Chapter 54 Tang Liang Offers Timely Help!

I just hope that my mother will be more tactful with her words and say less hurtful things, or that she can argue with my father privately.

"By the way, you and Xiao Cui are both here, but what about Xiao Wei? Is there anyone to take care of him? If it's really not possible, you can go back first, since we don't really need you here anyway."

After all, men and women are different, and Li Junsheng and Li Guohua can't be of much help to Li Chunya, at most they can help her take care of the children.

That doesn't require two people!

However, Xiaowei and Li Guohua had already been settled.

"Don't worry, Dad. I've asked the neighbor's wife to look after Xiaowei. I'll pick him up when I get back tonight!"

With his grandson being looked after, Li Junsheng can finally rest easy.

After Li Chunya fed the baby in the ward, Ji Xiaocui and Li Xiaoyu helped her clean herself up before Li Junsheng and Li Guohua returned to the ward.

Back in the ward, Li Junsheng noticed that his youngest daughter was indignant. He figured she must have found out about Sun Gui's affair and was standing up for her sister!

The little one was already asleep in his swaddling clothes, looking very well-behaved. Li Junsheng asked Li Chunya, "Have you thought of a name for this child?"

Li Chunya shook his head. "Sun Gui and his mother only said that if it's a boy, he'll bring honor to the family, but if it's a girl, they'll give her away... Dad, can you help her choose a name?"

"Okay, I'll think about it. Let's change the names of Daya and Erya to something nice, so we don't end up like Sun Gui's family."

"Dad, Chun Ya just gave birth and is still weak. We need to get her something to eat quickly. It might be too late to cook at home. Should I go buy some food?"

Ji Xiaocui was discussing buying some ready-made things for Li Chunya, and Li Junsheng was about to nod in agreement when someone gently knocked on the ward door!

"Uncle Li, I heard that Xiaoyu's sister had a premature birth, so I brought some chicken soup and some food that I made myself to come and see her."

Tang Liang appeared at the door of the ward, carrying a large food box in his hand.

Li Junsheng was surprised, not expecting Tang Liang to be so thoughtful.

He then introduced Tang Liang and Li Chunya, the second son and his wife, to Xiaoyu's boyfriend.

Thanks to the ready-made chicken soup and meals that Tang Liang brought, Li Junsheng no longer needs to go out to buy food for his children!

Li Junsheng tasted Tang Liang's cooking and found it to be quite delicious; no wonder he was able to become a temporary cook at the state-owned textile factory.

Li Junsheng couldn't help but think that if this kid was capable, he could fund a restaurant for his youngest daughter and Tang Liang, making his daughter the boss and responsible for collecting money. That would be a good idea!

That way, they won't have to struggle in the textile factory just to get a chance to become permanent employees.

Moreover, the textile factory will soon be undergoing reforms!

After finishing their meal, Li Guohua and Ji Xiaocui repeatedly praised Tang Liang.

The chicken soup, meant to nourish the body, was not drunk by Li Junsheng and the others; they all made sure Li Chunya drank it.

After eating his fill, Li Chunya's condition improved significantly, and he no longer looked so weak.

Just then, a nurse came over and said to Li Junsheng and the others, "The patient's condition is stable, and he can be discharged tomorrow. Take him home to recuperate, and make sure he eats good food so he can recover quickly!"

Li Junsheng was delighted to hear this, as long as his third son's condition was stable.

After finishing the steamed bun in his hand, Li Junsheng stood up impatiently and said to the people present, "Since Chun Ya can be discharged from the hospital tomorrow, I will go home to pack up first, and then bring Chun Ya home to take care of her tomorrow!"

Upon hearing Li Junsheng's words, Li Xiaoyu hesitated.

"Dad, is it appropriate to bring my sister home to recuperate after childbirth? What about my mom... have you discussed it with her?"

Li Xiaoyu knew her mother's character best. She was afraid that if her older sister went home with their father, she would have to watch the moods of her older brother, sister-in-law, and their own mother.

Li Junsheng knew what Li Xiaoyu was thinking. He said firmly, "It's okay. Take your sister home. I'll take care of her. I don't need to rely on your mother and the others, so don't worry about them. I'm going to take your sister back no matter what!"

After speaking, Li Junsheng paused and comforted Li Chunya, saying, "No matter what happens this time, Dad will be there to support you. Don't think about anything else, just focus on getting better."

"Thank you, Dad..."

Li Chunya lowered her head, her voice trembling and choked with emotion, tears falling onto the hospital blankets and quickly being absorbed by the cotton quilt.

Indeed, if her father hadn't stood up for her and insisted on taking her home, Li Chunya really wouldn't know what she would have done!

With her two daughters still young and herself having to care for an infant, Li Chunya wanted to be independent, but lacked the strength to do so.

Li Junsheng offered a few words of comfort to Li Chunya, without going into any further emotional appeals, and then left the hospital to go home and prepare.

After Li Junsheng left, Li Xiaoyu gently wiped away her sister's tears and said with slight worry, "Sister, you know what Mom is like. She might not be able to take care of you during your postpartum period, and your sister-in-law is even less likely to. We can't really let Dad take care of you, can we?"

"That's not very convenient either. My factory has been slow lately, so why don't you come with me and I'll help you out? I haven't spent a single penny of the money Dad gave me. I can rent you a place so we can live together. I won't stay in the factory dormitory!"

Li Chunya quickly shook her head and declined, how could she spend her sister's money?

Moreover, she knows her sister too well. There might not be little work at the factory. When she says there is little work, it might just be a white lie!

Li Chunya didn't want his sister to miss out on a chance to become a permanent employee at a state-owned factory just to take care of him.

"No need, Xiaoyu. Dad, just help me take care of this child. I can handle the rest myself. I'm not that delicate."

"But……"

Li Xiaoyu hesitated, worried that her mother and sister-in-law would say some unpleasant things to her sister.

If my sister goes with her, at least she won't talk about her like that!

Seeing this, Tang Liang also joined Li Xiaoyu in persuading Li Chunya, "Sister, it would be good if you and Xiaoyu went out to rent a place to live. I can cook and make you some nourishing soup, which will make sure you recover quickly."

"I... let me think about it."

Faced with her sister and Tang Liang's friendliness, Li Chunya was deeply moved. She felt as if she had come back to life, no longer as soulless as before, like a walking corpse!

She silently remembered the kindness of her sister and Tang Liang, and knew she would repay them when she had the chance.

Li Guohua quietly pulled his wife outside the ward, and the two whispered to each other for a while before going in and saying to Li Chunya, "Chunya, you can stay at my second brother's house for your postpartum confinement. My second brother's house is quite nice!"

Ji Xiaocui nodded in agreement, "Yes, I can take care of you too. If all else fails, Xiaoyu can come to your second brother's house to visit you, which will save you the cost of rent."

Ji Xiaocui didn't mind taking care of Li Chunya; as a woman herself, she also felt sorry for Li Chunya's plight!

Another reason is that if it weren't for the money given by her father-in-law, Li Junsheng, her son wouldn't have been able to be hospitalized for pneumonia treatment, so she was willing to help her father-in-law.

When they first got married a few years ago, he also felt that the Li family was not very good, and even felt sorry for his husband who was not loved by his parents.

But Li Junsheng's recent behavior has made her forgive him for the past.

If possible, she also wants her family to be happy together.
