"Holy crap? What happened to your mouth?"
Shi Youxi raised her hand to touch her lips, and the stinging sensation of her broken lips reminded her of what had just happened.
"She's bleeding! Uncle Lin, quickly, do you have any ointment?!"
"Where are you bleeding?" Mu Yiran heard this question as soon as she entered the restaurant. Uncle Lin was walking out and greeted her.
"Young Master's mouth is bleeding."
"Huh? How could your mouth be like that?" Mu Yiran went in to look at Shi Youxi, but the other person had her head down, almost buried in the bowl.
The tattooed man on one side, with a fried snack in his mouth, looked at Shi Youxi as if he had never seen such a shameless person before.
A young master stole his food?!
Uncle Lin only gave him a mouthful!
"Young Master, that's mine..."
"Yours?" Shi Youxi looked up from the bowl, his face flushed red. His lips were smeared with brown sugar water, and the broken skin was almost invisible.
Thinking of his pitiful castle that had been ruthlessly destroyed, the tattooed man felt a chill run down his spine. "Yours, I know the young master likes to eat it, so I packed it for you."
"You said your lips were chapped and bleeding?" Mu Yiran sat opposite him, scrutinizing him.
Shi Youxi withdrew her cold expression from the tattooed arm and looked at Mu Yiran with a slight smile, "It's nothing, she's probably just a little feverish."
"You're so hot-tempered, your ears are all red." Shi Si exclaimed from the other side. He wanted to pinch them, but Shi Youxi slapped him across the face.
Shi Si reacted even more strongly to the tap, grabbing Shi Youxi's withdrawn hand. "Holy crap, you're so hot! Are you suffering from some kind of blood heat syndrome? You're going to have a nosebleed soon..."
"Has our young master been holding back for too long? Tsk, it's not good to bottle it up! I have some to send you—"
"???"
Mu Yiran understood immediately, and she didn't know why her face turned red.
So it seems that the common saying that teenage boys are hot-tempered is true...
Shi Si shouted more and more enthusiastically, completely unaware of the oppressive atmosphere emanating from the young man. The tattooed man next to him lifted his buttocks and sat down in another spot. Seeing Uncle Lin stride in with ointment, he stopped him: "Do you need any other medicine?"
Uncle Lin: "What else—"
"Holy crap!" Shi Si let out a low howl, his face contorted in pain as he reached for his Achilles tendon, which was swollen to the size of a pig's trotter.
The boy had used all his strength in that kick, and his Achilles tendon was throbbing with pain. Shi Si twitched towards Uncle Lin: "Uncle Lin, the medicine!"
People were inexplicably getting injured one after another. Mu Yiran was confused about the situation. When she saw Shi Youxi stand up, his face darkened. He looked at Mu Yiran opposite him, and the two of them instinctively looked away.
Mu Yiran took a sip of milk and ate a spoonful of small glutinous rice balls, then said in a natural tone, "Are you really okay? Do we not need to take your temperature?"
Shi Youxi's dark face turned pale and red. He looked away and said, "No need, the soup is too hot."
The boy pursed his lips awkwardly. He had long eyelashes, and when he was shy, his drooping eyes and trembling eyelashes resembled a newly hatched butterfly, fluttering uncontrollably.
Mu Yiran suppressed her laughter, feeling that if she actually laughed out loud, it might hurt the boy's self-esteem.
Shi Youxi sat opposite her, mechanically eating his breakfast as if chewing wax. He only dared to look up at her when he was drinking milk.
And so, I always find myself drawn to that spot of hers.
The wine-red syrup stained her lips a vibrant red, and the sweet fermented rice balls were very soft... very sweet...
The glass was empty, but the boy kept swallowing, his Adam's apple bobbing.
Actually, when it hit her, Shi Youxi didn't feel any pain at all, she only felt soft, very soft.
When his sister went to pull him up, the physical numbness and pain surged over him like a tide.
Overwhelmed by emotions even more agonizing than before, Shi Youxi ran back to his room in a panic, as if he had lost his soul.
After a long while, still feeling unsatisfied, he stuck out the tip of his tongue and licked the wound on his lip.
It licked it again.
strangeness.
Even the blood from the wounds she inflicted tasted sweet…
"What's wrong? Do you want this too?"
Shi Youxi snapped out of his daze and saw Mu Yiran looking at him with brown sugar glutinous rice cakes in her hands. Mu Yiran liked to eat these, so Uncle Lin prepared different kinds for her every day.
Upon seeing the sweet and soft treat, Shi Youxi's eyes welled up with tears, and she abruptly stood up. "No, I'm full, I should go."
He stood up and casually pulled Shi Si, who was spraying pesticide nearby, up with him, saying, "You drive."
"Holy crap, I'm crippled and you didn't see? If you want to die with me on the road, just say so!"
"Shut up!"
The two walked out cursing. Uncle Lin remembered that he hadn't given Shi Youxi the ointment yet, so he picked it up and chased after him, but the boy walked very fast, as if he were running away.
Seeing that Shi Youxi was still walking, Uncle Lin called out to Mu Yiran as if to complain, "Madam, the young master hasn't applied medicine to his mouth yet."
Upon hearing this, Mu Yiran poked her head out and yelled, "Shi Youxi! Bring the medicine!"
A short while later, Shi Youxi came back and put the medicine Lin Bo had given him into his pocket.
Looking at the boy's exposed earlobe, Mu Yiran smiled helplessly.
"Madam, this afternoon we'll go to the company first, and then go to Qinheyu with the master there."
"OK."
At noon, Shi Youxi called back to say that he wouldn't be back for a while and told Mu Yiran not to wait for him for lunch.
"Then you'll probably have to eat by yourself when you get back tonight. I have an appointment with the Cheng family tonight."
Shi Youxi frowned. "Are they the two we saw last time?"
The boy even skipped the formalities of address.
Mu Yiran sensed the displeasure in his words and smiled, "Yes, but there are other people too. It's just a meal. Your father will be there too, so don't worry."
Will Father go too?
It seems to be related to the cooperation between the two families. However, the older sister isn't really Cheng Ran. Won't there be problems facing so many members of the Cheng family...?
Shi Youxi responded to the woman and hung up the phone. He needed to quickly resolve the matters at school, as he also had to go to Qinheyu in the afternoon.
Jingyi's 50th anniversary celebration is approaching, which coincides with the 100-day countdown to the college entrance examination. The school has entrusted the administrative department and student union with this task. Shi Youxi may not be present for some things, but he must be present today. The school has invited some alumni back.
As Shi Youxi walked towards the auditorium, he saw a black car parked on the side of the road as he approached the entrance, and several people got out of it.
When Shi Youxi saw the back of the man with silver hair, she stopped in her tracks and stared intently at him with her phoenix eyes.
The administrative teacher enthusiastically led the man towards the auditorium and immediately spotted Shi Youxi, who was standing at the entrance. He happily said to Shi Youxi, "Student Shi, this is an alumnus of our school and one of the school's board members. It's quite a coincidence that he shares the same surname as you, Shi Bianji, Mr. Shi."
"Mr. Shi, this is Shi Youxi."
Shi Youxi remained motionless. He should have greeted the man politely, but he only stared at him coldly.
The man was very tall with deep blue eyes. Shi Bianji looked at the tall boy in front of him, chuckled, and extended his gloved hand, his tone both nostalgic and wistful.
"Long time no see, Xiao Xi."
