Chapter 58 Chocolate Soufflé: A Short Vacation
When Amaho Akina came out after taking a shower, there was no one in the house, and no sign of anyone having been there. She also didn't hear the sound of the door opening, so she naturally assumed that they hadn't come to her house.
As Akina Amako dried her wet hair with a towel, she opened her phone and found an unread message from Yuu Miyako.
The gist is that after their run, they need to go home and tidy up first.
Akina Ame-ho nodded knowingly. Yes, they should change their clothes too.
She was holding a hairdryer, about to remove the hair clip that held her damp hair to dry it, when there was a knock on the door.
Akina Amako hesitated for a moment, then went to the door and looked through the peephole. Ah, it's Yuu and Osamu. I didn't expect them to be so fast.
And didn't you say you were going to tidy up first? Why do you still look a little out of breath? Amamiya was a little confused, but she still opened the door.
She was still wearing her pajamas, and the room was quite warm. She really didn't want to face the cold air outside, so she urged the two of them to come in quickly and close the door.
"Come in quickly, and close the door behind you so the air conditioning doesn't get in." With that, she walked towards the sofa.
Miya Yu and Miyaji actually changed their clothes after a quick shower and came over very quickly, probably because they were in a panic, or perhaps because they wanted to see Amaho Akina as soon as possible, so they ran on the road.
So when they arrived at Amaho Akina's house, they were still a little out of breath.
Seeing that Amako Akina was still wearing her pajamas, Miya Yu temporarily turned his head away, closed the door, and walked inside.
Akina Ama seemed completely unconcerned.
"You two, since you're here, please sit down first. I need to dry my hair."
As she spoke, she shifted slightly to the side, indicating that the two of them could sit on the other side of the sofa.
“Mina’s hair must be very long. It must be very inconvenient for you to manage it yourself. How about I blow-dry it for you?” Miyaji suggested at this moment.
Well, at least he thought the suggestion was pretty good.
It not only solves Minnai's problem, but also enhances their contact, which is good in every sense.
Miyaji naturally had his own ulterior motives.
Akina Amane paused for a moment, then subconsciously touched her damp hair: "No need, my hair is long and it takes a long time to blow-dry, that would be too much trouble for you guys."
It takes her about 15 minutes to blow-dry her hair, even with a relatively efficient hairdryer.
Gong You glared at Gong Zhi, then held up a finger and shook it: "But if you blow-dry it yourself, your hair will be messy, right? Since A-Zhi said he'd help you blow-dry your hair, then I'll help you comb it. It'll definitely be faster than you doing it yourself."
He didn't want Osamu to do all the work for him, so since Miyaji offered to help blow-dry his hair, he could only consider it from another angle.
Coincidentally, we should be missing someone to comb our hair.
He didn't think there was anything wrong with his and Miyaji's behavior at all; he was just smug about it.
"Hmm...that's fine, but don't pull my hair too hard." After hesitating for a moment, Akina Amako had to admit that she didn't want to do anything if she could save herself the trouble. Otherwise, why would anyone go to a hair salon to get their hair washed? It's because hair salons offer a complete service.
Sometimes when she's too lazy to do anything, she'll go to the hair salon, at least she won't have to deal with the hassle of combing her messy hair after blow-drying it.
So she felt perfectly justified in entrusting this matter to these two people.
Akina Ama took a comb out of the drawer and handed it to Yu Miyako, then handed the hair dryer to Osamu Miyako.
"Okay, I'll lean against the sofa. Thank you for your help." The sofa was conveniently placed in the middle of the living room, and there was plenty of room for several people behind it.
Gong Zhi went to the back and turned on the hairdryer, while Gong You carefully removed the hair clip, reached out and grabbed a handful of hair to comb it, all the while the warm air kept blowing.
Akina Ame closed her eyes slightly. She was somewhat surprised that these two people hadn't actually hurt her hair. Logically speaking, they weren't professional hairdressers, yet they managed to do such a good job.
Little did she know that both of them were being very careful, after all, they didn't want to give Minna any negative feelings. Besides, her hair did feel very soft and smooth to the touch, making it even more hard to let go.
Before she knew it, the hairdryer stopped, and her hair, now smooth and soft, cascaded down the sofa.
Akina touched her hair, which was still warm to the touch. It was smooth and tangle-free. The last time she felt this way was in the hair salon.
...After all, anyone with long hair knows how painful it is when their hair gets tangled while blow-drying it.
Gong You rubbed his fingers together, stared blankly at them for a moment, still somewhat reluctant to let go of the sensation from before, but he also knew he couldn't touch them anymore.
