Chapter 90: Sincerity (2/2)

Lin Yi wiped the tears from his forehead and looked around the entire yard.

It was a large, well-designed flat with a terrace in front of the door and two vegetable gardens in the yard where seasonal vegetables were grown. There was even a small plastic shed. Lin Yi took a look and saw that strawberries were planted inside.

The whole yard is simple and elegant, and spotlessly clean.

There were two chubby little black dogs on leashes, and two Chinese rural cats rubbing against my grandfather's legs.

He is an old soldier, and every corner of his house exudes rigor. You can tell by the neatly folded clothes on the sofa.

Even the teacups and teapots were neatly arranged.

Lin Yi walked into the room, put down the gifts in his hand, and arranged them neatly, then nodded respectfully.

"Hello, Grandpa. I'm Shi Yi's classmate, Lin Yi. I'm sorry to bother you by coming here without your permission."

Ke Wei sat upright on the sofa and looked at Lin Yi. Although his hair was gray and his face was full of wrinkles, his eyes were sharp, bright and clear.

When he looked at Lin Yi, his whole body exuded a powerful aura of oppression that made people dare not underestimate him.

This is the heroic spirit of a soldier. Even when he is old, this temperament will stay with him throughout his life.

"Shiyi, go pick some vegetables from the field and wash them. We'll be eating them soon."

Gu Shiyi glanced at Lin Yi with concern, then turned and headed back to the vegetable garden.

There was no other way. Lin Yi had to face his grandfather and hope that everything would go well.

Lin Yi added some tea to the cup in front of the old man and smiled.

"Grandpa, you are very perceptive. I am telling you the truth. It is true that I am Shi Yi's classmate, but I am also her boyfriend."

Ke Wei picked up the teacup and took a sip.

"You're quite honest."

"Grandpa, you've fought in battles to defend our country, and you've seen everything. If I were to hide a secret from you, I'd be overestimating myself."

Lin Yi's attitude was humble and polite, and sincerity was the main feature of his actions.

"My Shiyi has never brought a boy to see me. You are the first one."

Lin Yi replied respectfully: "Grandpa, I will also be the last one."

Ke Wei glanced at Lin Yi and said, "Boy, don't be so confident. You young people have a long life ahead of you. You are still far from being able to withstand the test!"

After saying that, he stood up and walked towards the vegetable garden.

"Are you going to have dinner this afternoon? Guests are welcome. I'll make whatever you want. It's a waste of money to bring so many gifts."

Lin Yi followed closely behind: "Grandpa, I'm going to stay here tomorrow night."

Mr. Ke's figure visibly swayed, and he looked at Lin Yi with a puzzled look, "Where do you live?"

"(*^▽^*)Grandpa, I'll stay here with you."

"No, I don't have any extra beds here, so I left a single bed for Shi Yi. You can't live here."

Ke Wei would never agree to let Lin Yi live here.

"Grandpa, I can sleep on the sofa or on the floor, it doesn't matter to me."

Ke Wei frowned.

"You kid, you're still in high school, and you followed Shi Yi to my place, and you want to stay overnight here. Do you think it's appropriate? Do your parents know?"

Lin Yi took a deep breath and nodded.

"To be honest, my parents know about this wine. My dad has been saving it for years. They said you would definitely like it, so they asked me to bring it to you to try."

Ke Wei was surprised: "Do they know you're staying here?"

"Zhiyi, my parents said that you can stay overnight. If I dare to touch Shiyi, they will kill me, so you don't have to do it."
