Chapter 2 I'm Not Getting Married
Liu Jianxin met Chen Juncai and fell madly in love with him. Their affair was discovered in broad daylight, and she became pregnant but miscarried. The Chen family rejected her for three years before finally offering a dowry of 100 to marry her.
They agreed to invite only their own family members, but the Chen family ended up hosting a full 20 tables!

Liu Shiping said worriedly, "Fengxiu! Come down."
The eldest son, Liu Jianguo, said, "Mom, are you out of your mind?"
Liu Jianbang, Liu Jiancheng, and Liu Jiangong stared at Zhao Fengxiu and said, "Mom, what are you making a scene up there for? Haven't we Liu family lost enough face already?"
Liu Jianmei sat at the table eating calmly, while Liu Jianli remained silent.
Zhao Fengxiu angrily retorted, "What nonsense are you spouting? Can't you see how heartbroken your eldest sister is?"
Chen's mother said from the side, "Mother-in-law, why do you suddenly not want to marry off your daughter? It's normal for a married daughter to cry. She must be sad to leave you, but she will live a good life in our family. What are you doing? Our relatives and friends are watching!"
Zhao Fengxiu said, "I said I won't marry, and I mean it! Don't force me to say such harsh words! You'd better have your sons come and explain to me afterwards, or I won't let you off the hook!"
