Chapter 266: Never Divorce Letter
Xie Jian sneered: "You want to stay out of trouble."
"Isn't there a line after that, 'If you are successful, you should help the world.'" Chen Heng still recited this line: "Since I can't help the world, why can't I improve myself?"
Xie Jian looked at her coldly: "You once said that no matter what happened, you would stand by me, and you also said that we would be the closest family."
This is what she said before. Chen Heng said: "I did say that. I meant it when I said it." Well, this sounded like the quote from the scumbag: "But the two things are different and cannot be mixed up."
"Sincerely? Are you sincere about wanting a divorce when things get tough?"
Seeing that Xie Jian was truly angry, Chen Heng said, "If I can't persuade you, what can I do? You said my dissuasion was useless and insisted on seeking revenge at this time. I can't tie you up every day."
"You've never been sincere with me, have you?"
"I'm willing to have a child for you, and I also want to live a good life with you." Chen Heng's voice was still gentle: "Sincerity doesn't mean relying on others for life. If you want to do something, I can't stop you. I also don't want to see you seek revenge in this way, so I can only leave?"
"Okay, you go. Leave all your money. I will marry another woman later and give all the money to her."
"How dare you." Shen Heng's temper flared up. One thing is one thing, but why did money have to be brought into this? This was too much.
"What am I afraid of?" He is a tall and strong man, the Minister of Personnel, and he is threatened by a woman?
"You." Chen Heng laughed out of anger. "Money is just a possession outside of the body. It's up to you."
Xie Jian choked.
The room fell silent.
After a while.
Chen Heng pulled his sleeve: "Ajian."
Xie Jian ignored him.
"Ah Jian, what does it mean that one's intentions should not offend heaven and earth?" Chen Heng sat closer, resting her head on Xie Jian's shoulder, and said gently, "Actually, you've already made a decision, haven't you?"
Xie Jian didn't respond to her.
"Ajian, no matter what happens, I am willing to stand by you. This will never change. But if your revenge will lead to the destruction of the country, the displacement of the people, the suffering of all lives, and even the flow of blood," Chen Heng said softly, "you will scare me."
She didn't want to live with such an extreme person.
Even if you force yourself to be together, you will eventually become strangers.
Looking at the tenderness and determination in Ah Heng's eyes, Xie Jian took a deep breath: "Okay, I promise you, revenge is a personal matter and will never involve innocent people." He didn't want her to be afraid of him.
Chen Heng hugged him tightly. In fact, Xie Jian had already figured this out long ago, otherwise he wouldn't have written that sentence: "Ah Jian, if you feel sad, tell me, don't suppress it."
Some things are harmless if done wrong.
Once you do something wrong, you can never go back.
Chen Heng had always hoped that Xie Jian could get revenge and turn back.
Xie Jian stood up, went to the table and took out a pen and paper. After a while, he handed the paper filled with words to Chen Heng.
"A letter of no divorce?" Chen Heng glanced at it, her face darkening the more she read. The content on it was a promise that no matter what Xie Jian did in the future, she would never leave him. The most outrageous part was the last clause: "Even if we get divorced, we will be together forever."
"Press your fingerprint." Xie Jian took the ink pad and pressed it himself first.
Chen Heng looked at this unfair clause in disbelief. Was this guy childish? But she felt sorry for him. Xie Jian was able to temporarily put aside his hatred for the sake of the overall situation. It was quite rare. "This is nothing new. How about I swear an oath?"
Anyway, there will be no thunder.
