I wrote Chapter 25.

Just as she said, the next morning Zhou Pandi stood on her own steps, bent over, stretched her legs, looking like she was exercising early in the morning, but her eyes were fixed on the Huang family.

Hao Ren saw that she had actually gotten up early, and wondered what had gotten into her today. After having breakfast, he left.

With a creak, the tightly closed door of the Huang family's house was pulled open from the inside. Wang Huijun looked up and saw Zhou Pandi standing on the steps, staring longingly at her own door.

He gave her an awkward smile, said nothing, and stepped into the kitchen to start cooking.

Wang Huijun lit the fire, scooped water, added rice, and finished almost all the necessary procedures. She looked up at Zhou Pandang and secretly rolled her eyes at him.

What's wrong with Aunt Hao today? Why is she staring at their house like that?

After washing up, Grandma Wu was about to leave when Wang Huijun stopped her and stuffed an aluminum lunchbox into her mouth. "Mom, how can your stomach take it if you don't eat breakfast first thing in the morning? There are steamed buns and pickled vegetables in here, have something to eat."

Grandma Wu's expression softened for a moment, she nodded at her, and left without looking back.

Before Wang Huijun could recover from Wu's smile, a figure suddenly darted past her side. "Mom, wait for me!"

Huang Xiaoqiang grabbed two steamed buns from the kitchen, stuffed them into his bag, and chased after Old Lady Wu.

Zhou Pandi froze, her mouth agape. So impatient? Rushing to be reborn? She hadn't even said a word yet!

Seeing that the person was about to disappear from sight, he hurriedly went back into the house, grabbed his handbag, and chased after him.

Huang Xiaoqiang, panting heavily, ran to Grandma Wu's side after leaving the compound. "Mom, you walked too fast."

Before she could finish speaking, another voice followed, "Well...yes, Wu Mingxia, aren't you...in a hurry..."

Zhou Pandi had just straightened up, supporting herself on her knees, when Huang Xiaoqiang suddenly startled her, causing her to choke back her words.

Seeing that Grandma Wu didn't react, Huang Xiaoqiang puffed out his chest and squeezed next to her and Grandma Wu. "Hey Zhou, I advise you not to mess with my mom, or you'll be in trouble with Hao Fugui, who's in my class!"

Zhou Pan noticed his nostrils flaring, and seeing him straighten up, he was a full three heads taller than her. She swallowed hard, then leaned forward to complain to Old Lady Wu.

"Wu Mingxia, is this the son you raised? He calls everyone by their first names, doesn't he know anything about respecting elders? He's supposed to be in school? Did he learn nothing at all?!"

"I told you, what's the use of raising so many? None of them are any good. It's just that you're incompetent; you don't know how to train them. If it were me..."

Huang Xiaoqiang's chest heaved. He glanced at Old Lady Wu, but refrained from arguing with her.

I was just thinking about whether I should drag Hao Fugui out of school and beat him up, so he could take the beating for his mother.

Suddenly, she was shoved hard, and Old Lady Wu slapped Zhou Pandi left and right, making her mouth bleed as she continued to chatter.

Before Huang Xiaoqiang could react, he saw Zhou Pandi being beaten so badly that she couldn't even flinch.

"Whether I teach well or not is none of your business! Why are you so nosy? Why don't you go live by the sea?"

Zhou Pan saw stars and was about to point when a sharp pain shot through her, and her vision cleared instantly. "Let go! Let go!"

Old Mrs. Wu snorted coldly and shoved her away.

Huang Xiaoqiang's lips curled up slightly. He'd really mess with her.

It is said that one should look at a person with new eyes after three days of separation. Huang Xiaoqiang caught up with Wu Laotai, estimated for a moment, and still asked, "Mom, how come you are so strong?"

Upon hearing this, a dark glint flashed in Old Mrs. Wu's eyes. Yes, having been given a second chance at life, she seemed to have gained a lot of strength.

Perhaps she suffered too much in her previous life and did not have a good end, so God took pity on her and let her live again, and also gave her some benefits.

"I wasn't young before either."

Grandma Wu was too lazy to make up an excuse and simply dismissed him with a single sentence. When the two parted at the intersection, Huang Xiaoqiang felt a lump in his throat, and only now did he understand how much Grandma Wu had sacrificed for this family.

He could have resisted, but for their sake, he endured his father's beatings.

He was being immature; he will definitely take good care of his mother from now on.

As Grandma Wu approached the textile factory, she was unaware that Huang Xiaoqiang was secretly shedding tears for her and had resolved to take good care of her.

Zhou Pandi and Old Lady Wu went in one after the other. Only after Old Lady Wu went in did she slowly and reluctantly enter the factory.

She walked along the wall, her face hidden behind her handbag, but she was still spotted. "Zhou Pandi!"

"Why aren't you walking on the main road? And why are you blocking my way? What are you trying to do?!"

She recognized the voice as that of Director Ma from her workshop. She paused slightly, pretended not to hear, and quickened her pace to leave.

When Director Ma saw that he couldn't even call out to the person and that the person pretended not to hear him and slipped away, his face instantly turned as black as the bottom of a pot.

After getting away from Director Ma, Zhou Pandi breathed a sigh of relief and hurriedly went to find her friend to apply the medicine.

The textile factory has a pharmacy, but given her current condition, it's inconvenient for her to go out, so she has to ask someone to buy things for her.

"Da Cui, please help me..."

Before she could finish speaking, the person turned sideways and hurriedly ran away, as if they hadn't heard her. Zhou Pan frowned. What was she doing? Was she pretending?

Forget it, if Da Cui won't help, there are others.

The same thing happened three times in a row. Zhou Pandi was so angry that she ran away and didn't even go back into the workshop.

As soon as Director Ma entered the workshop, he looked around and found that Zhou Pandi was not there. He asked around, but no one knew her.

After Director Ma stormed off, those who were familiar with her immediately turned to each other and said, "I'll stay away from her from now on."

"Who says otherwise? She directly contradicted the police in front of Director Jia, making our textile factory lose face. Do you think Zhou Pandi has something wrong with her brain?"

"Sigh, back then..."

"It's always been like this! It's just that we never made a fuss about it in front of the factory manager."

The group exchanged glances and sighed, then suddenly remembered the slap mark on Zhou Pandi's face and sighed again.

He must have been out of his mind, spewing nonsense and offending someone.

Director Ma couldn't find Zhou Pandi all morning, and only saw her when he went to the cafeteria for lunch.

The workshop foreman had originally assigned the day's work to the various groups and then left, but today he ran into this oddball, Zhou Pandi.

He dared to skip work in front of her today. Before, when she wasn't around, he never knew how to slack off.

Grandma Wu and Yu Meixia had just finished getting their food and sat down when Yu Meixia suddenly gestured towards her with her chin. Looking in that direction, they saw Zhou Pandi, her face covered in white ointment, still trying to eat.

Grandma Wu's lips twitched, she looked away and began to fight with her food.

"You don't know, Director Ma has been looking for her all morning and hasn't even caught a glimpse of her. Tsk tsk tsk, she really has guts."

Old Mrs. Wu casually agreed, "Indeed." Otherwise, she wouldn't have dared to act so arrogantly in front of the factory director.

Yu Meixia shook her head. "She's really something. Look at her face, it's so swollen. I wonder who she fought with. Sigh, do you think... it was with her man?"

"I called him."

"Right, it's with her man, um...?"
