Chapter 40 Deceiving People into Marriage

The man's forceful and uncompromising kiss carried a resolute air, leaving her no room to escape, not even a moment to breathe. Between their lips and teeth was his unique, cool, and domineering scent!

"Ugh..." Qiao Wanwan could hardly breathe, and instinctively reached out to push him away, "Zhan...Zhan Jingting...ugh...what are you doing..."

During the struggle, both of them fell off their wheelchairs.

Because of her posture, Qiao Wanwan was destined to land first.

Zhan Jingting immediately raised his hand to protect the back of her head, preventing her from hitting her head.

Qiao Wanwan was consumed by anger and didn't notice these details. She only knew that although there was a carpet, she still fell quite hard, and his entire weight was on top of her.

"Zhan Jingting, get out of my way!" Qiao Wanwan roared.

The man was stunned, and a look of sorrow welled up in his dark, deep eyes, but it was quickly replaced by a look of determination!

He gripped her wrist, easily controlling it with one hand, while using the other to ignite a fire within her. His deep, husky voice carried an undeniable forcefulness, "You want a divorce, is that it? I'll show you right now what the marital obligations of a wife like you are!"

After Zhan Jingting finished speaking, he lowered his head and kissed her again.

"No... I didn't..." Qiao Wanwan felt her pajamas being ripped open. Her eyes widened, and her whole body tensed. "Zhan Jingting... let me go... um..."

The man remained unmoved and kissed her even more passionately.

Qiao Wanwan frowned, struggling in his arms, "Zhan Jingting...it hurts..."

The man on top of her paused, looked up at her, and asked, "Where does it hurt?"

The girl in his arms was pale, cold sweat beading on her forehead. "My stomach... my stomach hurts so much..."

Zhan Jingting quickly sat up, "Did I crush you?"

Qiao Wanwan clutched her stomach with both hands, curling up in pain.

Zhan Jingting looked closely and saw a splash of red on the snow-white carpet!

"Wanwan, what's wrong?" The man panicked completely. "I didn't touch you at all! Someone! Call a doctor!"

Jiang Dong rushed over with a female doctor. After examining Qiao Wanwan, she came out of the room and reported, "Master Zhan, Madam is fine. She just had her period and was feeling stressed, which caused her lower abdomen to cramp. I gave her painkillers, and she's asleep now."

"Understood." The man closed his eyes. "Go downstairs and wait. You are not allowed to leave tonight."

"yes."

......

When Qiao Wanwan woke up, she found that it was already daylight.

Zhan Jingting was not in the room, and the divorce agreement was also gone, as if nothing had happened yesterday.

A dull ache came from her lower abdomen, and Qiao Wanwan felt so uncomfortable that she had no strength left.

After a while, she finally managed to get out of bed, her body exhausted, and slowly made her way to the bathroom, clutching her stomach.

After Qiao Wanwan finished washing up, she went downstairs. The maid came up to her and reported, "Madam, the master asked me to tell you that he has gone on a business trip."

Qiao Wanwan pursed her lips. "I understand."

I just don't know how long he plans to disappear this time, or what kind of medicine he plans to give her!

"Are you hungry? I'll go get you something to eat."

"Thanks."

Qiao Wanwan sat in the restaurant, slowly drinking her porridge. She was so hungry that her stomach was practically sticking to her back, but she couldn't taste the food and had no appetite.

She thought it was time for her to move out, but she was feeling really unwell and probably couldn't find a place to live anytime soon.

Qiao Wanwan forced herself to drink most of a bowl of porridge, got up and went upstairs. Just as she reached the top of the stairs, she heard the voices of several maids talking.

"My husband is gone. I can finally relax for a few days. When he was at home, I felt like I was risking my life."

"No way, I'd rather risk my life to see my husband every day than have him not come home."

"Stop daydreaming. You think you can have your eyes on a man like him?"

"If I had known that an ugly and lame woman could marry my husband, I should have worked harder back then. Maybe I would be the mistress of this villa now, or at the very least, I could get ten million after a divorce!"

"That woman is disgusting; it's a wonder that my husband can eat in front of her."

"Now look what's happened. The husband's mother has come knocking on the door. Her good days are over. The husband looked very upset when he left. It's obvious that the divorce is inevitable."

Qiao Wanwan smiled faintly and slowly went upstairs.

For two days in a row, Zhan Jingting did not return.

Qiao Wanwan never left the villa and spent most of her time resting in bed.

As evening approached, she got up and went downstairs, asking the maid, "I'm hungry, is there anything to eat?"

The maid glanced at her, her attitude clearly different from before. "Anyway, the master isn't coming back, and both chefs have taken leave, so no one will cook for you today."

Qiao Wanwan went to the kitchen on her own; she wasn't so delicate that she would starve if no one served her.

The maid followed her into the kitchen. "I just tidied up the refrigerator, so don't rummage through it."

Qiao Wanwan turned to look at her, "Could it be that I'm mistaken? Are you the lady of this villa?"

This maid was the one who was infatuated with Zhan Jingting. Her feelings were exposed, and she immediately became angry and embarrassed. "Don't try to intimidate me with your status as the mistress of the house. Go look at yourself in the mirror. Do you even deserve the master?"

"Even though you're crippled, you still can't behave yourself. You use your seductive charm to lure men, and you even faked a pregnancy to trick your husband into marrying you. Do you think this is a palace drama?"
