"Qiaoqiao, are you free? I'd like to see you."
“Okay.” Qiao Wanwan checked the time. “I’m at the Dijin Group now. Send me the address and I’ll be right there.”
"Okay, see you in a bit."
Wen Lixuan arranged to meet at his apartment in the city, which was only a ten-minute drive from the Dijin Group.
After ringing the doorbell, Wen Lixuan came to open the door, "Qiao Qiao."
Seeing that she was followed by bodyguards, Wen Lixuan added, "I have something to say to you privately. Can they wait at the door?"
The bodyguard disagreed, saying, "No, we must stay with Madam at all times."
"It's alright," Qiao Wanwan said. "You guys wait here, I'll let you know if anything happens."
The bodyguard could only nod. "Yes, Madam."
Qiao Wanwan followed Wen Lixuan into the house. "What's going on? Why are you being so secretive?"
Wen Lixuan led Qiao Wanwan directly to the study door and said, "Come in."
Qiao Wanwan walked into the study and was surprised to see Wen Lijing sitting on the sofa in front of the French windows.
Qiao Wanwan frowned slightly and turned to look at Wen Lixuan.
Wen Lixuan said apologetically, "My brother has something to tell you. Don't worry, I won't allow him to hurt you. I'll wait for you outside. Call me if you need anything."
Qiao Wanwan wasn't worried about that; even when facing Wen Lijing, she had the ability to protect herself.
She just doesn't like being deceived.
However, Qiao Wanwan didn't leave immediately. Instead, she walked up to Wen Lijing and asked, "You went to all this trouble to find me. Is there something you need?"
Wen Lijing's facial injuries had healed, but Qiao Wanwan wondered if it was just her imagination, but he didn't look very well.
"Wanwan, sit down," Wen Lijing said with a smile. "If it weren't for Lixuan, I probably wouldn't have been able to see you."
Qiao Wanwan sat down on the sofa next to her. "Now that I'm here, just say what you need to say."
Wen Lijing took a sip of hot tea and said calmly, "Jing Ting is going to die, do you know that?"
