1.

Ye Yuanyin's first child was a daughter.

Because both of them were busy with their careers, she didn't become a mother until she was 35. Not to mention Chen Yan, who was overly spoiled because he had a daughter in his old age.

The child was named "Chang Shu" and was difficult to control when he was three years old.

Once, when the aunt was away, Ye Yuanyin was in a hurry to feed her and then go back to work. At that time, the little girl was in the first sensitive period of childhood development. She cried and made a fuss over a vegetable pancake that was no longer in its complete shape, which made Ye Yuanyin very angry.

Even three days later, when Dian Jing returned from a business trip, the little girl still complained to him, "Mom is bad."

During the rest time at night, Chen Di'an said a few words to her, meaning that the child was only a little old and there was no need to control her so strictly.

After hearing this, Ye Yuanyin sneered and said, "Your daughter is very capable now. She has even learned to throw things. You spoil her and don't care about her. Her aunt doesn't dare to intervene because of your face. If I don't care about her anymore, who will be able to take care of her in the future?"

After listening to this, he silently defended himself, "It will be fine when you grow up."

"What's good about that? He grows up to be Shen Lianxing again!"

When she said that, Chen Di'an suddenly understood something, as if he had finally understood the feelings of being a parent. Back then, her grandparents only had her, their aunt, and they probably doted on her like a baby, spoiling her and eventually losing control of her.

He wondered how his daughter could be so spoiled, so he deliberately restrained himself.

Two days later, little Shen Changshu asked for candy again before going to bed.

Ye Yuanyin sternly refused, "You can't eat it. I've already brushed my teeth. Eating any more will ruin your teeth."

"No. I want it."

The mother's heart was as hard as a rock, and the little girl cried her heart out.

This time, Chen Yan'an was a little more resolute and coaxed his baby daughter, saying, "Your mother is right. You must protect your teeth from childhood, otherwise it will hurt when black holes grow in the future."

It was the first time that the little girl was rejected by her father. She carefully observed his expression, moved her chubby body closer to him, hugged his neck and started crying loudly.

"I want candy, I want to eat, wow..."

Yan Jing'an looked down and saw that her face, as tender as tofu, was covered in red spots from excessive rubbing. Her large eyes were crystal clear with tears. She cried as if her whole body was exerting all its strength, even her bright red lips had turned pale. His heart softened, but he still said with a stern face, "No. I said no, and it means no."

Shen Changshu was stunned. She turned to look at her mother, then at her father. After weighing the pros and cons, she climbed onto her father's lap with her belly bulging. She tilted her little face up, hugged his neck, sobbed, and said in a baby voice, "Dad, even though you are mean to me, I still love you so much."

Chen Yan'an felt empty inside, as if he had stepped into the soft mud on the beach, his feet sinking deeply. Looking at her frizzy black hair and round red nose, he felt like he had no idea what to do about it.

2.

Starting in September, the Ancheng Museum of Art will host an exhibition titled "Running with the Times." Meanwhile, the world-famous painting exhibition that opened in February is about to conclude. Because it was funded by Shen Development Group, no one understands the significance of this exhibition better than Shen Dian'an.

Two days before the exhibition was about to be dismantled, he noticed his wife hadn't shown any interest and was puzzled. He kindly reminded her, "Why don't you go and see it? If you miss it this time, you'll have to go to Paris to see it again."

Indeed, it was a rare opportunity to see such a famous painting right next to my doorstep, so it would be a shame not to go. Ye Yuanyin postponed several previously scheduled jobs, booked tickets for a night show through the WeChat official account, and asked Huang Hua to accompany him.

Huang Hua couldn't stand her being so stingy and complained bitterly, "Come on, big sister! You're still paying for your husband's exhibition? Okay, spending money is fine, but you only bought a 40-yuan ticket for the evening show! Do you think you deserve this kind of painting that sells for hundreds of millions of yuan just by taking any one out of this museum?"

"Yeah, I'm such a vulgar person." Ye Yuanyin said with a resigned smile, "But, the night show tickets are less crowded and people can watch more carefully. Isn't this more cost-effective?"

"I'm so fucking impressed." Huang Hua scolded her and then did not forget to pity herself. "Look at me, I have no money but I still like to act like a big shot. I deserve to be in deficit every month."

Ye Yuanyin's original intention was to avoid the bustling crowds, but she hadn't expected the crowds to arrive after ten o'clock at night to be even greater than those who came during the day. Right now, the most famous paintings were packed with people, and she was squeezed in without much effort.

Huang Hua had already watched the daytime exhibition with Zhao Tongming once, so he was not in a hurry at the moment and was inevitably left on the periphery.

Finally, everyone in front left, and it was Ye Yuanyin's turn to stand in the center. In order to see it more clearly, she leaned her body slightly toward the front of the painting, and waved the hand that remained outside at Huang Hua, "Hold my hand, or you'll get lost in the crowd."

The person behind her lowered his eyes to look at her delicate little hand, and as if possessed by magic, he slowly grasped it.

It was a man's hand covered with thin calluses.

Ye Yuanyin suddenly realized that something was wrong and turned around abruptly, only to see You Jing's face, which looked like it was carved out of stone, full of extreme lines and a sense of power. She was so scared that she quickly pulled her hand out.

You Jing urged her expressionlessly, "Leave after you're done. The people behind are waiting."

She took quick steps, almost running away.

Because of this little incident, I lost all interest in the exhibition for the second half.

After a quick tour, Huang Hua went to the nearby store to buy cultural and creative products and asked her to wait for him on the viewing platform.

Ye Yuanyin pushed open the door and saw some people already on the platform. Under the night, Ancheng was shrouded in luxury and extravagance, and the wealth that could not be concealed poured out like rice fat.

She picked up her phone and took a picture of the night scene.

September in Ancheng still carries the lingering nostalgia of summer. You Jing watched quietly from a distance. She was wearing a white linen long skirt, and the natural wrinkles of the fabric were engraved in his heart. He seemed to see the girl from many years ago, standing in front of him in the same pretty way.

Back then, there was still light in her eyes, and she radiated kindness and openness towards him. Of course, she would still smile at him. In those days, the sky was blue and the water was turquoise. The breeze blew her paintings, and the books on the table seemed to have no worries, but laughed loudly when the wind blew.

Unfortunately, time flies so fast, and I don’t know how, but I lost her while walking.

Jiang Xue finished looking at the scenery across from her, then walked over from the other side and took his arm, "Hubby, let's go."

"Uh, okay."

You Jing turned around with her and suddenly raised his right hand to look at it carefully. It seemed that there was still some warmth on it.

Jiang Xue looked at him puzzledly and asked, "What's wrong?"

You Jing put his hand down, tightly grasping the last bit of his nostalgia, and said with a smile: "Nothing, let's go."
