Chapter 17: Yun Yao Disappears

Yun Mo pretended to comfort him, "Don't panic, let's ask the train police and conductor to help us find it first."

"good!"

After searching the entire train for more than an hour, Yun Yao was still not found. After the police officers questioned Yun Mo and Zhou Sao and checked Yun Yao's luggage, they initially estimated that Yun Yao might have been abducted by human traffickers.

In this day and age, human trafficking crimes are rampant.

The police officer’s words almost frightened Mrs. Zhou to death, and Yun Mo also pretended to be panicked and frightened.

Yun Mo and Zhou Sao immediately got off the bus at the nearest stop, went to the local police station to report the case, and called the Yun family to inform them.

When Jiang Yu heard the news that Yun Yao was missing, he almost went crazy and scolded both Yun Mo and Zhou Sao.

The next afternoon, Yun Shixian and Jiang Yu arrived.

As soon as they met, Jiang Yu raised his hand and slapped Yun Mo.

"Tell me, what did you do? Why did Xiaoyao disappear for no reason?"

Yun Mo did not expect that Jiang Yu would dare to beat people in the police station. She was caught off guard and was hit hard.

The next second, she hit back without changing anything.

“Bang!”

Jiang Yu covered her face with one hand and almost poked her nose with the other hand, "You! How dare you fight back?"

Yun Mo also touched her burning cheek and stepped back to distance herself from the other person.

"You can hit me indiscriminately, why can't I fight back?"

"You are such an unfilial daughter. You dared to slap your elder in public. You are simply lawless. I must teach you a lesson today."

Yun Shixian raised his hands towards her in anger.

Yun Mo certainly would not stand there and get beaten. She hid behind the police officer and shouted, "You are not my biological parents, and you kicked me out of the house. What right do you have to beat me now?"

Hearing this, the police subconsciously stopped Yun Shixian and said, "Comrade, please talk nicely. Don't use violence."

No matter how domineering Yun Shixian was, he didn't dare to go against the police and could only swallow his anger.

Jiang Yu, who was standing by, was so angry that she was shaking all over. "You stupid girl, what did you do? Why did Xiaoyao get lost out of nowhere?"

Yun Mo argued with red eyes: "What can I do? The ticket was bought by Yun Yao, and she disappeared when I woke up. I don't even know what happened."

Jiang Yu looked so angry that he wanted to eat someone. "If I knew that it was you who killed Xiaoyao, I would never forgive you!"

Yun Shixian ignored the argument between the two and went straight to the police officer in charge of the case. When he learned that Yun Yao might have been abducted by human traffickers, Yun Shixian's face suddenly darkened.

Compared with Yun Yao's safety, he cared more about the marriage between the Yun and Su families.

Given the status of the Su family, there is no way they would accept a trafficked woman as their daughter-in-law.

Looking at his adopted daughter's delicate and touching face with tears in her eyes, Yun Shixian suddenly felt a little regretful that he should not have married his adopted daughter off so hastily.

The only solution now is to conceal Yun Yao’s disappearance and find her as soon as possible.

When Yun Yao woke up, she realized something was wrong, but she was put in a sack, her hands and feet were tied, and her mouth was blocked, so she couldn't cry out even if she was in pain.

Instead, because he struggled so hard, he was kicked several times.

"Hey, be gentle. How can you sell it for money if you hurt someone?"

Seeing that Hu Laoer was not very harsh in his attack, Xie Caixia complained a few words in dissatisfaction.

After walking for several hours under the scorching sun and carrying a load of more than 100 pounds on his shoulders, Hu Laoer was already exhausted. When he heard Xie Caixia's scolding, he couldn't help but get angry.

"We should have taken the minibus. If we keep walking this way, we might not even reach our destination by dark!"

Xie Caixia rolled her eyes at him and said, "You know nothing. There are so many people on the bus. If we are found out, we will both go to jail!"

After saying this, he saw Hu Laoer sweating profusely, and felt a little uncomfortable.

"There's a forest ahead. Let's go in and take a rest. Have some water and eat something."

Xie Caixia opened her own water bottle and took two sips, then walked towards the sack, ready to open the bag to let the person inside breathe and give him some water.

When the sack was opened, Xie Caixia was stunned when she recognized the person inside the sack was Yun Yao.

"What's going on?"

Meeting Yun Yao's murderous gaze, Xie Caixia quickly took the cloth out of her mouth.

"Hey, sister, why is it you?"

Yun Yao was so angry that she wanted to curse but she found that her throat was hurting badly because she had struggled so hard before that her throat was broken.

After drinking half a pot of water, Yun Yao felt her throat felt better.

"Didn't I tell you that bed number 7 was the lower bunk? How did you do it?!"

Xie Caixia complained, "It's bed number 7. I checked it with a flashlight."

After being stuck in the sack for nearly ten hours, Yun Yao felt hot and tired. She raised her hand to wipe the sweat off her face, only to find that her clothes had been changed.

Her expression changed slightly, "Did you change my clothes?"

Xie Caixia shook her head. "You were wearing this when I entered the carriage."

Yun Yao vaguely guessed that it was Yun Mo who did something, but the thought was quickly rejected.

She planned this matter carefully and secretly, and it was impossible for Yun Mo to foresee it in advance and make these arrangements.

If the other party was really that smart, he wouldn't have been fooled by her in the past six months.

But she didn't have time to find out what was going on right now, and she had to find a way to go back as soon as possible.

Just when Yun Shixian was racking his brains over how to find his missing daughter, news came from the police station that Yun Yao had been found.

In the hospital.

Yun Yao had gauze wrapped around her head and her arm fixed with plaster. She told everyone about her terrifying experience with a look of relief and fear on her face.

"…While they were asleep, I used broken pieces of a bowl to cut the rope and ran out. It was dark and the road was steep, so I accidentally rolled down the hillside and was rescued by a kind passerby."

Jiang Yu was terrified when he heard this, "Xiaoyao, do you know the two people who kidnapped you?"

Yun Yao shook her head, "I don't know him."

In fact, on the way back, she also thought about whether she should push the matter onto Yun Mo, but she was worried that without evidence it would backfire.

After learning that Jiang Yu beat Yun Mo because of this incident, Yun Yao "thoughtfully" defended Yun Mo.

"Mom, you misunderstood. This incident has nothing to do with Xiaomo. Maybe someone was watching me when I went to the dining car to buy food."

This explanation not only failed to calm Jiang Yu, but made him even angrier.

"You were accompanying her back home, not serving her as a babysitter, and she actually asked you to go to the dining car alone to buy food?"

"Xiaomo didn't do it on purpose. Even I didn't expect to be targeted by bad guys."

The more Yun Yao spoke up for Yun Mo, the angrier Jiang Yu became.

Even if the daughter’s kidnapping had nothing to do with the adopted daughter, the daughter had been lying in the hospital for half a day and the adopted daughter had not come to visit her.

I really raised an ungrateful person.

Yun Mo didn’t know that Jiang Yu was dissatisfied with her. Of course, even if she knew, she wouldn’t care, but she still came to the hospital.

Yun Yao's injuries were not serious, but not light either. She needed at least a few days to recover. She didn't want to waste time here.

She wanted to find Yun Yao to ask for the address of her hometown and go back by herself.
