Qiao Wanwan didn't speak until the door to the ward was closed. Then she slowly raised her left hand, looked at the ring on her ring finger, and muttered to herself.

Qiao Wanwan stepped forward, and the filthy boy curled up on the ground immediately looked at her with wary eyes, tightly protecting the things in his arms.
Just as Qiao Wanwan was about to see what was in his arms, the boy suddenly got up and ran away quickly.
Qiao Wanwan didn't pay any attention and turned to leave, saying, "Let's go."

I hadn't gone far when a terrified voice suddenly rang in my ears, "Grandma! Grandma! What's wrong with you!"
The sound was coming from a dilapidated house. Qiao Wanwan hesitated for a moment, then turned and walked towards the house.
“Madam,” Jiang Dong stopped her, “this place is not safe to stay any longer, we should go back.”

Jiang Dong had no choice but to knock on the door. When no one answered, he pushed the door open and went inside.
On the dilapidated bed lay an elderly man, breathing rapidly and gasping for air. The boy who had been there earlier was kneeling on the ground beside him, holding a lunchbox in his hand.
