"You cheated on me in your past life, don't you remember?"
Zhou Qian was still shedding tears when she suddenly heard a voice from above her head. She sat up suddenly and said excitedly, "Lu Jing, are you awake?"
Lu Jing chuckled, "Are you so afraid that I'll die?"
"Of course. If you die, the smell of your corpse will attract wild animals. I'll be in trouble."
Lu Jing pinched her face precisely in the dark night and said punitively, "If you say 'you're worried about me', you'll get hemorrhoids in your mouth, right?"
Zhou Qian frowned in pain and slapped his hand away. "I don't know if I'll get hemorrhoids, but I'm sure I'll be struck by lightning."
"There won't be thunder in this season. Come, say something pleasant to me to warm my ears."

Lu Jing was dazed from the fever, his eyelids heavy and unable to open. He replied weakly, "Because they all want us to die."
Zhou Qian was stunned for a moment and turned to look at him, "Why are you so dark?"
"Because I am a person living in darkness." Lu Jing's voice began to falter, as if he was no longer conscious.
"Lu Jing, you can't sleep, get up." Zhou Qian wanted to pull him up anxiously.
If he fell asleep, she would be scared to be alone. Besides, he had such a high fever now that he might not wake up if he fell into a coma.
Lu Jing used her strength to sit up and found a place to lean on.
Zhou Qian was afraid that he would feel sleepy, so she found a topic to get him talking. "Lu Jing, can you tell me about your childhood?"
"Then why don't you tell me about your childhood?"
"I told you, will you tell me too?"
"Um."
