"I……"
Li Guojun, feeling guilty, avoided eye contact with Li Junsheng.
He racked his brains, trying to come up with a solution to explain himself, so that Li Junsheng wouldn't find out that he had put laxatives in the broth!
"Dad, I was just hungry and wanted to see if there was anything to eat!"
Li Guojun hastily made up an excuse, but Li Junsheng didn't believe his nonsense and looked at him suspiciously.
In the afternoon, this person pretended to help the waiter clear the table, but actually stole the leftover food. Li Junsheng saw it all!
He almost choked to death; after sneaking in so many leftovers, how could he possibly be hungry at night?
"go out!"
Li Junsheng coldly dismissed Li Guojun, who left the kitchen without saying anything.
Li Junsheng, of course, did not believe his nonsense. He looked around and found that nothing was missing from the kitchen except for the large iron ladle next to the broth pot, which was lying haphazardly to one side.
There was still some broth left on top. Could it be that Li Guojun secretly drank some of the broth? Or did he stir the broth pot?
Li Junsheng sensed something was wrong and immediately inspected the broth pot!
There was indeed something wrong with the broth pot. Li Junsheng put the large iron ladle aside and then seemed to be deep in thought.
The eldest son is a scoundrel who deliberately causes trouble for him time and time again. If it weren't for the fact that he is his son, Li Junsheng would have forgiven him long ago.
But he still showed no remorse...
It was late at night, and Li Junsheng stood alone in the kitchen, thinking for a long time.
The next morning, Li Junsheng and his children got to work, while Tang Liang was in charge of cooking the dishes for the wedding banquet.
Li Xiaoyu then instructed the waiters to perform better today and to serve every guest with a smile.
Li Guohua was summoned by Li Junsheng early in the morning to deliver a meal to someone.
After packing the items, Li Guohua set off with two waiters.
Passing by the place where he had been robbed before, Li Guohua mentally prepared himself for being robbed again.
Sure enough, the same group that had robbed Li Guojun of his food last time surrounded him again, cutting off Li Guohua's escape routes.
They were so arrogant that they didn't even bother with masks, letting Li Guohua see their faces directly.
After being beaten by Li Junsheng and his gang last time, the young leader lost face and his prestige among his underlings diminished.
Now that he sees that Li Guohua has only brought two people with him, he is determined to get his revenge!
"Grandson, you're pretty arrogant, daring to deliver goods with only two people. Grandpa will keep these things from you as a token of our respect!"
"Kowtowing to me a few more times will make you leave. Otherwise, I'll retaliate just the way you beat us last time!"
Before Li Guohua could say anything, two hot-blooded young male waiters beside him angrily said, "How dare you talk to our second brother like that? Who do you think you are? What's wrong with us? We'll beat you until you're crying for your parents!"
"Hmph, pretty arrogant! Let's see what you've got then!"
The leader of the group that robbed the goods gave his henchmen a wink, and the group began to approach Li Guohua.
While Li Guohua wasn't paying attention, they even took away a large pot of broth from the back of his car!
"Wow, this smells pretty good."
"Give us back our things!"
The two waiters next to Li Guohua panicked. They were responsible for protecting Li Guohua and transporting his meals, so they couldn't just stand by and watch his food be stolen!
The two groups of people immediately started fighting, and a bunch of people got into a chaotic brawl. Li Guohua protected the two waiters beside him, and he was no slouch in a fight either!
"Get out of my way!"
Li Guohua punched one of the men in the face, knocking out all his teeth. The young leader, seeing how fierce Li Guohua was and how many more people he was attracting, felt that something was wrong!
"Oh my god, call the police! Someone's going to get killed!"
Someone in the crowd shouted that the group that robbed the goods were afraid of being arrested, so they could only glare at Li Guohua and quickly leave with the broth they were transporting.
First, ruin Li Junsheng's restaurant business; then deal with the rest later.
"Hey, stop right there!"
The waiter next to Li Guohua wanted to chase after him, but Li Guohua pressed down on his shoulder and gently shook his head at him.
"Brother, aren't we going to go and get the stuff back?"
The waiter looked utterly aggrieved; his face was no better than if he had swallowed a live fly.
"They're not easy to pursue. Let's go back first!"
Li Guohua gave the group that hurriedly fled a meaningful look. It was truly strange that they weren't angry or guilty like last time after being robbed.
Li Guohua led the two somewhat disheveled waiters back to the restaurant. As soon as they entered, he shouted to Li Junsheng, "Dad, something terrible has happened! The big pot of broth you made last night was stolen by those people yesterday. Not a single bowl was left! What are we going to do?"
Li Guojun, who was waiting to see what would happen, was taken aback and quickly pressed Li Guohua for answers.
"What kind of broth? Is it the pot of stuff Dad was watching all night? Isn't it for the wedding banquet today?"
Li Guohua glanced at him and replied irritably, "That's for someone else!"
Upon learning that the broth he had laced with contaminants had been packed up by Li Guohua to be delivered to someone else, only to be stolen halfway there, Li Guojun's face turned extremely grim. He was devastated that he had failed to accomplish his mission.
He turned around and said to Li Junsheng with righteous indignation, "Dad, these people have gone too far. We have to find a way to get the broth back. It's not something that can be made in a short time."
Li Junsheng saw right through Li Guojun's little scheme. Even though his belongings had been stolen, Li Junsheng was unusually indifferent today.
"Forget it, consider that pot of soup as dog food. I'll use something else to replace the lack of broth!"
