Chapter 42 I have no obligation to listen to your sarcasm

"I wear it."

She had no other choice.

At lunch time, I stood at the hospital entrance.

Yes, she wanted to find out whether she and Fu Jingfeng’s dead wife were the same person.

She thought rationally that Lin Ruobing's words were not credible.

She needs to figure this out on her own.

She looked at the hospital sign, figured it out, and walked in with determination.

She made an appointment in advance, but the test results will not be available until later.

She quickly came out and told herself not to think too much and just wait for the result calmly.

She thought she shouldn't be. When the facts and evidence were presented to Fu Jingfeng, Fu Jingfeng would probably be obedient.

But when she came out of the hospital, she ran into Lin Ruobing again. Lin Ruobing walked towards her in eight-centimeter high heels and greeted her with a smile: "Weiyi, what a coincidence, are you feeling unwell?"

"Is Miss Lin following me?"

Gu Weiyi looked at Lin Ruobing for a while and asked.

Yes, she felt that Lin Ruobing was following her, and she soon noticed something strange on Lin Ruobing's face.

"Why am I following you? I'm also feeling a little unwell, so I came here for a checkup. Only, did Jingfeng hear our phone call today?"

"No."

Gu Weiyi didn't lie to her.

Lin Ruobing breathed a sigh of relief after hearing this, but then said, "There's some misunderstanding between Jingfeng and me. Remember when I told you that his deceased wife had cheated on him? Ever since that woman cheated on him, he doesn't trust women anymore. He thinks all women in the world cheat."

Gu Weiyi looked at her in silence.

For some reason, she couldn't convince herself to believe any of Lin Ruobing's words.

"I'm telling the truth. He thought I was betraying him too, simply because a younger brother stayed over at my house last time and nothing happened between us."

Lin Ruobing shook her head when she explained to her, as if to say that Fu Jingfeng had paranoia.

"Ms. Lin, you don't have to tell me this. I'm just an outsider."

Gu Weiyi said calmly.

"Yeah, look how clear-headed you are. You've lived in his house so many times. Does that mean you're just living in an affair?"

Lin Ruobing looked at her straight, as if expecting something.

"Ms. Lin, I have no obligation to listen to your sarcasm. You must understand this."

Due to his upbringing, Gu Weiyi let her finish her words before giving her a reminder.

"What?"

"Goodbye."

Gu Weiyi said no more, walked around her and strode outside.

Lin Ruobing turned around and stared at her departing figure, silently clenching her fists. Her cell phone rang, and she came back to her senses. She walked inside and asked, "How is it?"

"She really didn't believe the prescription I gave you last time, and came to do the check-up herself."

The other party answered her.

"I'll be right there."

Lin Ruobing hung up the phone and quickened her pace.

——

In the afternoon, Fu Jingfeng went upstairs for a meeting and never came back.

Gu Weiyi felt particularly relaxed when he was not around, and went downstairs humming a song, but unexpectedly...

A familiar car stopped there, and the driver stood in front and said with a smile: "Young Madam, the old lady asked me to pick you up and take you back to the old house for dinner."

"Oh, okay."

Gu Weiyi smiled and nodded, subconsciously glancing at the back seat.

She wanted to sit in the front, but before she could get there, the rear window opened and the man's cold, deep voice, which seemed to be a thousand miles away, rang out: "Sit in the back."

"Young Madam, please."

The driver noticed Fu Jingfeng's expression and immediately went to help open the back door.

Gu Weiyi had no choice but to nod to express his gratitude to the driver and then got in.

The originally spacious carriage suddenly became a bit cramped, making it difficult to breathe.

After reading the email, Fu Jingfeng put away his phone, turned to look at her, and asked, "I heard you went to the hospital at noon?"

Gu Weiyi immediately turned to look at him, "How did you know?"

"Lin Ruobing."

Fu Jingfeng said three words calmly.

Gu Weiyi was immediately unhappy when he heard the name, but he just said lightly: "My stomach is not feeling well, I went to check it out."

"Um."

Fu Jingfeng just responded.

Gu Weiyi was very surprised by this and looked at him again.

But he didn't ask any more questions, and of course she couldn't help but confess.

But she actually has something very important to do recently, which is why she is sitting here obediently.

If she wanted to check whether she was the same person as his wife, it would be useless for her to check alone, she would need his wife's things.

Fu Jingfeng's phone rang. He glanced at it and answered it: "What's the matter?"

"Let's have dinner together. It's my treat. You can call your secretary."

Lin Ruobing said on the phone.

"That's not necessary."

Fu Jingfeng hung up the phone after he finished speaking.

Gu Weiyi had a hunch that it was Lin Ruobing, but her indifference towards her surprised her.

Although he said that he did not sleep with Lin Ruobing, her intuition told her that there must be something going on between him and Lin Ruobing.

If they hadn't slept together, what was their relationship like?

Childhood sweethearts, growing up together, and then...

Gu Weiyi thought of what Lin Ruobing had said before. Did they become strangers because of that woman?

Gu Weiyi stopped thinking about her headache. After all, she had already been to the hospital, and she didn't want to think about unnecessary things.

The simpler life is, the better.

She thinks so.

——

After having dinner at the Fu family's old house, a sudden rainstorm hit and the two had to stay overnight.
