Ping, Lucifer, Angelica, Gabriel, and Seraphim gathered around a relatively intact rock a short distance away. Their breathing was slightly rapid, but their eyes were filled with determination and contemplation.
Chen Ping broke the silence first, his brows furrowed and his voice low: "Those tentacles and that black hole... they don't seem to have appeared by chance. Angelica, what's your opinion?"
Angelica gripped the Chain of the Abyss tightly, her expression grave: "I think the problem might originate from the Abyss. The people of the Abyss have all heard legends about 'unfathomable beings,' the oldest secrets of the Abyss, possessing power beyond our comprehension."
Those tentacles and that whisper made me suspect that we might have touched the edge of something indescribable.
Lucifer's black wings gently patted the ground, his eyes deep, as if recalling the events in the abyss: "I agree with Angelica's opinion."
In the deepest part of the abyss, there exists a power, ancient and mighty, a terror that makes all things tremble and shatters reason.
Today's ordeal could very well be an attempt by those ancient beings to escape the abyss.
Gabriel sighed softly, her holy light shimmering between her fingers, bringing a sense of peace: "This shows that the enemy we are facing is far more powerful than we imagined."
Chen Ping lowered his head and pondered for a moment, then looked up into the distance, as if searching for traces of the vanished black hole: "At the moment the black hole disappeared, I seemed to see... a huge eye, which seemed to be observing us."
Chen Ping's words caused everyone to pause slightly and begin to ponder.
After a moment of silence, Chen Ping spoke up: "Never mind, at least our current crisis has been resolved. If the existence in that black hole is indeed what I guessed, coming from the abyss below."
Then it's not just our problem, but a problem that all the top powers in the entire core sea area need to face together.
Chen Ping's words surprised everyone again, but upon reflection, they seemed to make sense. At least from the situation just now, there was no fear of any crisis in the short term.
Indeed, just as Chen Ping said, if the unspeakable thing beneath the abyss were to break through and emerge, then the entire core sea area would have to be mobilized.
Seeing the thoughtful expressions on everyone's faces, Chen Ping smiled and said, "Alright, the matter can be said to be perfectly resolved so far. Let's go back to the Heart of the Divine Island and rest."
After this big battle, everyone has suffered some injuries, more or less. Let's go home and recover!
After saying that, Chen Ping headed towards Hell. After all, they needed to return to the Heart of the Divine Island, and passing through Hell was not an option, especially since there were seals here.
