Chen Dazhu was somewhat at a loss, seeing Section Chief Zhou's condescending attitude. They had met today, and Zhou had only given a curt "hmm" and nothing more.

Chen Dazhu decided to test Section Chief Zhou's attitude.
"Section Chief Zhou, look, I've even found a truck fleet for you. As long as you sign this cooperation agreement with me and issue a certificate, we can start hauling goods."
"Can we sign the contract now? We also need your permission to get into the warehouse!"
Section Chief Zhou only received instructions from Zheng Rong yesterday, so how could he possibly sign a cooperation contract with Chen Dazhu today?
So he pretended to be confused by Chen Dazhu!
"What contract? Did I say I wanted to sign any contract with you? I was wondering what you were planning to do by sending a whole fleet of vehicles over here!"
Upon hearing this, Chen Dazhu was dumbfounded. He had spent so much money to build a relationship with Section Chief Zhou, only to have the man turn around and deny everything.
That won't do!
When money was involved, Chen Dazhu hurriedly said, "We were drinking together the other day, and you said you wanted to sign a cooperation contract with me to do scrap metal business with the machinery factory. Has Section Chief Zhou forgotten?"
Section Chief Zhou smiled and easily denied his previous promise to Chen Dazhu.
"I got drunk the other day and I don't even remember what I said. Don't take my drunken words seriously!"
Chen Dazhu and Ma Weidong were dumbfounded. Section Chief Zhou had simply gone back on his word by saying he was drunk.
Li Junsheng chuckled unkindly, looking at Chen Dazhu with a half-smile, as if he were looking at a comical monkey.
Chen Dazhu's face turned ashen. He had been swaggering around with Li Junsheng just moments before, but now he had been slapped hard across the face by Section Chief Zhou!
This made him feel very embarrassed, but he couldn't get angry at Section Chief Zhou.
"Oh, right, I have some news to announce to you now. From now on, our machinery factory's scrap metal business will only supply Lao Li, and we will no longer cooperate with anyone else."
Section Chief Zhou's implication was that Chen Dazhu shouldn't rack his brains so much in the future.
Although he offered better terms than Li Junsheng, Li Junsheng had the support of the deputy factory director!
Upon hearing Section Chief Zhou's words, Chen Dazhu's eyes widened in disbelief as he pointed at Li Junsheng and exclaimed, "Only supplying him? He's been discussing scrap metal business with you privately too?"
Section Chief Zhou opened his mouth to speak, but Li Junsheng interrupted him and took over Chen Dazhu's words.
“Our leader has a business partnership with the machinery factory. I came to pick up the goods, and Section Chief Zhou said that the scrap materials would only be supplied to me. Is there a problem?”
Section Chief Zhou quickly realized that Li Junsheng didn't want anyone to know that he was the one running the scrap metal business. Realizing that he had almost said the wrong thing, he hurriedly tried to make amends and quickly agreed with Li Junsheng.
"Yes, Lao Li's boss and I are old acquaintances. This scrap material will definitely be given to them first. Lao Li is trusted by my old acquaintance and is specifically responsible for picking up goods from the machinery factory, so I only allow him to come and pick up goods."
After some back and forth, Section Chief Zhou managed to cover up the fact that Li Junsheng was actually the scrap metal buyer!
Ma Weidong and Chen Dazhu were dumbfounded. They had just offended Li Junsheng. If they had known that Section Chief Zhou only allowed Li Junsheng to come and pick up goods, they would not have said those unpleasant things.

Chen Dazhu spent a lot of money to make this deal happen, and even though Section Chief Zhou had already made his intentions clear, he still persisted and asked Section Chief Zhou, "Section Chief Zhou, is there really no chance for me to buy scrap from the machinery factory?"
Section Chief Zhou gave a perfunctory reply, "Wait for further notice. If you really want to buy it, I'll let you know if there are any changes."
"How long do we have to wait?"
"I'm not sure. Why don't you ask other machine factories?"
Chen Dazhu wanted to ask more questions, but Li Junsheng stopped him.
Li Junsheng gave Chen Dazhu a half-smile, deliberately disgusting, and said, "Alright, you're not going to be able to pick up this cargo today. How much deposit did you pay Qin Yong? I'll refund it to you, but I won't refund the fuel cost for him driving all the way to the machinery factory!"
"Anyway, I didn't call the car, so you'll have to pay for it yourself. You, Chen Dazhu, are rich and powerful. You just told me to do more work and give me more money. You shouldn't be concerned about this little bit of money now, right?"
Upon hearing this, Chen Dazhu's face turned as if he had swallowed a live fly. Not only could he not deliver the goods, but now he couldn't even get back the entire deposit he had given to Qin Yong.
How could he not care about that little bit of money? After all, Chen Dazhu was truly destitute and didn't even have enough money for his coffin.
Chen Dazhu turned to ask Qin Yong for the full deposit, but Section Chief Zhou ignored him and directly called the security personnel to chase away the two people who were not from the factory!
Li Junsheng was even happier; now he wouldn't have to get his deposit back.
After kicking Chen Dazhu and Ma Weidong out, Section Chief Zhou finally got some peace and quiet.
Now Section Chief Zhou only needs to deal with Li Junsheng. He can't let Li Junsheng think that he's not honest enough and that he's comparing prices with Chen Dazhu!
So she turned the tables and complained to Li Junsheng, "Hey, Lao Li, why didn't you say you had connections in the factory earlier? You almost made me fall for that Chen Dazhu's tricks. These past two days you've been gone, and that guy said you were in jail. He's been pestering me to do scrap metal business. But you're perfectly fine here. That guy is really good at conning people."
Li Junsheng smiled but didn't say anything. He knew perfectly well whether Chen Dazhu had fooled him or he was just being ungrateful.
"I'm perfectly fine. I just happened to be here to pick up a batch of goods today. Is that alright?"
Section Chief Zhou immediately nodded in agreement, "No problem. Do you need me to take you to the warehouse to explain things? From now on, you won't need to ask me when you're hauling goods. But how did you get to know our factory's deputy director?"
