Chapter 457 Color TV

Xu Manman found the remote control and turned it on. "It's in color!"

Although she often watched videos on the system projection in the space, the colorful images on this big-headed TV still made her excited, especially when she saw a familiar, but younger and more vivid face on the screen.

Her parents had never chased idols this young in her previous life, right? This is much better than what she ate back then.

Lying on the sofa next to Jin Yinan, Xu Manman watched the midnight show with great interest, even though it had no fancy decorations.

But watching TV like this was too monotonous. Xu Manman turned her head and winked at Jin Yinan.

Xiao Jin sighed. Maybe the host had forgotten how much she had eaten before, so her stomach was only a little empty.

Although it thought so, it still didn't want to spoil its host's fun, so it got up and went to the open kitchen on the other side of the living room to tinker with it for a while. When it came back, it was holding a tray full of food and drinks.

On top were two drinks and some braised food. Knowing that Xu Manman couldn't eat much at this point, Xiao Jin placed the long, narrow cup in front of her. Five plates of braised food were placed on the plate: duck bones, duck intestines, duck wings, edamame, and dried bean curd sheets, but each plate wasn't very full.

Just as Xiao Jin guessed, Xu Manman drank two sips of the drink, and after eating a duck bone and a few edamame, she couldn't eat any more, and she was slowly starting to feel sleepy.

Xiao Jin supported the host's sleepy head with one hand, carefully leaned her against the sofa, went to the kitchen to wash and dry his hands, then picked up Xu Manman from the sofa and went to the bedroom. He gently placed her on the bed by the window with both hands, covered her with a quilt, and then came out to the living room to clean up the mess.

Ten minutes later, the rustling noises in the living room quieted down, and the footsteps were getting closer and closer to the master bedroom.

Jin Yinan walked in, turned off the main light in the bedroom, leaving only the sleep light in the corner on, and lay down on the other single bed, lying flat on his back, but his head was always facing Xu Manman.

(It's a bit scary.)

As time passed, Xiao Jin slowly closed his eyes, quietly feeling the host nearby, the host's steady and orderly breathing, and the scent of the host's shower gel.

It was intoxicated by the host's strong sense of presence and adjusted its breathing to the same frequency as the host, as if it was sharing a dream with Xu Manman at this moment, and everything was so wonderful.

At 6 o'clock in the morning, Xiao Jin opened his eyes. The light in the bedroom with the curtains drawn was still dim, but the host in his eyes was so clear and cute.

He quietly picked up Xu Manman from the bed, held her up with one hand, and put her hand on his shoulder with the other hand so that she could continue to sleep.

Holding the host, he flashed into the space, changed Xu Manman into the autumn clothes and trousers that she would wear in Beijing, and placed her on the soft couch.

It first returned to the bedroom of the main house in Jingshi, rekindled the kang fire which was only slightly warm, and confirmed that the temperature in the bedroom had risen before moving Xu Manman out of the space.

Xu Manman herself slept until nine in the morning.

There was nothing to do on Sundays, so she and Chen Ming usually didn't go out. Xu Manman took a walk around Hong Kong City last night, and she had no desire to go out today.

She looked at Chen Ming, who was writing and drawing on the desk in front of her, and felt a little confused.

She doesn't go out because she is a homebody by nature, and there is nothing interesting for her to see in the streets of this era.

But Chen Ming has always been a social butterfly, not to mention his school days in Hai City, but also when he was at the educated youth camp. As an outsider, he single-handedly promoted the social relationship between the new and old educated youth, and as long as the weather was good, he would either lead his friends up the mountain or down the stream.

After coming to Peking University and Tsinghua University and returning to the city, I rarely go out.

Xu Manman thought about it carefully. When she lived in the dormitory last semester, although she would study with her at noon, she would also be with her roommates and classmates at other times. They didn’t stay together every weekend, especially when the house was just being built.

But since the beginning of this semester, Chen Ming has hardly left her side except during classes. Is it her who has tripped up her cousin?

As soon as this thought came to mind, Xu Manman immediately became uneasy.

Noticing his cousin's restlessness, Chen Ming looked up at her, "Manman, what's wrong?" She was a little tired last night and overslept this morning. Could she have a cold?

Chen Ming stood up and reached out to touch Xu Manman's forehead. "...You don't have a fever, but I'll make you some ginger tea later to warm you up."
