Chapter 19 His wife had never smiled at him like that before.
The car stopped at Xiyuan.
Jin Qingyu gave Jiang Xingyao no chance to struggle, carrying her directly into the house and throwing her onto the sofa.
Even though the sofa was soft, when Jiang Xingyao was thrown onto it, she still felt her internal organs churn. Her hands unconsciously went to protect her lower abdomen, and she looked up at Jin Qingyu: "What's wrong with you?"
Jiang Xingyao didn't want to go crazy with Jin Qingyu.
She struggled to get up, but was pushed back down.
Jin Qingyu loosened the tie around his neck and then pressed her hands above her head, binding them tightly.
His body then pressed down on Jiang Xingyao.
Jiang Xingyao didn't want to look at him and turned her head to one side.
She could just see the large bunch of red roses that she had thrown into the trash can.
A few petals were scattered on the carpet, and when they were run over by the soles of the shoes, the bright red juice was squeezed out, like a large patch of blood spreading out.
It's like her heart, which has been stabbed and is now bloody and mangled.
Jin Qingyu also saw the roses that had been smashed to pieces.
His eyes grew increasingly somber.
He pinched Jiang Xingyao's chin with his fingers, forcing her to look him in the eye: "What do you mean by divorce? You blame me for contacting Secretary Jiang. I think the problem is clearly with Mrs. Jin. Tell me, when are you going to find someone else?"
When she heard him say that, Jiang Xingyao's eyes widened.
I never imagined he could distort the facts to this extent.
"Do you think everyone is as filthy as you?" Jiang Xingyao retorted, lowering her head and biting Jin Qingyu's tiger's mouth.
The man winced in pain and gasped, but the hand that was holding her still didn't let go.
His face pressed directly against Jiang Xingyao's, his cool lips touching hers.
suck…
Biting...
plunder…
Jiang Xingyao was enveloped in the fragrance of ebony, and she felt as if the last bit of air in her mouth was being squeezed out.
The man on top of her was like a raging beast, irrational and only knowing how to vent.
She tried with all her might but couldn't break free.
Jiang Xingyao was struggling to breathe.
She felt his hand forcefully explore her skirt, and her somewhat dazed consciousness suddenly snapped back to reality.
She raised her foot and, with lightning speed, kicked the man hard in the knee.
They actually managed to throw the unsuspecting person off the ground.
As fresh air filled her nostrils, Jiang Xingyao gasped for breath like a dying fish.
The feeling of almost suffocating brought tears to her eyes.
It took Jiang Xingyao a while to recover her senses. She said coldly, "Jin Qingyu, when you're in heat, please make sure you know your target. Don't just gnaw on things like a stray dog."
During the struggle, the tie binding her wrists came undone, and Jiang Xingyao's hands were freed.
She couldn't be bothered to look at the man sitting on the ground anymore. She got up to leave, but Jin Qingyu reached out and grabbed her shoulder, pressing her back down.
Jin Qingyu's fingers pressed against the corner of Jiang Xingyao's eye, where a warm, moist sensation was within reach.
Jiang Xingyao heard him ask, "Is Mrs. Jin so resistant to me because his technique is better than mine?"
The hoarse voice sounded like the melody of a cello filling the eardrums.
Jiang Xingyao's eyelashes trembled slightly, feeling that the person in front of her was becoming increasingly unreasonable.
She just felt that she couldn't reason with him.
I'd rather not say anything.
Jin Qingyu asked again, "Why aren't you saying anything? Did you really sleep with him? How many times? Is it because of him that you want to divorce me?"
"If you're sick, go get treatment. Don't go crazy here," Jiang Xingyao retorted, unable to bear it any longer.
Jin Qingyu's expression didn't change much. He touched the zipper at the back of Jiang Xingyao's skirt and ripped it open with a zipper.
The cold air from the air conditioner blew against her skin, sending a chill down her spine, and Jiang Xingyao felt like cursing again.
But Jin Qingyu seemed to know her intention and immediately covered her mouth: "Mrs. Jin's words are always unpleasant, so let's not say anything for now. Let your husband check where he touched you."
Jiang Xingyao felt his gaze sweeping over her, as if questioning and probing. An unprecedented sense of humiliation washed over her, and tears rolled down her cheeks almost uncontrollably.
A tear fell onto the back of Jin Qingyu's hand, its warmth instantly turning icy cold as the air conditioner blew it away.
Jin Qingyu seemed to suddenly come to his senses, and he loosened his grip on Jiang Xingyao's mouth.
Jiang Xingyao just stared at him like that.
She felt very, very tired.
She hugged her knees with both hands, curling her body into a ball, as if this would give her some comfort.
But it won't happen.
Even with her eyes closed, she could still picture the suspicious look in Jin Qingyu's eyes.
Jiang Xingyao raised her head, her eyes brimming with tears, and stared at Jin Qingyu. She said, almost word by word, "Jin Qingyu, don't think of others as dirty as you. I'm not as disgusting as you."
In Jin Qingyu's memory, Jiang Xingyao was always arrogant.
Even when he was late for the wedding, and Jiang Xingyao stood alone in the wedding hall, her back was straight. No matter how others ridiculed her, it seemed that nothing could make her bend.
This was the first time Jin Qingyu had seen her so vulnerable.
It looks like a flower that could bend at the slightest touch.
Even its once straight back bent over.
