Chapter 844 The Scepter of Eternal Light!

After saying goodbye to Lu Shu and Linafeier, Chen Ping returned to the second floor of the villa and went into his and Gabriel's room.

Gabriel was organizing books when she heard the noise. She looked up at Chen Ping, her eyes filled with tenderness.

"Are we setting off again?" Gabriel seemed to have expected it, but there was no blame in her eyes, only understanding and reluctance.

Chen Ping walked up to Gabriel, gently hugged her, kissed her forehead, and said tenderly, "Yes, this mission is a bit special, but I will be back as soon as possible. Take good care of yourself and the Heart of the Divine Island."

Gabriel smiled and nodded. She knew that every time Chen Ping left, he became stronger, in order to protect this land and their shared home.

She hugged Chen Ping tightly, and the warmth of that moment seemed to give him endless strength.

Afterwards, Chen Ping changed into more practical gear, checked the essentials in his backpack again, and turned to Tuantuan, saying, "Alright, we can set off now."

The system sprites twinkled with light and responded cheerfully, "Alright, Master Chen Ping, are you ready? We are about to travel through time and space to the world where the 'Scepter of Eternal Light' resides!"

Chen Ping took a deep breath and nodded.

In his eyes, this challenge was not just about gaining points, but also about protecting everything he cherished.

As a dazzling light enveloped him, Chen Ping's figure gradually blurred and eventually disappeared from the room, leaving only a trail leading to an unknown world.

Gabrielle watched Chen Ping disappear and couldn't help but sigh. These days, Chen Ping would often do tasks in the chat group, so she had gotten used to it.

If it weren't for the unknown threats lurking beneath the abyss, Gabriel would actually prefer to live a carefree and leisurely life with Chen Ping in the heart of the divine island.

......

During this time travel, Chen Ping witnessed the entire process of traveling to other worlds, watching one world bubble after another outside.

Chen Ping asked with some curiosity, "Tuantuan, are these all World Bubbles?"

System Sprite, Tuantuan: "Yeah, it's World Bubble, what's wrong?"

Upon hearing this, Chen Ping asked in confusion, "That's strange. The worlds here are so close together, how come the survival game world is so slow at absorbing other worlds?"

System Spirit, Tuantuan: "Oh, you mean this, Master Chen Ping? Don't be fooled by the fact that these world bubbles look very similar; they're actually quite far apart. After all, there are world walls separating worlds, and the Boundary Sea also isolates the world bubbles."

Chen Ping nodded in sudden realization. He understood that these seemingly within-reach world bubbles were actually separated by complex cosmic structures and laws. He couldn't help but become even more curious about this vast multiverse.

"I see. No wonder the phenomenon of world devouring is not common. Each world is like a carefully protected microcosm."

Chen Ping expressed his gratitude for Tuantuan's explanation.

It spun around triumphantly, its light flashing, seemingly pleased that it had answered Chen Ping's question.

"Yes, Master Chen Ping, the mysteries of the universe are endless. Each world bubble has its own unique laws and life, which is why protecting them from disaster is so important."

As the conversation continued, the scenery around them began to change dramatically; the outline of the world bubble blurred and was eventually replaced by a dazzling light.

Chen Ping felt as if his body was being pulled by a gentle force, transcending the boundaries of time and space.

"We are about to arrive in the world where the 'Scepter of Eternal Light' is located. Please prepare yourselves, Master Chen Ping." Tuan Tuan's voice rang out in the light, reminding Chen Ping of the new environment he was about to face.

As the light faded, Chen Ping found himself standing in a vast, boundless desert, with sunlight shining down and making the sand grains appear golden and dazzling.

In the distance, a magnificent pyramid stands in the center of the desert, emitting a faint light, as if guiding their way forward.

"It seems this is our destination."

Chen Ping squinted at the road ahead, his heart filled with both nervousness and anticipation. He knew that every exploration was accompanied by unknown risks, but he was willing to face any challenge in order to protect his home and loved ones.

Chen Ping strode towards the mysterious pyramid, silently wishing for a successful mission and to soon carry the "Scepter of Eternal Light".

As Chen Ping approached the pyramid, the golden light shone even more brightly in the sunlight, reflecting a dazzling brilliance.

He reached out and touched the cool, golden surface, feeling a strange energy fluctuation.

The entrance to the pyramid was inconspicuous, hidden on a smooth, golden wall; he would have almost missed it if Tuantuan hadn't pointed it out.

"Master Chen Ping, the entrance is here." Tuan Tuan transformed into a beam of light, pointing to a fine pattern where the outline of a door was faintly visible.

Following Tuan Tuan's instructions, Chen Ping gently pushed the wall, and with a low mechanical hum, the golden door slowly opened, revealing the passage leading inside.

The passageway was dimly lit, but the air was filled with an ancient and sacred atmosphere, which made people unconsciously slow their pace and feel awe.

“Go in, Master Chen Ping. The Scepter of Eternal Light should be deep inside the pyramid.”

Tuantuan floated beside Chen Ping, the pink dumpling emitting a faint light, illuminating his path forward.

Chen Ping nodded and then stepped inside the pyramid.

The passageway is carved with intricate hieroglyphs and patterns, which seem to record the history and myths of an ancient civilization.

As he ventured deeper, the light intensified, revealing a spacious hall. In the center of the hall stood a radiant altar, upon which rested their target—the Scepter of Eternal Light.

The scepter is crystal clear and emits a gentle yet powerful light, like the sun in daylight, but without being dazzling or uncomfortable.

It floats silently in mid-air, surrounded by subtle halos of light, as if maintaining some kind of mysterious connection with the entire pyramid and even the whole world.

Looking at the Scepter of Eternal Light ahead, Chen Ping asked with some confusion, "Tuantuan, why do I feel so relaxed? We haven't encountered a single trap along the way?"

System spirit, Tuantuan: "Oh, Master Chen Ping, have you forgotten? You are a Great Luo Golden Immortal, the most powerful being in this world, and you're only a Golden Immortal."

So it's not that there weren't traps or similar things, but rather that they had no effect on you. You had to withstand the pressure of a Golden Immortal level all the way here, but it was much weaker for you, so you didn't feel anything.