Amane Akina turned her head slightly to look at Miya Yu: "Alright, give me back the comb, I want to comb it myself again."
Miyako obediently handed her the comb, and then the two of them watched as Akina Amami skillfully tied her hair into a bun.
Miyaji sighed, a little regretful. He wished Akina would let her hair down.
Although he could understand that if all the hair was let down, it would not only easily become messy, but also easily get dirty.
"I didn't expect you two to be such good cooks." Akina Amami turned around, gripping the sofa with her hands, her eyes sparkling as she looked at them.
"Um... I'm a little embarrassed to say this, but could I ask you for help again in the future?" Akina Amaho pursed her lips.
She knew that her request sounded a bit unreasonable, since Gong You and Gong Zhi were on vacation and seemed to have a lot of free time, which was why they were able to help at this time.
But then, they'll probably be busy again, and Akina Amaho started calculating her time.
“Of course!” Miyaji answered quickly.
"I'm fine with it." Gong You shrugged.
Well, after all, this is a rare opportunity to get closer to someone with a legitimate reason, so how could they give it up so easily?
There's always a desire to invade her daily life, a desire to see her life unconsciously filled with my own presence.
So of course they wouldn't refuse.
"That's good. In that case, let's set a time for it from now on. After all, we can't take up your training time," said Akina Amasui.
"Then how about we use Sunday? We can go for a morning workout together, and then I can help you blow-dry your hair when we get back," Gong Zhi suggested.
Akina Amako nodded: "That works too."
They all deliberately ignored the fact that Amaho Akina would be transferring schools after the next short semester ended.
After all, no one would wish that this wonderful moment could last a little longer.
Miyako turned around again and sat down next to Amiho Akina in a carefree manner: "Alright, since we still have a few days of vacation left, how about we continue playing games? I remember there are still several two-player games on Akina's cartridges that she hasn't finished."
Miyaji walked over, picked up a cassette tape from the table, and inserted it into the cassette.
"Anyway, I don't have anything else to do right now, so I'll just play games." Amamiya sighed. It was a rare moment of rest for her. She had just taken a shower and was still in her pajamas, so she didn't feel like drawing for a while.
"However, you should still remember that you have homework, right?" Akina Amako glanced at the two people on her left and right.
Both of them froze.
"Haha... How could we forget? We must have written something down when we were at home." Gong You gave a stiff laugh, but his words revealed a deep sense of guilt.
In other words, they just didn't want to do their homework, so they played games here to kill time. After all, Mina was tired after exercising, and they couldn't very well take her out to play volleyball.
Gong Zhi remained calm, though that calmness was merely a facade to conceal his panic: "It's alright, there's still about a week until school starts, we can catch up later, and there's not much homework."
Akina Amako shook her head helplessly, but still turned on the game controller.
Over the next few days, Miyako and Miyako continued to take Amaho Akina for morning runs, and Amaho Akina's physical strength visibly improved.
Of course, they didn't have time to play anymore; what was more important was volleyball training and the painting that Akina had been longing for.
So in the afternoon, the volleyball team members gathered together, since they would soon be going to Tokyo to participate in the Spring High School Volleyball Championship.
Akina Amane was happy to continue sketching her drawings, thanks to the observations she had made over the past few days, which had given her a lot of ideas on how to draw dynamic subjects.
Before we knew it, the holiday was coming to an end. This short holiday was only two weeks long.
Miya Yu groaned as Amane Akina pinned her to the table, where she struggled to do her homework.
"Why do I have to do homework during the holidays?!" He didn't want to do it at all; he wanted to play volleyball or hang out with Mina.
Akina Amazuki, hands on her hips, said, "Yeah, we're students after all, and students definitely have to do homework." She said it as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Gong Zhi looked serious, and if you looked closely, there was also a hint of death in his expression: "Hmm, student life is not happy at all. In other words, can't we just not be students?"
“No, you’re all high school students. If you’re not high school students, you shouldn’t be participating in the competition at this age, right?” said Akina Amami.
Seeing the two of them still staring blankly at their workbooks, with Miyako even scribbling some random symbols on them, it was clear that either they didn't know how or they didn't want to think about it at all. Akina sighed and took out her own workbook.
"Alright, you two better hurry up and write, or we'll really be running out of time." Akina Ama patted the two of them on the shoulder and sighed.
Miya Yu and Miyaji were writing furiously, opening Amaho Akina's notebook and starting to copy from it.
"However, once you've finished all your homework, I'll ask you about your problem-solving strategies," Amaho Akina said with a smile.
In other words, they can't escape either.
"How could this happen? You know we can't answer it!" Gong Zhi wailed.
In any case, they were still tormented by homework in the last two days of the holiday.