The skirt, now undone, hung loosely, the zipper undone, revealing large expanses of the woman's snow-white back.
Jin Qingyu could even see her spine, which was noticeably protruding from bending over.
With a dark look in his eyes, Jin Qingyu raised his hand and then lowered it again, but in the end, he did not touch Jiang Xingyao again.
He called Lin's mother and asked her to come and watch over Jiang Xingyao, then took his car keys and went out.
Even as the door slammed shut, Jiang Xingyao still felt a sharp pain in her heart that made it hard to breathe.
Jin Qingyu didn't leave. He sat in his car and called Assistant Xu, asking for the restaurant's surveillance footage from that afternoon.
The video begins playing when Jiang Xingyao enters the room.
He didn't fast forward.
Just staring at it, fixed on the spot.
He saw the man gentlemanly pull out a seat for his wife and then sit down opposite her.
The surveillance camera had no sound, so he couldn't hear what the two people were saying. He could only see that the man was talking animatedly, while his wife sat there indifferently and aloofly.
Halfway through the surveillance footage, the man said something again, and his usually indifferent wife smiled, even her usually cold eyes lit up.
Jin Qingyu had never seen his wife smile so beautifully before.
With a muffled thud, his hand slammed onto the steering wheel. Jiang Xingyao's overly bright smile was like a thorn piercing his heart.
His wife had never smiled at him like that before, yet she smiled so brightly at some random stranger who had appeared out of nowhere.
If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, he would have thought that Jiang Xingyao would never smile like that.
Assistant Xu didn't leave. Through the half-open car window, he looked at Jin Qingyu's gloomy face: "Mr. Jin, are you alright?"
Jin Qingyu lit a cigarette.
The taste of nicotine briefly numbed his brain. He said, "Go and find out what Mrs. [Lady] did today, and who was that person with her?"
Jiang Xingyao sat on the sofa for almost half an hour before she finally came to her senses.
She didn't hear the car engine, so she knew Jin Qingyu hadn't left at all.
After a long day of turmoil, Jiang Xingyao felt utterly exhausted, both physically and mentally. She no longer had the energy to think about why Jin Qingyu hadn't left.
Back in the bedroom, Jiang Xingyao immediately locked the door from the inside.
She took a quick shower, and when she returned, through the curtains billowing in the wind, she could still see the Bentley parked in the yard with its window half open. The man's elbow was resting on the window, a cigarette between his fingers, the orange flame flickering.
Cigarette butts were scattered all over the ground nearby.
Jiang Xingyao glanced at it once and then completely closed the curtains.
Sometimes she really thought Jin Qingyu was crazy.
For example, right now, he's the one who's going crazy, and he's also the one downstairs putting on a melancholy act.
When Jiang Xingyao woke up in the morning, Jin Qingyu was sitting in the living room. The roses that had been scattered all over the floor yesterday had been cleaned up, and the carpet had been replaced. Everything seemed as calm as if nothing had happened.
At the dining table, in front of her seat, was still a cup of red date soy milk.
Jiang Xingyao silently took her seat.
Jin Qingyu said, "After we finish eating, come out with me for a bit."
"I don't want to go." Jiang Xingyao didn't know what was wrong with him again, and refused without even thinking.
Jin Qingyu said, "I promised to take you out to relax, and it was my fault for breaking my promise. I won't do it today."
This explains the purpose of going out today.
But Jiang Xingyao was no longer interested.
Jiang Xingyao wanted to refuse again, but Jin Qingyu didn't say anything more.
Jiang Xingyao thought that the matter was over and done with. After the meal, Jin Qingyu forcibly put her into the car.
When the car stopped, Jiang Xingyao felt that the place Jin Qingyu had brought her to looked somewhat familiar.
It wasn't until the man took her hand and led her to a shop that Jiang Xingyao realized it was the music store she had wandered around in a daze the day before.
"You had someone investigate me?" Jiang Xingyao asked.
Jin Qingyu didn't deny it, and directly pointed to the piano that Jiang Xingyao had tried yesterday: "Do you like this one?"
"dislike."
They were about to get divorced, and she no longer wanted anything from Jin Qingyu.
Jin Qingyu acted as if he hadn't heard Jiang Xingyao's words, and still paid for the piano and placed the order.
He then took Jiang Xingyao to the mall.
Regardless of the new bags or clothes, and no matter how coldly Jiang Xingyao refused, he would pay directly and have them delivered to Xiyuan.
Although it was called shopping, Jiang Xingyao was like a puppet from beginning to end, not offering any opinions. It was Jin Qingyu who was performing the whole time.
Jiang Xingyao didn't know who he was trying to impress.
I feel that everything today is incredibly ironic.
Jin Qingyu also booked the lunch spot. It wasn't until Jiang Xingyao ran into Shen Mingsu at the restaurant that she realized what Jin Qingyu had been up to that day.
Jin Qingyu didn't book a private room; instead, he booked the entire first-floor lobby. Candles and a few scattered red rose petals were placed on the table, accompanied by the melodious piano music playing in the lobby, creating a silent and ambiguous atmosphere.
Jiang Xingyao sat there feeling awkward.
Because the person playing the piano in the hall was none other than Shen Mingsu.
She felt that none of this was an accident; Jin Qingyu must have known that Shen Mingsu was there and came on purpose.
To assert sovereignty.
He was acting so deliberately; Jiang Xingyao didn't remember him ever caring about her like that before.
