Ying Huo was oblivious to the snow rabbit's malice; she was now completely captivated by the fluffy creature and was crouching down to stroke it.
Chen Ping glanced at it and then ignored it, because he had already realized that the snow rabbits that appeared now were not dangerous at all, but the large rabbits that were wriggling in this direction were a different story.
It's even hard to say whether it's a rabbit or not.
The large white furballs kept wriggling towards them, while Ying Huo was still engrossed in petting the rabbits, completely unaware of the impending danger. Of course, it's also possible that the malice of these large white furballs was very subtle.
Although Chen Ping wasn't particularly wary of the snow rabbits, he keenly sensed that these seemingly innocent creatures might be hiding a secret. He decided not to disturb Ying Huo, who was immersed in her joy, and instead quietly began further reconnaissance.
As the large white furballs drew closer, Chen Ping noticed that while these creatures resembled snow hares in appearance, they were significantly larger and moved with greater unpredictability. Their fur blended almost seamlessly into the snow, making them easily overlooked without close observation. These creatures seemed to possess some kind of special camouflage ability, used to confuse enemies or prey.
Just as Chen Ping was about to remind Ying Huo, who was engrossed in teasing the snow rabbit, a series of low, rhythmic "humming" sounds came from not far away. The sound was out of place with the surrounding tranquility and seemed particularly abrupt. He frowned and immediately realized that this was not a simple natural environmental sound, but rather the sound of some kind of creature, and there were quite a few of them.
"Ying Huo, be careful!" Chen Ping warned in a low voice, while quickly casting wary glances at the snow rabbits that had scattered around, trying to find the source of the voice.
Just then, a fierce blizzard suddenly swept in from afar. In the blizzard, a huge figure gradually appeared, accompanied by more snowballs. Their size far exceeded that of ordinary snow rabbits, some even reaching several meters in height. These creatures had thick limbs and heavy fur, and were none other than the legendary raging yeti—Nunu.
It turns out that these snow hares are not simply playing around; they seem to be playing a role—as bait or cover, attracting prey or enemies to approach, thus creating opportunities for the Yeti tribe to hunt.
This strategy is not uncommon in nature, but it appears particularly cunning and ingenious in the environment of a death arena.
The appearance of the blizzard horde meant the real challenge was about to begin. He quickly went to Ying Huo's side and whispered a reminder: "Ying Huo, stop petting the rabbits, the enemy is coming. These snow rabbits might be bait; the real threat is here."
Ying Huo, holding the rabbit, looked up in a daze and saw a group of huge, muscular snowmen approaching them menacingly in the snow. Behind them, the Nunus were watching the two of them with an almost scrutinizing gaze, as if assessing their strength.
"Chen Ping, this is getting interesting! A blizzard horde! Chen Ping, I've heard my family mention them before. They're quite common in snowy environments. Because they always move in groups, they can survive well in any icy and snowy environment. However, their strength is average; the strongest of them hasn't even surpassed the peak of a main god."
As Ying Huo explained, he took out his spear, gripped it tightly, and prepared for the upcoming battle.
Chen Ping nodded, and the two quickly stood back to back, intending to form a mutually supportive formation, but...
Chen Ping did a backflip with a bewildered look on his face. The Berserker Nunus were all stunned. What kind of move was this? They just couldn't understand it.
Ying Huo stared blankly at the two long legs draped over her shoulders. The next second, her face darkened, becoming extremely gloomy, as if it were about to rain.
The spear in his hand involuntarily turned slightly, and just as it was about to be aimed at Chen Ping's back hall, Chen Ping seemed to sense the danger. He immediately pulled his feet off Ying Huo's shoulders and stood up instantly.
Chen Ping smiled awkwardly at Ying Huo, then quickly said, "How about we try again? This time, the same thing definitely won't happen again."
Ying Huo's expression, which had just begun to calm down, darkened again. She gritted her teeth, but had nothing to say. Ultimately, it was all her fault for being short. If she were even a tiny bit taller, this wouldn't have happened.
On the other side, the Nunus of the Blizzard Clan, watching Chen Ping and Ying Huo's performance, actually started to think about things that were not very smart.
Will eating them affect my intelligence? If so, should I continue hunting them?
......
"Chen Ping, are you ready? Although the blizzard's horde is large, we should be able to handle it if we coordinate properly. Remember, stay focused and don't get distracted." Ying Huo reminded her while adjusting her breathing. The spear in her hand gleamed coldly in the sunlight. Her eyes were firm and calm, completely devoid of the embarrassment she had just felt.
Chen Ping nodded firmly in response, and the two quickly adjusted to a back-to-back formation. This time, he paid even more attention to the space between them to ensure that the previous awkward situation would not occur again. He said softly, "Okay, don't worry."
Just as they were preparing to meet the onslaught of the Blizzard horde, an unexpected scene stunned both sides. Nunu, the leader of the Blizzard horde, did not immediately launch an attack, but instead led his people in a hesitation, seemingly wavering.
These yeti exchanged puzzled glances, seemingly engaged in some kind of discussion. Their movements and expressions were exceptionally vivid, completely exceeding people's conventional understanding of yeti creatures.
Chen Ping and Ying Huo exchanged a glance, both reading the same question in each other's eyes: What exactly are these snowmen doing?
The two of them could never have imagined that these berserk yeti Nunu were discussing whether eating them would make them stupid.
If they could hear the unique language of the rampaging Yetis, both of them would definitely turn pale. After all, being considered an idiot by the Yetis? How could they possibly tolerate that? It seems impossible, okay.
After discussing for a while, the rampaging Yeti Nunu decided to continue hunting. After all, they had finally managed to corner two prey, and even if they were a little mentally unstable, it wouldn't matter much. At worst, they could just let their brains shut down.
After the discussion, the rampaging Nunus began to charge towards Chen Ping and Ying Huo.
